Being angry is one thing, being hateful is another. You are allowed to be angry but don’t use said anger to be an asshole and come close to end up being the same as the enemy.
Someone: “When your ‘oppressors’ outnumber you on a large scale and you use violence against them when you have proven viable alternatives, they will retaliate in kind. When your first and only resort is violence, bigots will use your actions to convince people that your cause isn’t one of peace or justice, but of violence, and thus you create more enemies and defeat your own cause.”
Frontier-heart, and other assholes who want excuses to grab power and abuse others: “WHAT IS THIS GASLIGHTING BULLSHIT??????????”
“How dare you say we’re not allowed to smash things and hurt people we don’t like!?”
Anger and hatred are not the same thing. Anger is seeing an injustice done and gathering together to peacefully protest that grievance. Hatred is smashing businesses that had nothing to do with the injustice, burning cars belonging to people in the community, and spraying someone in the face with pepper spray when their only offense is to disagree with your position.
