Fuck right off. When I told a girl I considered a friend I wasn’t interested due to the little fact I’m HOMOSEXUAL she threw me on a bed and tried to force me.
She carried on saying that I wasn’t really gay I was just playing hard to get.
But nope, she threw me on a bed and put herself on top of me and began to touch me.
Not only that but because men are told from a young age never to hit a woman I couldn’t even defend myself.
FUCK. RIGHT. OFF.
So the moral of the story is “Women don’t complain about the friend zone” because it doesn’t fit into societies narrative, not because it doesn’t happen.
The question you should be asking yourself is, does anything we say actually reflect reality, or are we just reinforcing expectations?
I don’t even get this “women don’t complain about the friend zone” business. I definitely do. There’s this guy I’m crazy about and he’s Friendzoned me hard-core and it sucks. Obviously I’m not going to kill him over it, but I definitely acknowledge that it’s a thing and it’s not fun. When did it become something only men complain about? That’s news to me.
