In Northern Ireland where I live?? We’re taught about the famine and how many Irish people died and why and how many went to America etc but we are NOT taught that a) the English REFUSED to give aid and in fact TOOK MORE FOOD and that b) Native Americans sent money AND grain!! To a country they weren’t even close to! That they’d barely even heard of!! Why aren’t we taught this?
