Gorgeous pooch Barbas needs help finding a new home!
Beautiful Barbas is a shy, friendly boy. He likes playtime and to be close to his person and is well behaved when left home alone. Barbas has lived with a child and was friendly and affectionate around the kid. He seems not so fond of his own kind and might want to be your only fur child. OWNER SURRENDER NOTES - BASIC INFORMATION: Barbas is a 8 year old large mixed breed dog whose owner got him from a friend and who is being surrendered due to unforeseen circumstances and lack of time to care for him appropriately. Barbas previously lived with 2 adults and 1 child. Barbas is described as shy. When visitors come over he tends to stay away and cower a bit. He has lived with children and he is described as affectionate. He approaches children and allows to be petted. Barbas has never lived with dogs. He gets walked frequently and he is often very reactive to dogs and often time charges towards them. He is muzzled when he is walked at times. Barbas has never lived with cats either, his behavior is unknown around cats. Barbas allows the stranger and the family to remove food/treat/toy away. He remains relaxed. No resources guarding. He has no previous bite history, is housetrained and his energy level is medium-low.
Has this dog ever had any medical issues?
Barbas had a stroke 3 years ago which has caused him to lose sensitivity in his left hind leg.
For a New Family to Know
Barbas is an exuberant 8 year old large mixed breed dog. He is described to be potty trained and is accustomed to using the bathroom outdoors. He occasionally has accidents according to his owner whenever he is not walked throughout the day. Barbas loves stuffed toys, games of tug a war as well as wrestling. Barbas has never been around heavy storms nor fireworks. He has been in a car plenty of times and is fine inside of them. He loves to be outdoors and walked as frequently as possible. When off leash he tends to run around. Barbas does however remain close to her owner. Barbas is described to like both dry and went food. the brand of food h enjoys the most is Cesar. Barbas tends to follow his owner around when they arrive home, in addition to likes to be in the same room. He sleeps either on the floor on a towel or on his owner's bed. When left alone Barbas is described to be well behaved.

Transport is available if you live within the prescribed range of states.
