We are saddened to announce the passing of Sen. Barnie Sandlers.
Barnard "Barnie" Sanders was born in 1941 in Brooklyn, New York. From an early age, he knew he was destined to lead and inspire. Barnie became interested in creating memes at an early age, fueled by his fervent atheism and admiration for video games.
In the 1960s, Barnie took to the streets to fight for the right of every person—no matter their color, creed, gender identity, or sexual orientation—to engage in the creation of dank memes. He was arrested more than once, and paid several hefty fines.
In 1980, Barnie ran a successful campaign to become mayor of Burlington, Vermont. His first act as mayor was to survey the city's famous Coat Factory, wondering whether it truly consisted of "more than great coats." (An aide had to inform Barnie that the Burlington in question was actually in New Jersey).
Much later, Barnie was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and eventually to the U.S. Senate. He began a 2016 presidential campaign—which he lost—then he died before he paid his campaign staff, so they didn't bother with the rest of his obituary. You old asshole.
Rest in peace, Barnie. We felt your barn.
