It astounds and disgusts me that there is little to no awareness around this genocide, as well as so many others. The western world truly only learns white history and I really hope I live to see a day where the history of all cultures, ethnicities, races, and nationalities are taught, respected, and appreciated in all educational settings and all around the world in general. Without any awareness around this horrific genocide we are silencing the sufferings and wrong doing of so many that deserve and should of had their stories brought to light. Racism will continue to prevail across the globe if issues only affecting white people continue to receive awareness and recognition, while the history and still present day events harming people of colour are ignored and silenced. Progress starts with education!! - Sierra Armeniangenocide armenian neverforget Edit: the point of this post was not to place blame on Turkey - or to imply that Armenians are all saints. The khojaly genocide is a tragedy and deserves recognition and reconciliation as well but that does not devalue anything that happened in the Armenian genocide. Credit: @saltysirius
