TO BE KILLED – 6/8/2019
If KING ALFRED is anything, he is the King of our hearts. This big, gentle giant has endeared us to him with his shyness that melts away at the sight of treats. And while he may initially be somewhat reserved with new people, it doesn’t take long for him to decide that you are probably not so bad after all, and in fact, great! After he sizes you up and decides you are a friend, he licks your hands to get you to pet him, and pet him, and “oh please, don’t stop petting me” nudges. He is so stoic and sweet despite his itchy skin issues that will need follow up care with a dermatologist. But even with his flakiness, he is truly a magnificent, big hearted, sweetheart who simply dreams of a family who will love him and give him the quiet, calm loving home he would thrive in. As a staff member writes: “King Alfred certainly lives up to his title of King! This gentle giant would love to find a home with a throne-sized bed for him to lie on and watch the world go by. With a mellow attitude, an affinity for other dogs and good looks to match, King Arthur will be a fabulous addition any home. Can you offer that to King Arthur?.” We hope so. Because of his shyness and size, King Alfred needs to go to an experienced foster or adopter in an adult only home (no kids under Age 13). So hurry and Message our page or email us at MustLoveDogsNYC@gmail.com for assistance fostering or adopting this gentle giant.
