saints-row-2: heres a clip from the movie In A Valley of Violence where james ransone gives a speech that is so incredible me n my friend had to pause the movie because we were laughing too hard to keep watching it   parts of this scene that i think are worthy of note: the way that halfway through saying “i need you” karen gillen obviously realises she doesnt actually need her terrible fiance james ransone that much and it comes out sounding like a question that this film is set in like the 1800s but the way james ransone delivers his lines means that this entire exchange could be happening in the aisle over in a walmart  the complete uncertainty with which karen gillen says “yes” like shes rapidly rethinking her entire life 𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓵𝓾𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓶𝔂 𝓯𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 the face james ransone makes at the end where his entire mouth disappears the single eye twitch at the last second that is such an incredible cherry on top of an already completely insane cake : saints-row-2: heres a clip from the movie In A Valley of Violence where james ransone gives a speech that is so incredible me n my friend had to pause the movie because we were laughing too hard to keep watching it   parts of this scene that i think are worthy of note: the way that halfway through saying “i need you” karen gillen obviously realises she doesnt actually need her terrible fiance james ransone that much and it comes out sounding like a question that this film is set in like the 1800s but the way james ransone delivers his lines means that this entire exchange could be happening in the aisle over in a walmart  the complete uncertainty with which karen gillen says “yes” like shes rapidly rethinking her entire life 𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓵𝓾𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓶𝔂 𝓯𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 the face james ransone makes at the end where his entire mouth disappears the single eye twitch at the last second that is such an incredible cherry on top of an already completely insane cake

celestial-naiad: Hey guys. If you see this post by @staggot rolling around I’d advise that you pass on donating to them. It’s in poor judgment to donate to people who don’t provide proof of their struggles, but it’s also in poor taste to donate to someone who treats people like this simply for asking for said proof. There’s absolutely no reason to act like this, unless of course you’re a lying asshole who just wants money for free. How can you say we're asking for proof you were abused as a child if you didnt mention it? astral--nymph No. We're asking for proof of your bills. Male co-host: We have had a whole heap of feedback regarding Te Tai Tokerau MP Kelvin Davis’s proposal to institute a prison run on Māori values into New Zealand. He’s looking at potentially establishing this prison up north. It isn’t Labour policy just yet, it’s just an idea of Kelvin Davis’s. And this has been really really divisive on our Facebook page this morning. (sarcastically) Here I think we have the single greatest email, the single greatest message we have ever had on breakfast. (clears throat deliberately) “’Janice’ says: Good morning. I’m sick of hearing that Māori need different treatment. If they don’t want to live in our society, then maybe we should put them all on an island and leave them to it.” Male co-host: “Janice. That is LITERALLY what happened! That is the history of our country. Last I checked, Māori WERE on an island, they were left to it, and then Pākehā (Māori term for white New Zealanders) turned up and look how that worked out. But thank you very much for that brilliant insight. Goodness me. Unbelievable. Unbelievable, they actually-“ Female co-host: “Actually, you can’t even get angry, you just actually need to laugh and then screw it up and put it under the desk. christopherokamoto: obsolote-corgi: grannyweatherwax: susiephone: can straight people just, like… shut the fuck up? please? just for five minutes? please? please just shut up? this article is literally written by a gay man. who is openly married to his partner. and if you read it, it talks about how this movie is in fact too bland and unrelatable for today’s queer teens. “A milestone that feels overdue–the first mainstream teen comedy foregrounding a gay character–may have been outpaced by real life. Can a love story centered around a gay teen who is very carefully built to seem as straight as possible appeal to a generation that’s boldly reinventing gender and sexuality on its own terms?” like. there’s definitely the valid argument to be made that just normalizing depictions of gay romance and gay protagonists is very important, because representation is still not what it should be, by a long shot. but this article is about another issue altogether, and makes some points which are worth considering…  namely that this movie doesn’t go far enough in providing that representation to today’s teens, but seems aimed more at a previous generation. but so like. can we not just make blanket assumptions like this, as a community? can we not leap to conclusions without taking five seconds to educate ourselves? honestly.
