Therese Patricia Okoumou, 44, was arrested yesterday after climbing the base of the Statue of Liberty in protest of ICE and the separation of migrant families. Friends, Memes, and Police: - This video was shot by an observer who stood by while a St. Joseph (MO) officer was working to subdue a combative, resistant subject. Thankfully his backup was able to respond quickly to his aid. The physical and mental demands of law enforcement are taxing. It is imperative to stay trained on combative skills, physical fitness, and have a “never quit” mentality. Going into any incident you must always envision yourself succeeding. Always be prepared. - “If you seek to do battle with me this day, you will receive the best that I am capable of giving. “It may not be enough, but it will be everything that I have to give and it will be impressive for I have constantly prepared myself for this day. “I have trained, drilled and rehearsed my actions so that I might have the best chance of defeating you. “I have kept myself in peak physical condition, schooled myself in the martial skills and have become proficient in the applications of combat tactics. “You may defeat me, but I’m willing to die if necessary. I do not fear death for I have been close enough to it on enough occasions that it no longer concerns me. “But, I do fear the loss of my honor and would rather die fighting than to have it said that I was without courage. “So I will fight you, no matter how insurmountable it may seem, to the death if need be, in order that it may never be said of me that I was not a warrior.” “If you seek to do battle with me this day, you will receive the best that I am capable of giving. - Tag friends & Follow 🔊 👉🏽 @unclesamsmisguidedchildren UncleSamsMisguidedChildren BackTheBlue thinblueline policemuscle k9 BlueLivesMatter Police LEO Cop

Bailey Jay, College, and Drive By: 2 hours ago 545 Likes Brazilian rights activist Marielle Franco assassinated in drive- by shooting Rio city councillor Marielle Franco was killed in a targeted shooting on Wednesday night. She was an outspoken critic of police violence and deploying the army into poor neighbourhoods of Rio MarielleFranco Rest in power! 💔🙏🏾 . Via The Root: "Marielle Franco, 38, a black politician from Rio de Janeiro, died fighting for the rights of women and favela dwellers. As a councilwoman from the Maré favela, she denounced the police brutality that favela residents, most of them black, regularly experienced. . On Wednesday around 9:20 p.m., armed men gunned the councilwoman down in her car in the center of Rio de Janeiro with nine shots—four to the head. Her driver, Anderson Pedro Gomes, also died. She had just left an event that she organized about black women’s empowerment. . Her death touched so many people that supporters organized vigils and protests in more than 20 cities across Brazil. Most of these protests were against the genocide of black people in Brazil. For Afro-Brazilians, Franco proved that a black person from a favela could be educated, have dignity and also fight against the social injustice that they suffer from every day. For women, she proved that they could overcome sexism and machismo in Brazil. But her death is hitting Afro-Brazilian women, who suffer the most from Brazil’s violent, racist and sexist society, the hardest. . “She died because she was a combative black woman,” said Lua Nascimento, an Afro-Brazilian college classmate of Franco’s who attended a protest on her behalf in Salvador, Brazil. “She was executed because she was a black favela dweller who fought against the murder of black favela dwellers. The genocide of the black population continues in this country. ” . Thousands of people gathered in front of Rio de Janeiro’s council chambers to pay homage to Franco, who was buried Thursday night. To show their digital support for her, Brazilians are changing their Facebook profile photos to those of Franco and using the hashtag MariellePresente, which translates to “Marielle is here.” . Amnesty International, the longtime leader of a campaign against the genocide of black people in Brazil, demanded that her death be rigorously investigated. With those nine shots, Franco became one more statistic in this genocide. Just over 50 percent of Brazil’s population of 200 million is black ... [Continued in comments]

Sources close to Ross say the medical issue is heart-related. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The incident occurred early Thursday morning when Ross fell ill in his Miami area home. The call came in around 3:30 am when officials were told there was a man in distress, breathing heavy and unresponsive. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to TMZ, the caller said the man had a history of seizures and was “slobbing out of the mouth,” at the time of the call. However, upon arrival, officials say the man became combative once he regained consciousness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While one source says Ross missed an appearance due to his hospitalization, a family member has strongly denied the claims. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If Ross is in fact hospitalized though, this would not be his first hospitalization. Back in 2011, the Boss was sent to the hospital after 2 seizures. However, the health scare sparked a change of lifestyle, which led to Ross’ huge weight loss.

All Lives Matter, Children, and Friends: SOME COMBAT VETERANS ARE TEACHERS VETERANS COME FIRST LIKEe RESPECT From @veterans_come_first Jeff Shelton, who spent over 20 years serving in the armed forces, retiring as a Major from the U.S. Air Force, is preparing to start his second year teaching at Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg. Shelton is among more than 3,000 veterans in Texas and more than 20,000 nationwide who traded bulletproof vests for textbooks to become teachers supported by the Troops to Teachers program. Every time he parachuted into enemy territory, every time he held a dying friend in the back of a helicopter, every time he watched a child collapse from grave injuries, peace for Shelton seemed to slip farther and farther away. He found his inner anguish only intensified when he retired from the military in December 2016 and finally had time to process all the wickedness he had seen in the world. It was almost too much for the 42-year-old to process, until he walked into his Junior ROTC classroom inside Lamar Consolidated High School later that month. "I didn't take the time to deal with my past. I had a lot of friends commit suicide or die — some of them died with me in the back of a helicopter. I just never dealt with it," Shelton said. "So here, I found a lot of peace in helping (the students) transition into adulthood." The employment of American veterans in schools is, undoubtedly, good news, as the school authorities and the teaching staff of schools consist mainly of left-wing liberals and therefore inspires children with purely left-liberal views. That is why such a large percentage of young people are very liberal. That veterans will be able to teach children the right attitude towards their country, their traditions, their past and their own state. police cop cops thinblueline lawenforcement policelivesmatter supportourtroops BlueLivesMatter AllLivesMatter brotherinblue bluefamily tbl thinbluelinefamily sheriff policeofficer backtheblue

Gifford of Palm Bay, Fla., died at age 34 on July 29, 2012 in Badghis province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations. During the morning patrol, he saw three of the Afghan special operations commandos he was advising hit by enemy small arms fire. Immediately, he got behind the wheel of an all-terrain vehicle, roaring across 800 meters of ground unprotected to come to the aid of the wounded commandos. With the help of another Marine, he performed first aid on the Afghan soldiers and moved them to a landing zone so a helicopter could extract them for medical care. Then, he crossed back over the same open terrain to help the other Afghan commandos in the unit, who were now under enemy fire. During the attack he led, he took out an insurgent who was firing from a window and climbed a building housing enemy fighters, dropping a grenade down the enemy chimney. He kept pressing the attack until he fell mortally wounded by enemy machine gun fire, according to his medal citation. Gunnery Sgt. Batman, Blockbuster, and Children: BATMAN RETURNS TURNS 25 YEARS OLD OHISTORYOFTHEBATMAN Good afternoon Gothamites and have a fantastic Friday! On this day (June 16) in Batman history, two live action Batman films had its world premiered and debuted in theaters in the U.S.! The first is the 1992 film "Batman Returns" which premiered 25 years ago at the @chinesetheatres in Hollywood (it hit U.S. theaters June 19)! The commercial success of Tim Burton's 1989 film 'Batman' spawned a sequel live action movie in 1992. Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne - Batman reprises his role in "Batman Returns", going up against the corrupt business tycoon Max Shreck (Christopher Walken) who joins Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin (Danny DeVito) in order to take over Gotham City and defeat the Batman. But when Shreck's ex-assistant Selina Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer) transforms into the seductive Catwoman, Batman has to also combat his romantic feelings for the femme fatale. Known for its dramatics from the set design to the costumes, "Batman Returns" was darker than its predecessor, the gothic tone courtesy of Batman co-creator Bob Kane as creative consultant, calling back to his character's origin from 1939. Tim Burton's 1992 sequel film "Batman Returns" was a blockbuster success. However, due to the dark tones of the film, it was not accepted by parents of young children and some sponsorship was turned down in terms of toys and merchandising. Warner Bros. then turned to producer and director Joel Schumacher to continue the Batman franchise with a lighter theme, his first Bat movie being our other anniversary we will celebrate today on History of the Batman, so stay tuned and thanks for following! ✌🏼💙🦇🎬🎉

Memes, Muslim, and Petty: This photo is of a Somali woman in 19IO @chakabars She is fine! In 1899, Sheikh Maxamed came into conflict with the recently established Christian mission and also was involved in a petty dispute with the administration. With the current European and Ethiopian encroachment and with the example of the Sudanese mahdi (in Islamic eschatology, a messianic deliverer), these two incidents provided the seeds that rapidly developed into a major Somali insurrection. Maxamed did not appropriate the title of mahdi but assumed the title of sayyid (a descendant of the Prophet), and his followers were known as the dervishes. He displayed great skill in employing all the traditional tactics of Somali clan politics in building up his following, strengthening these with the call to national Muslim solidarity against the infidel colonizers. Arms and ammunition, denied to Somali in the past, became easily available through the ports of Djibouti and the northeastern coast, and the dervishes, although opposed by many Somali, who were branded as traitors to Islam, successfully weathered four major British, Italian, and Ethiopian campaigns between 1900 and 1904. The cumbersome British armies, hampered by their supply and water requirements, found the dervish guerrilla tactics hard to combat effectively, and, when in 1910 the British government decided to abandon its inconclusive, extremely expensive operations and withdrew to the coast, leaving chaos in the interior, Sayyid Maxamed seemed to have emerged victorious. A new policy was subsequently adopted, however, and, with the aid of an increasingly effective camel constabulary (whose founder, Richard Corfield, was killed at the Battle of Dulmadoobe in 1913), the dervishes were kept at bay until 1920, when a combined air, sea, and land operation finally routed them. The formidable dervish stronghold at Taleex, or Taleh, was bombed, but the sayyid escaped, as so often before, only to die of influenza a few months later while desperately seeking to rally his scattered followers. chakabars ❤🇸🇴 pic by @vintage_somalia
