TO BE KILLED – 8/07/2017
<3 SIR TROY is just about the sweetest, gentlest, cuddliests and kindest soul on the planet – bar none! Despite his being abandoned in a large kennel crate without a hope of being found, he has survived the ordeal and has maintained his incredibly optimistic and generous spirit. His poor coat may be riddled with alopecia, patchy and dull and in need of TLC, but he doesn’t let it get him down. His little tail never stops wagging, and it wags in a soft and endearing way – as if to say “Hi, I’m really hoping you will like me, that you will be my friend, that you will pick me even though I’m not looking my best right now.” Sir Troy simply wins (and breaks) your heart. He is thought to be 7 years old, a perfect age past all puppy nonsense. He is super friendly, waggy and wonderful – just happy to be in your company, and loves to try to be in your lap. He has proven himself to be an absolute darling at the shelter. First, he simply knocked his assessment out of the park, getting ALL COVETED 1’s across the board and a platinum AVERAGE rating, meaning he is good to go to a family with kids and even other pups who are calm like himself. He walks beautifully on leash because, after all, life is not a race – you have to take time to smell the flowers! He sits so patiently and nicely for treats and has a smile that could light up the cloudiest of days. But Sir Troy knows that this is it. He has been on the list before and despite all his charm, and kindness and his hope that someone would pick him, no one did. So he will die on Monday, 8/7, and this is his last chance at finding a home so he can live. SIR TROY could be your knight in shining armor, and you could be his champion for the rest of his life. Watch his videos, fall in love, and then step up ASAP to foster or adopt him. Hurry, all he has is now. All he has is you. PM our page for assistance.

A volunteer writes: Presenting Sir Troy…a middle-aged guy that knows how to light up a room like no other!! He was found in a crate on the streets of Brooklyn and has been charming everyone that crosses his path ever since! He is in need of some dermatological TLC, but his tail is such a wiggly blur and his eyes are so soulful that you’ll hardly even notice. He sees a friend in every new face, welcomes help scratching his itches, and shows his thanks with kisses and paws-in-the-lap. He is super treat motivated, usually takes them like a gentleman, and already knows “sit.” He’s been fine when we’ve passed other dogs on our walks, has been easy on leash, and seems housebroken. Most of all, he’s impossible not to love!! He would love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!
