Fail, News, and Shit: Do you believe President Trump is a racist? Yeah. Yeah. No question. How can you say that? shadesoforlando: now-exiting-fuckability: whyyoustabbedme: why in the world are we still asking this question in 2019? Trump: says and does racist things. People: call Trump racist. Journalists and politicians: Ok but like There’s no benefit in her going on live television and saying Trump is a racist without elaborating on the subject What he’s asking is a leading question and sure, taking his ‘how can you say that’ out of context works well to make him seem like he supports Trump but that’s not how it was said in the interview. How it was said was to get her to continue to talk about why Trump is a racist Don’t believe me? Skip ahead in this video to 0:15 seconds and listen to the entire thing in context. She then goes on to ELABORATE on how he uses dogwhistles and his reaction to Charlottesville (by calling Nazi’s fine people) so people who tune in to the interview can draw connections to what she’s saying as opposed to just reacting, like op did, to the exact words that are said. I think too many people on here fail to realize that news, real news, isn’t done by just saying shit. You have to be able to back it up and in order to do so, you need to be able to spell something out for people who don’t get it. And someone who already has been criticized by people for her views (including by people on here, bizarrely, because they keep things she’s said out of context) need to be able to get all the information out there.
Advice, Ass, and Bad: embyrr922 pyrrhiccomedy ifshehadwings ovaadosedonconfidenc Intuition is real. Vibes are real. Energy doesn't lie. Tune in This is actually called thin slicing. Your brain recognizes patterns from very small "slices" of information by comparing them to things you have experienced betore. This all happens very quickly ona subconscious level without our conscious mind being involved. So intuition is actually really fast pattern recognition, and it can be very accurate. So yeah, if you have a gut feeling that a person or situation is not good, get the hell out. Your brain knows what's up When I was young - because l've always been a big skeptical pain in the ass I thought that when people were talking about interpersonal "energy," they were on some Gay Ass Shit. Years later, after spending hundreds of hours reading studies about intuition and neuroscience and pattern recognition and the processing power of the subconscious mind, I realized that that kind of talk - "she has such good energy," "you need to read the energy of the room," "l just got some really bad energy off of that guy - is a convenient shorthand for the lightning-rast, weirdly-accurate, real-as-fuck subconscious processing of the probability of positive or negative social outcomes likely to result from hundreds or thousands of variables. That "energy" isn't a tangible thing floating around in the air. It's your brain updating you constantly with information about your situation. Listen to it. Especially if it's telling you to be nervous or scared. Your brain is very good at recognizing danger. Let the enormous processing power of your subconscious mind protect you. It's better at spotting patterns than you are "Bad energy" isn't some hippie shit. It's your brain setting off a claxon because it knows something's not right. Thin slicing is wonderfully helpful, but be aware that if it's doing its pattern recognition from bad sources, you need to actively override it. We're raised in a racist society, inundated with racist media, and bombarded with subtly (or unsubtly) racist advice. Thin slicing can save your life, but it's also the cause behind the unconscious elements of racism (and misogynylableism/antisemitism/islamophobia/etc.) that we all suffer from Trust your instincts, but if your instincts tell you something that seems prejudicial, double check their work Trust your gut. Unless your gut is a dumbass.

America, Nintendo, and Soon...: -1 1 Nintendo D irect 9.6.2018 3:00 p.m. PT 6:00 p.m. ET Nintendo.com/nintendo-direct weirdmageddon: weirdmageddon: it-started-to-rain: nintendo: Tune in 9/6 at 3pm PT for a new Nintendo Direct featuring around 35 minutes of information on upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch titles. https://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct nintendo has delayed the direct internationally due to the magnitude 6.7 earthquake that hit hokkaido today just following the category 5 typhoon jebi that knocked the letter N off their hq building in kyoto about 2 days ago even though the direct is pre-recorded, it wouldve been terribly disrespectful for nintendo to have hyped up video games while people are dying and struggling so it’s been pushed back to a date yet to be announced but soon. i’m glad nintendos international subsidiaries are following along in the postponement announcement even if their countries didnt experience any disaster that would warrant a delay. it’s very considerate for the consumers in japan who are dealing with much more pressing matters who wouldnt have been able to catch the direct with the rest of the world. ive already seen people in america getting mad about the delay on twitter? like………nintendo is being very respectful by making the livelihoods of people a priority over their 35 minute showcase of video games. and its not that hard to see why. im sad but im much, much more sad that such disasters had to happen in the first place and hurt so many civilians and they have my deepest condolences. living in the US, im not sure how to help but if anyone knows or has ideas just add them anyway just understand this is why theres no direct later today
