Being Alone, Amazon, and College: did you know? There's an app that pays people to go online. Nielsen, the organization that does TV ratings, now measures the popularity of websites and online videos. To do that, they'll pay you just to 1.) Join the Nielsen panel at InternetPanel.org 2.) Get the free app on your phone/computer, 3.) Use the internet the same way you do now. It's that simple! Panel members receive cash and Amazon gift cards just to use the internet. nielsen PHOTO: INTERNETPANEL.ORG DID YOU KNOW? collegehackable: cntnd: zarb: You guys, I looked into it and this is legitimate. According to Wikipedia, Nielsen has been a trusted name since the 1920s, first measuring what radio stations people listened to. In the 1950s, they got into television ratings and now they’re measuring the popularity of stuff online. I can’t believe they’re gonna start paying me to watch youtube videos… I’m truly living in 3019 It took me less than 5 minutes to sign up here GUYS… in 2019 we live in 3019 I usually scroll past these sorta posts, but I know a lot of broke college kids follow me and want someone to verify if this is real. After doing my homework, I learned that the Nielsen internet panel is undeniably real. (Source: TV Technology) If you’re worried about what data they collect, this is from Nielsen’s website: TL;DR they only want to know what websites you visit, how long you spend on those sites, etc. and they NEVER collect sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, login information, bank, or credit card information. Facebook already collects (and sells) your data. The difference is that Nielsen wants to pay you and they’re not sneaky about it. So yes, you can quite literally get paid to watch youtube videos. Pro-Tip: to make the most money, you guys should join the panel on your computer AND your phone because you can earn more for multiple devices. Besides regular rewards, Nielsen gives away $10,000 cash each month. You could receive a thousand dollars in one month from the sweepstakes alone. If you keep Nielsen on your computer, you’ll be automatically entered into their monthly sweepstakes, so the app is a must-have on laptop or desktop. Two people win $1000 each month and four hundred people win cash prizes. Another reason to add multiple devices is that annually they will pay you $50 per mobile device you connect, so it pays to put Nielsen on all your devices, even that old phone in a drawer somewhere if it’ll turn on. Tablets work too, as do iPods and E-Readers.

Blessed, Books, and Driving: Forbes 30Defining and driving the world THE 2019 of news and content 30 Under 30 2019: Meet The Millennials Changing The Face Of Media Betches Media Cofounders, Betches Media is botov al Since launching Betches in 2011 as a WordPress blog, CEO Aleen Kuperman, COO Samantha Fishbein and CCO Jordana Abraham have turned the women's lifestyle and entertainment site into a full-fledged multimedia company, expanding into podcasts, live events, newsletters and books. In 2017, Betches' revenue exceeded $5 million, Forbes estimates. So blessed. So moved. So grateful. BUT REALLY. We know it’s not typical for us to get personal in an instagram post but for anyone who’s ever wondered what goes into this account and the company behind it we’ll break our rule this one time. When we started Betches we had literally no idea what we were doing or what we wanted to get out of it. Being a female entrepreneur was not necessarily the “trendy” and exalted path that it is now, and lots of people, especially men told us along the way we couldn’t get to where we are bc we didn’t have this this or that, or do things the traditional way, or have the same vision as they did. Well, it’s true we didn’t have money, or mentors, or any business education between the three of us, and ya, we said fuck a lot. We hope that we can inspire any young woman out there who currently doubts herself and wonders if she’ll ever be able to do it (whatever it is) - the answer is yes, you can. We’re so thankful to our team and all the work you’ve put in to help us get here. Let’s fucking drink. @samifish @aleen @jordanaabraham

America, Ignorant, and Love: Do immigrant cages come with bootstra... @BravenakBlog Please stop saying things like, "This is not the America I know!" when you see Trump locking refugees in cages Yes it is. Trail of Tears Slavery Chinese Exclusion Acts Japanese Internment Segregation Welcome to the America that non-white people have known for centuries. Anyone who says “Make America Great Again” should be placed on a list for possibly being a racist. Because 90% of them are closet racist! Every person i have met who stands with trump comes off with this HUGE ignorant racist mentality. And YES, you can still be racist and uneducated if you are not White supporting Trump. - For all my Awake followers what we are seeing today is the Elites “divide and conquer” agenda being carried out in full suite. They knew by having a Black President followed up by a ARROGANT PRIVILEGED man there would be a huge conflict. This is why I say president’s are not elected they are selected. The entire system is created to oppress and manipulate you. - The sad thing is this what this country has been doing to all of the countries in the middle east. Dropping millions of bombs and invading countless countries we have tore apart more families then we can in fathom. AND this is exactly what is taking place in Israel every single day under the LARGEST military occupation ever. Israel and Trump and the Elites are all apart of the same agenda to distract, divide, misinform and to create hate for all the wrong reasons. - The only reason why this is happening now is because of the revolution taking place. We must continue sharing information and compassion for ALL. The elites know that they are being exposed and that the only way for them to exist is to push back harder. But no matter how much they push back our message of love, compassion, empathy and a more sustainable way of living will always remain. - We are anonymous We are legion We do not forget We do not forgive Expect us. standup911 bethechange fuckthesystem

Best Friend, Chicago, and God: justlookatthosesausages: invisiblespork: ohhowlucky: danteogodofsoup: killbenedictcumberbatch: standupcomedyblog: John Mulaney | The Salt Pepper Diner THE BEST JOKE IN EXISTENCE GOD I JUST TOLD SOMEONE ABOUT THIS STORY This is one of the best pieces of comedy that I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. I love this. I have been looking for this online for awhile. [Audio transcription: I wanted to tell you one story. Uh. This is the story of the best meal I’ve ever had in my life, okay. Happened when I was eleven years old in Chicago, IL where I grew up. I went to a place called the Salt Pepper Diner, uh, with my best friend John. We walk into the diner one day, and they had a jukebox there, okay? And the jukebox was three plays for a dollar. So we put in 7 dollars and selected 21 plays of of Tom Jones’s What’s New Pussycat. And then we ordered and waited.  Here’s the thing about when, uh, What’s New Pussycat plays over and over and over and over and over again. The second time it plays, your immediate thought is not ‘hey someone’s playing What’s New Pussycat again.’ It’s ‘hey, What’s New Pussycat is a lot longer than I first thought. The third time it plays you’re thinking maybe someone’s playing What’s New Pussycat again. The fourth time it plays you’re either thinking ‘whoa someone just played What’s New Pussycat FOUR TIMES or at least someone played it twice, and it’s a really long song.’ So the fifth time is the kicker, alright?  Now, John and I we’re watching the entire diner at this point, alright? Most people have gotten wind as to what’s going on. And we’re staring at this one guy and he’s sitting in like a booth with his stupid kids jumping around, and he’s like staring at his coffee cup like this, and he’s been onto us since the beginning. And he’s sitting there, and his hand is shaking, and he had this look on his face like, aw, like he had just gotten his thirty day chip from anger management. And he’s staring like this, and the fourth song fades out. It’s dead quiet. Then, I don’t know if you know this, but the song begins very quietly… BWAAAH BWAAAAAH WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT and he goes GOD DAMN IT and pounds on the table, silverware flies everywhere, and it was fantastic. But a word about my best friend John and what a genius he was because when we first walked into the diner, okay? When we first got there and I’m punching in the What’s New Pussycats alright? I’ve punched in like 7 at this point then John says to me ‘hey hey hey before you punch in another What’s New Pussycat let’s drop in one It’s Not Unusual.’ Oh yes. That is when the afternoon went from good to great. After seven What’s New Pussycats. In a row - It played seven times. Suddenly - Dum da dum, IT’S NOT UNUSUAL and the sigh of relief that swept through the diner. People were so happy. It was like the liberation of France. You know for years scientists have wondered can you make grown men and women weep tears of joy by playing Tom Jones’s It’s Not Unusual and the answer is yes you can. Provided that it is preceded by seven What’s New Pussycats. It’s true. Dead honest. And on the other hand. When we went back. Holy shit. It’s Not Unusual fade out. It’s dead quiet. BWAAAH BWAAAAH WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT people went insane. People went out of their minds. No one could handle it. No one could handle it. And they were surrounded by this seemingly indifferent staff that was just like ‘yup some crap as always.’  They unplugged the jukebox after eleven plays. And that was the best meal I ever had.] reblogging again coz this time it has audio transcription (bless you) and it’s still forever hilarious omg

This is why I start cursing like a sailor the minute someone brings up aaaallll the things we the people can do to stop climate change. Spoiler: it’s nothing. Oh, sure, you can recycle your trash, but that doesn’t mean much when it all ends up getting burned anyway because our economy doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity to deal with the sheer mass of trash, and no interest in doing so. Like, “sure, our company could switch to environmentally friendly packaging, but that’d mean we’d have to change things and it might cost us a whole cent more per article and that’s just not viable you know, so sorry.” Or, yes, you can absolutely bike to work instead of driving, but your CO2 emissions are nothing against what big companies blow into the atmosphere every second. Nothing. Or, yes, you can absolutely grow bee-friendly plants in your yard, but that won’t save them. By all means, be environmentally conscious! In fact, I strongly encourage you to be! But let’s be real here, our individual footprints on this planet aren’t what’s killing it. Big Industry is. Same with food/water waste!! It annoys me so much when commercials and gov’t campaigns emphasize individual waste when corporations are doing the OVERWHELMING majority of the wasting.

Drugs, Jail, and Memes: ethiopienne Pro-tip: white privilege doesn't mean white people have perfect lives. It means that white people do not have to deal with institutionalized, systemic racism in addition to their everyday problems. It means institutionalized, systemic racism does not cause white people's everyday problems. If your first reaction is to be angry and comment why this is wrong, take a deep breath, slowly read the post again and wait for the words to sink in. Think about what this is saying and try to deeply consider what this means, especially coming from someone who is not white. No one is saying white people have perfect lives, don't have problems, or even that there's no way they can be bullied-discrimanated against because of how they look. The difference is that racism isn't just a feeling or thought, it's INSTITUTIONALIZED and SYSTEMATIC, which means that you have laws (Jim Crow, housing discrimination, voter ID laws-voter discrimination, redlining), history, powerful figures, etc etc etc against you, not just individuals being rude to you. Yes you can be white and poor, you can be white and be bullied, you can be white and have problems. It's just that these problems are NOT reinforced by or due to a historic, systematic, institutional oppression based solely on your race-ethnicity. In the US for example, the country was built by white men with laws for white men. Over time, many of these laws have changed: ex. everyone has the legal right to vote now, slavery is illegal, Jim Crow laws no longer exist. Unfortunately, these laws don't just end; they evolve. All people can vote, yet voter ID laws disproportionately prevent people of color in poor communities from voting. Slavery is illegal, yet black men disproportionately fill jail cells and are exploited for their labor while privatized prisons profit off their incarceration (see: war on drugs, or "13th" on Netflix). I can list examples like those two all day, but the point is that people of color continue to face institutionalized, systematic racism that has legal & political backing and an entire history causing and justifying it. White people do not have to deal with that, hence the term "white privilege." And, again, no one is saying white people don't have problems. That's not what "white privilege" means.

If your first reaction is to be angry and comment why this is wrong, take a deep breath, slowly read the post again and wait for the words t...
