Let’s Talk: Why Is Light Skin vs. Dark Skin Still A Topic Among Blacks -blogged by @peachkyss ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are so many topics that should just fade away and one particular topic stands out amongst many, light skin vs. dark skin. Why is this still be discussed? Why are we demeaning each other because of the shade of our skin? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For so long, dark- skinned people were criticized because their skin tone was not light enough. Growing up, that sh!t bothered me because I was not accepted by my peers because I didn’t fit into “their” perfect world. Wtf is perfect about someone’s skin tone? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I would hear people talk about how light skin was in and dark skin wasn’t. Like what? What do you mean light skin is in? Are we both not beautiful? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I hated hearing, “You’re pretty for a dark-skinned girl.” Why do people feel the need to say that? Basically you are saying that dark-skinned women or men are ugly. Which is far from the truth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some people act like having dark skin is bad thing. Well guess what? It’s not. Being a dark-skinned woman-man is not only beautiful but truly amazing. In the words of Pac, “The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice.” This line in “Keep ya head up” meant so much because when others are putting you down, you have to learn to ignore the bullsh!t and show the world why you are the sh!t. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We should not be putting blacks against each other. We should be uplifting one another and encouraging each other towards greatness. There is enough racism as it is with not being accepted by whites. Founder of Hustler Magazine Offers $10 Million For Information to Help Impeach Donald Trump, Says "Trump Has Proven That He's Dangerously Unfit" - blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hustler Magazine founder LarryFlynt is willing to spend a pretty penny on the impeachment of Donald Trump. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday, Fox Business anchor Liz Claman, tweeted a photo of an ad that offered $10 million for information leading to the impeachment and removal from office of Donald Trump. Although, the headline named Larry Flynt and Hustler Magazine as the financiers, it wasn’t confirmed until Flynt retweeted the photo on his own account. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the ad, Flynt said that “after nine tumultuous month in office, Trump has proven that he’s dangerously unfit to exercise the extreme power accrued by our new ‘unitary executive,” adding that the presidency is “illegitimate.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He then goes on to detail the long list of Trump's questionable acts from the firing of James Comey to his failure to denounce white supremacist, and his “hundreds of bald-faced lies.” In the ad, he also says Trump’s “worrisome” ability to “trigger a nuclear world war” is one of the more “horrifying” reasons that he needs to get the boot. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Impeachment would be a messy, contentious affair, but the alternative –three more years of destabilizing dysfunction – is worse,” he wrote. “Both good Democrats and good Republicans who put country over party did it before with Watergate.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, he says he still needs “unimpeachable evidence,” adding that “we need to flush everything out into the open,” to get Trump out of office. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, this is not the first time Flynt has offered up his own money to bring things to the light. In October of 2016, he offered $1 million for evidence of Trump “engaging in illegal activity or acting in a sexually demeaning or derogatory manner.” Back in 1998, he offered $1 million and again in 2007 for “documented evidence of illicit sexual liaisons with a prominent member of public office,” against BillClinton.: Founder of Hustler Magazine Offers $10 Million For Information to Help Impeach Donald Trump, Says "Trump Has Proven That He's Dangerously Unfit" 9 @balleralert LARRY FLYNT AND HUSTLER MAGAZINE ANNOUNCE A CASH OFFER OF UP TO 5 $10 MILLION FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE IMPEACHMENT AND REMOVAL FROM OFFICE OF DONALD J. He just has a different opinion. Respect it. Who is the Racist one now ? . I don’t know much about this, but I assume Lil Wayne brought attention to the rampant homicide and crime rates in black neighborhoods of black people by black people to combat the “police are the most dangerous things to our children” talk and now people are calling him white and a “coon” like they do with us. As usual, they erase a person’s identity for the sake of an opinion. Stay classy, BLM. Lil Wayne basically said he had never personally experienced racism.  But when he shot himself in the chest with his mom’s gun there was a white cop who drove him to the hospital because he knew they couldn’t wait on the ambulance. That the fact most of his fans are white is evidence that whites aren’t innately racist.  Naturally, black lives matter pounced on the dissenter. Here’s the video if anyone is interested “I don’t know what racism is.” The second video is him refusing to back off the comments. Is he pandering to his white fan base?  Maybe a little.  But do I believe him?  Yeah, I do. I feel like he’s genuine when he talks about this and it’s important to note that people dismissing his opinion because he might be “high”. Regardless if he’s high, or not, he has an opinion just as everyone else. It felt like they were trying to dig to just get something out of him that clearly wasn’t there. Trying to formulate the questions differently and nudging him to agree on this and that, broadening the questions to “So you never experienced.. any offensive behavior from any other color.. or..?”. Why is the white guy trying to get the black guy to agree that he did experience racism when he says he didn’t? How is it not racist or demeaning that the white guy is trying to ‘educate’ the black guy on what he’s experiencing? It’s clear they sat him down with the goal of having Wayne push the narrative and they were upset they didn’t really get what they wanted. that first video is important, particularly for how Shannon Sharpe responds to Wayne. You can tell Sharpe disagrees with wayne’s assertion that there is no racism, but he truly respects wayne’s opinion because, as wayne says, he personally has not experienced anything he can discern as racism, so thus he can not comment on it. Considering that Wayne is from the 17th ward of New Orleans, and his experience is shaped by that. Sharpe commends him for being straight forward and not embellishing and making up something to add to the narrative, and wayne’s honesty on the subject should similarly be respected. Not everyone may feel they experienced racism if they are from a minority background, and if they feel they can’t speak on the issue because of it, then so be it.Similarly, we shouldn’t take Wayne’s opinion that there is no racism and apply that to the lived experience of all minorities simply because he was saved by a white cop and performed infront of a white crowd, because his experience does not speak for others.: Podcast Brothers @PODCASTBROTHERS ' Follow They said this is lil Wavne after his #blacklivesmatter rant AAAA diarrheaworldstarhiphop: libfas: politicaltea: nonviolentanarchistphilosophy: politicaltea: cheshireinthemiddle: twosideman: art-angelsz: bellygangstaboo: I think he was on some heavy drugs during that interview He wasn’t. pinupgirlnextdoor: I absolutely hate to see this picture on my dashboard. -Belle is crying because she just gave up her whole life to save her father. She now has to spend the rest of her days as a prisoner isolated with only talking teapots and a monster as company. She did one of the bravest possible things she could have done. He’s hardly a prince, but she changes his heart and sees past his exterior. -Ariel is crying because she wants to be on the surface, she feels trapped, and her father just yelled at her in rage about her interests. He destroyed all her ‘treasures’ and now she is left feeling more alone and trapped than before. She didn’t ‘wait’ for her Prince. She sought out Ursula and gave up what was dearest to her just to meet him. She left everything behind for what she wanted, loved, and dreamed of. -Jasmine is crying because in three days she has to married, and she doesn’t love a single man who came for her hand in marriage. She ran away from her comfortable sheltered life in the palace to live on the street, and falls for a homeless man. How is that waiting for a prince? - I don’t actually remember Aurora crying, but through the course of the movie she learns that her whole life (with the three faries) is a lie, she’s not actually Briar Rose as she thinks, that she’s betrothed, and then theres the whole deal with the witch wanting to kill her. I think thats reason enough to cry. Finally, she didn’t even wait for her Prince. She was essentially  in a coma. -Cinderella was basically a slave, her family kept her locked in the attic, they were cruel to her, her only friends we mice. Even her name was demeaning, like the cinder girl. Finally she has a beautiful dress to go to a ball, and her step sisters tear that apart too. She’s got nothing. Isn’t that reason enough to cry? -First of all this is contradictory since Mulan is crying in this picture, and THEN she’s also the ‘fighting’ one. She’s crying because her elderly father is being sent off to war, and will most likely die. She goes in his place, defying everyone and everything from her culture, to save his life. (OH AND SHE DOESN’T MARRY A PRINCE) I will defend princesses until the end, it may seem silly, but this is silly too. Why is it bad to cry? Why does that make you weak? It doesn’t. : don't wait & cry for your "prince charming." fight for him pinupgirlnextdoor: I absolutely hate to see this picture on my dashboard. -Belle is crying because she just gave up her whole life to save her father.
