TO BE KILLED 5/11/19
**She loves people, she loves dogs, she loves toys, she loves bellyrubs – Amandi is the perfect princess! ***
A volunteer writes: “Amandi is a ball of sweetness and love who will make a wonderful addition to your family! She is the epitome of puppy enthusiasm! She LOVES people, she LOVES dogs, she LOVES toys, and she LOVES belly rubs! On our walk she wanted to greet everybody with friendly tail waggles and happy pants for all people and dogs. In the yard she had happy zoomies just to be out. When I introduced a toy she had more adorable happy zoomies. After a few rounds of zoomies Amandi was happy to accept some belly rubs and treats, with no complaints about the drizzle of rain outside. Amandi is an amazing dog in need of an amazing person (people) who is willing to do some basic training with her (which is sure to be a success as Amandi wants nothing more than to please her humans). Come meet this bouncy ball of loveliness at the Manhattan ACC today!” If you can foster or adopt this cutie pie, hurry and Message our page or email us at MustLoveDogsNYC@gmail.com for assistance.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR - Date of initial: 24-Apr-2019
Summary: Active and playful
We have no history on Amandi so we cannot be certain of her behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Level 3
No children (under 13)
No children: Due to the high level of jumping and mouthing seen at the care center, and her ability to get over-aroused, we recommend an adult-only home.
Basic manners/poor impulse control
Mouthiness/poor bite inhibition
Potential challenges comments:
Basic manners/poor impulse control: While at the care center, Amandi is quick to jump up when seeking attention and is very mouthy with medium pressure. Please see handout on Basic manners/poor impulse control.
Social hyperarousal: Amandi quickly becomes over aroused in the presence of people, jumping up and mouthing. She became over-aroused when jogging during the assessment. Please see handout on Arousal.
Mouthiness/poor bite inhibition: Amandi is very mouthy during interactions at the care center and applies medium pressure when she displays this behavior. Please see handout on Mouthiness/poor bite inhibition.
