Repost from @melisfit_ This is so on point! Follow her @melisfit_ ... THE TRUTH ABOUT YOGA 👉🏼 One of the biggest misconceptions about yoga is that you have to be flexible, strong, and in shape to be "good" at yoga. The real truth is that yoga practices come in many variations and levels. The only practice that truly matters is your own. I used to be spend hours comparing myself to other people on social media and was actually afraid to step foot into a yoga studio because I thought I wasn't good enough at yoga or educated enough. What I realized is that no matter what level your practice is, your practice matters, you're an amazing yogi and most importantly an amazing person. That doesn't change based on how long you can hold a handstand or if you are the most flexible person on the planet. I think too often on social media we only post our "peak" pose or our best moments. I want us to celebrate the journey and wherever you're at, be proud of. In the photo above both variations of dancer pose is yoga and one variation isn't better than the other. Know that whatever yoga you're practicing (and whatever it may look like) that is your YOGA and it's amazing!!! Tag someone below who loves yoga and spread the love!! 💘 Xo Melis!
