Jealous, Love, and Parents: What did you do as a child that you hid from your parents? X Frances Emerson Updated Nov 3, 2017 Is it okay if I tell a story about something my kids hid from me? My oldest son told me this story years afterwards. He said that he and his brothers would go out in the back yard and throw knives at each other to practice catching them, like they'd seen in video games. (T'd seen nicks in my knives, but had assumed, with annoyance, that they'd used them bushwhacking.) But there's a little more to this story. After high school, he went to Alaska to work in the fisheries for the summer. When he wasn't working, he'd go exploring in the woods. There was a couple who had broken up who also worked there. The girl had taken a shine to my son, and although my son did not reciprocate, her ex was insanely jealous. One day, my son was out trekking in the woods and sensed someone following him. He turned around, and there was the angry boyfriend, who immediatelyy threw a knife at him. Reacting instinctively, my son caught it. As a mother, hearing this story elicited two responses. First, I was absolutely stunned that my boys would engage in such a dangerous activity. Secondly, I sure would have liked to have seen that fellow's face warriormale: Never stop training! Life, Memes, and True: WE DON'T GROW WHENTHINGS ARE EASY WE GROW WHEN WE FACE CHALLENGES. Have you ever noticed how often the challenges we face also contains a blessing in disguise? If not, perhaps you haven’t been looking closely enough! Granted, life’s challenges usually seem like inconveniences when they interrupt our schedules, or get in the way of something we want to do. Isn’t that part of the reason we call them challenges? Everything changes when we learn to see life’s challenges in a whole new light. What if we could learn to see them as highly beneficial experiences, adventures in learning, or even as a blessing in disguise?🤔 - HERE are a few questions you can ask yourself when facing challenges: ✔️What can I learn from this? Too often we view a challenges to be annoying, when in fact it may hold a great opportunity to learn and grow! If we start by asking ourselves, “what can I learn from this experience?” it immediately puts a more positive spin on the situation. It allows us to discover something worth appreciating about our experience. It makes it possible to recognize true value that might have gone unnoticed, and to see opportunity and possibility instead of inconvenience and annoyance. ✔️How can this strengthen me? One major reason why a challenge might intimidate us is because we don’t feel capable of handling it. We may have a limited perception of our own abilities, so we automatically believe that the challenge is bigger than we are. If we learn to see each challenge as an opportunity to become stronger and more capable, everything changes. ✔️How can I use this to my advantage? More often than not, we tend to view a challenge as a disadvantage, but is that necessarily true? When something gets in our way, what do we do? Don’t we start searching for a different strategy to accomplish our goal? The challenge may prove to be a blessing if it helps us discover a better way to do something. Thanks to the challenge, we may be able to replace a flawed strategy with one that works much better. 👉Your attitude and perception are something that you create. They are not dictated by your circumstances. You always have a choice! 😉 - challenges success trouble millionairementor

Bless Up, Blessed, and Butt: Last year I went backpacking through the republic of Georgia in Eastern Europe. On a long hike into the mountains, this dog decided to join me. We hiked together for about seven miles before he wandered off. Here he is keeping guard as I set my camera up for a landscape shot. On this blessed day I ask God to ease your burden, whatever that burden might be. If you are struggling I ask God to make things easy for you. If you are depressed I ask God to light your way. If you are hungry I ask God to feed you and to move those around you to feed you - it is the responsibility of those living in comfort to give to those who are not. I hate asking for favors but do me one favor today. Identify a family member from whom time or distance or an argument of some type or hardship long ago has caused separation. Reach out to them and let them know you love them. Be the better person and cure severed familial bonds with love. Aight? You can do it. My lil homegirl, her mom is the most wretched human on earth 😂. Every day she say something new to annoy her daughter. A week ago she said "your butt is flat" out of nowhere (and her butt ain't een flat lol!) And that girl still take care of her mama day in and day out. It's not easy but it's not really a test if it's easy, ya get me! More life more happiness more faith - whatever you wanted to accomplish in 2017, you got one-third of the year left - MAKE IT COUNT ❤️ Bless up 🌙 (📷: Reddit u-lil-rap)

Not once did she say she was annoyed by sexual comments. Sounds like that wasn't the response at all. All y'all saying "well that's what happens when you don't conform." are the fucking problem. She spoke her mind just like they spoke theirs.
