This inspires me and im old #respect while you're sitting around complaining know thats there's people ( not Latino people, education has no color )but people grinding to better their lives .. Ive never met this young lady but this is Repost from @stephvaz321 using @RepostRegramApp - Getting this degree has been one of the toughest things I have done. When I first started college Daca was still fairly new and there was pretty much no scholarships or financial help that I could qualify for especially being in Oklahoma. I remember the day I got a call to let me know a scholarship was being taken back because they had realized I was a daca student, I cried to my mom because at that moment I realized I’d have to go through so many tribulations for being a Daca recipient and not being born here.
So I worked my butt off I saved up my money and I paid for as many classes as I could afford at a time and even though it took a little longer than I would’ve liked I was able to finish debt free! Working full time, going to school full time, and taking care of Fabian... I had to sacrifice so much especially these last two years. Sometimes I felt I really could not do it and wanted to give up, but I am so glad I didn’t. If you are a daca student please do not limit yourself or think you are less, you can achieve anything you set your mind to!
Special thanks firstly to God 🙏🏼, to marlon who kept me sane through it all, Fabian who was patient and my main motivation, and my family and friends who cheered me on and helped me along the way💕 & to the people who doubted me, you motivated me too😜💕 #firstgeneration #dreamer #monarch #classof2019 #gopokes what we all aspire to be #chingona
