TO BE KILLED 6/11/19
:-( Thor was adopted in March and then returned in June. And with a new name -- NERO. But If he could sing, he'd be singing the old Stevie Wonder Song, "I never dreamed you'd leave in summer.....why didn't you stay?" Such a good sweet gentle, and yes -- breathtakingly MAGNIFICENT boy. He's such a gentle soul. He craves to be near you for so much needed TLC. He knows commands, is a good sport (rather indifferent) in playgroup, and we can't imagine why he should have to die on 6/8. . PLEASE help him before it is to late.
A volunteer writes: "I was not too sure if I should take Thor out... A big guy, tall, well built, strong looking and mighty gorgeous. I might not be up to snuff. But he looked so sweet. It was a go! I never regretted it! Thor is a dream to spend time with, a pleasant walker, likely house trained, a very obedient pooch, a perfect sitter, a paw shaker, right and left and a big tail wagger. He loves company and more recently, I discovered that he enjoys hugs and kisses. Nearing other dogs is no problem and I heard that in playgroups with his peers, he was well behaved. Our Thor is all "suave", gentle in his manners and at times, almost timid. What a great companion he will make to the new owner who will make him a beloved pet. Come and meet wondrous Thor at the Manhattan Care Center!
