Season Recap and Bio
Robinson was signed in 2017 as one of the top international prospects in baseball for around 2 million, becoming Hazens first big international splash. He enjoyed a break out campaign last year reaching an affiliate at just the age of 17 and not disappointing.
Robinson is the only prospect in the system with a realistic super star ceiling. He has a massive 6-3/200 LB frame and will only add more size just turning 18 a few months ago, he already posses 60 grade power and 60 grade speed and has potential to stay in CF with his athleticism . One scout compared his potential impact being from the Bahamas and his projection to what Andruw Jones meant for Curacao. From a prospect comparison my comp for him is Justin Upton in terms of how prolific he can be as a prospect. Potential 30/30 guy with above average defense at CF and GG level at the corner. Still a ways away and has some swing and miss to his game but he has all the makings of being a star.
As I mentioned earlier I see Justin Upton level prospect with Robinson, he is one of, if not the youngest prospects to appear on a professional prospects list already (credit to Keith Law for being high on him early). He has an approach that is way advanced for his age to where even if they bring him along slower levels wise (which they will) he'll move through them quick. Expect the dbacks to keep him in extended spring and send him to Hillsboro where he'll get his first taste of top level pitching prospects.
