HOW TO WORK WITH A PAINFUL KNEE There are a lot of different causes of knee pain, but a large number of them end up giving you pain as you get deeper into flexion. And while you may have been told to 🙅stop squatting or lunging for "X" amount of weeks, that isn't always the best idea. Often the better idea is to modify the range of motion that you work through. By doing so, we keep the knee moving pain free and manage to still put some controlled stress into it. This helps you maintain 💪muscle mass and 💃motor coordination as you heal up. With this lunge progression, we stack up pads until you are at a pain free level. Then you can knock out sets of lunges to your tolerance to get your body feeling safe and strong again. As you adapt and get used to the position, you'll find that you can progress deeper by taking a few pads away. I use this progression for things like... 🔸Patellar or Quad tendinitis 🔸Chondromalacia patella 🔸Osteoarthritis 🔸Meniscus injuries 🔸Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome Eventually, you will be getting all the way to the ground pain free and it'll be like you were never injured in the first place.😄🙌 .
