politicalsci: Bernie Sanders has won the popular vote in the first three primaries. Bernie Sanders has been polled as the only nominee who would beat Trump. Bernie Sanders has been polled as having the highest support among non-white voters. Bernie Sanders has been polled as having a 12 point national lead over all other nominees running. Bernie Sanders has been polled as having the most support among Independents and Democrats. Every candidate, except Bernie Sanders, has said they will allow unelected superdelegates to choose the nominee even if someone else goes into the convention with the most delegates. They each think a brokered convention could work in their favor. In reality it would likely mean Biden or Bloomberg will become the Democratic nominee and result in the complete ruination of the Democratic Party (and Donald Trump being re-elected). In order for there NOT to be a brokered convention, Bernie Sanders needs to reach 1991 delegates to win the Democratic nomination. Please vote for Bernie! c-bassmeow: This to me is disqualifying. Joe Biden has lied dozens of times about his record on civil rights and he even pretended he was a civil rights activists when he wasn’t. Reblog to show what a liar Biden is and how he uses the black community as a prop to get votes despite his incredibly problematic past.  Here is the article.  Here is a video showing Biden plagiarizing everything from speeches to schoolwork in college.  It’s disgusting that this isn’t being talked about more especially on corporate media outlets like CNN and MSNBC. This should, by now, be common knowledge yet the democratic party gatekeepers will do everything to protect Biden and other right wing democrats. It is up to us (social media) and the independent media outlets to expose both the rot within the democratic party and the FACT that Biden is a LIAR. This is disgusting and it’s disgusting that outlets aren’t picking this up as if lying about your record doesn’t matter. : c-bassmeow: This to me is disqualifying. I’m an election worker! If you ever have an issue like this please tell the people who are working at the polls! I don’t know about other states, as ours got new machines two years ago and we have some of the newest polling machines in the country, but I’m sure that your local polling place will do something about a machine like this. If you don’t trust the machines to allow you to vote for who you want, you ALWAYS have the right to ask for a paper ballot. If they refuse, get that shit on video and blast them on social media. Election offices HATE having people complain about them on social media. Be sure to specifically get them denying you a paper ballot. PAPER BALLOTS ARE NOT INVALID BALLOTS AND WILL BE COUNTED. Know your rights, be nice to election workers, be sure to register to vote, and actually get out there and vote! (Also, if you are willing and able, you should sign up to be an election worker. In the US there is a serious problem with most election workers being Republicans. Most election offices try to have a balance between Democrats, Republicans and Independent, but that’s kind of hard when Republicans are the only ones who sign up. It pays pretty well, and its wayyyy less difficult than most retail jobs. npr: More than 80% of parents in the U.S. support the teaching of climate change. And that support crosses political divides, according to the results of an exclusive new NPR/Ipsos poll: Whether they have children or not, two-thirds of Republicans and 9 in 10 Democrats agree that the subject needs to be taught in school. A separate poll of teachers found that they are even more supportive, in theory — 86% agree that climate change should be taught. These polls are among the first to gauge public and teacher opinion on how climate change should be taught to the generation that in the coming years will face its intensifying consequences: children. And yet, as millions of students around the globe participate in Earth Day events on Monday, our poll also found a disconnect. Although most states have classroom standards that at least mention human-caused climate change, most teachers aren’t actually talking about climate change in their classrooms. And fewer than half of parents have discussed the issue with their children.
