PERFECT FAMILY PET ROXY WILL BE KILLED SHORTLY AT NYCACC IN BROOKLYN, NY***
***IF YOU READ ROXY’S OWNER SURRENDER NOTES YOU COME AWAY WITH ONE WORD IN YOUR HEAD — PERFECTION!! Because that is what Roxy is. And if she is timid and sad, confused and not herself at the shelter, well let it be known she has only known the love of her parents since she was 3 weeks old! This girl, when she felt safe and loved in a family home was nothing but friendly, open hearted, loving and affectionate with people big or small, and strangers too. She adored and spent time with 2 children, she happily played with other dogs she met on walks, and she was always a well behaved lady with sterling manners and a rock solid resume. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Roxy except that she has been kicked to the curb over a cruel landlord who didn’t want his tenants to have their best friend and companion. But Roxy’s parents chose the apartment over her, and now she sits, heartbroken and alone and trying so hard to put her best paw forward. Will you reward her, or will you let her die? We know what WE want for this amazing family pet – we want her to have all the happiness her heart can hold and that means a NEW family, a committed family, who would live in their car before giving up such a perfect, and perfectly beautiful, soul. Please. Please, PLEASE. won’t you hurry *** NOT RESERVED AFFECTIONATE ROXY WILL BE KILLED AT NYCACC IN BROOKLYN, NY****FREE TRANSPORTATION W/IN 4-6HRS OF SHELTER!****
A staff member writes: Hi everyone! My name is Roxy and I was brought to the Care Centers because my humans had to move and I am too big for their new home. My humans and I were both heartbroken when it was time to say goodbye and I may have been a little too vocal about how upset it made me at first, but it's only because I was really scared! My friends here at BACC have been helping me see that it's really fun to make new friends and that when I'm quiet, I get all of the best back scratches! Sometimes, I still get a little nervous when meeting someone new, but my two-legged friends are showing me the ropes and I am getting more confident each and every day. I know it will take some time to show you how much of a snugglebug I really am, but if you have the time and patience (and don't mind if I cuddle into your lap), you should really come visit me at BACC today! Maybe even bring a soft and squeaky toy for us to play with together!

For a New Family to Know: Roxy is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and excitable. She has a medium to high activity level and likes to play with balls, ropes and Frisbees. In the home, she liked to follow the owner around from room to room. Roxy was kept mostly indoors and is house trained. When left alone in the home or yard, she was always well behaved. Roxy knows the cues sit, come and stay. For exercise, Roxy was taken on a brisk walk on the leash. When on leash, she pulls very lightly. Owner was able to walk her off leash and stated that she would stay by the owners side.
