Apparently, Bad, and Children: the "police officers risk their lives to protect us" starter pack Savannah Danielle lol who knew there was something wrong with actually having a car, a nice house and a clean put together family who lives in a safe community while spending your hard earned money on paying your bills rather then expensive sneakers and supporting the authorities of the neighborhood you take pride in Like Reply 11 minutes ago living-for-fiction: unbossed: theflowerfish: saaavx0h: jaime-foxxx: OKAY BUT SOME OFFICERS ACTUALLY DO RISK THEIR FUCKING LIVES. It’s cute how tumblr users are liike “ahhh not all _____ people” but when it’s cops, they’re all awful apparently. Good god.  yes they do and it’s a shame some people don’t recognize or appreciate that! Cops who don’t check and report explicitly bad cops are not good cops. The culture of the blue wall of silence logically makes it so that cops are inherently bad, not good. The good cops who do report their constituents get labeled as rats and get harassed by other cops for snitching or even lose their jobs. The police are nothing more than a glorified gang. Come live in the communities that the police continuously harass, brutalize, and murder then let me know how you feel. Come hang in Philly for a minute, get a taste of how it feels to have the cops hold a magnifying glass over you. Ask my friend who got shot while delivering pizza in Southwest Philly by plainclothes officers who never identified themselves how it felt to have a bullet removed from his face. Or head to Camden where the cops don’t even respond to calls in these communities, and if they do they just show up to beat and arrest the people there. Go to Washington Heights in NYC where they stop and frisk mostly black and Latino men, even though almost 90% of those searches end up with nothing (stats available on NYPD website). Imagine a world where you get stopped and harassed by the police because of where you live or how you look, regardless of whether you’re innocent or not. Then tell me how much you just loooooove the police. Y'all don’t see shit over that white picket fence of yours, do you? The “good cop” going by the book will use violence to evict a homeless family from their car if they’re parked illegally. The “good cop” going by the book will use violence to arrest them, tearing the children from their parents, if they try to sleep in a foreclosed home left empty by the bank as a tax write-off. The “good cop” going by the book will use violence to keep that family from eating food that grocery stores and restaurants throw away in their locked dumpsters. The “good cop” going by the book will use violence to enforce even the most unjust law. And badge lickers will always try to justify the injustice. For the people who missed the point, this post doesn’t say that cops never risk their lives - it’s inviting you to take a good long look at the characteristics of the people they DO protect and risk their lives for, and note that there is a huge disparity in how cops treat people based on race, socioeconomic status, etc. Also I love it when people use “coppin’ is DANGEROUS” to handwave the numerous civil rights violations cops are routinely guilty of in the process of “just following orders”. Plenty of jobs are dangerous. Plenty of jobs are more dangerous than being a cop. But cops seem to be the main ones stomping around demanding endless respect and unquestioning obedience just because their “job is dangerous”.

My blood pressure medication (Candesartan) costs between $40-$125 USD for 30 tablets in the US.Here in Germany, 98 tablets costs me 5 Euro. The worst part is, the people pocketing the most of this money are powerful enough to keep it this way, and in the event that legislation of some kind actually brought prices down, they could cry to the government that their profits were taken from them and lobby to “make up” their losses in some way that you can guarantee will still hurt the lower classes. Most likely, they would end up getting billions in corporate welfare, and when it came time to make any budget cuts, they’d be able to use the same influence to keep their handouts while welfare and food stamps for poorer, hungrier people end up on the chopping block first.

Holden also works as a human rights activist with a group called Operation Underground Railroad. It’s an organization run by an ex-CIA agent named Tim Ballard that works to take down unsavory human traffickers and the like. So, Holden and the group went down to Colombia to try to take down a group of men who were trafficking in underage prostitutes. Ballard, Holden and co. ingratiated themselves into this group and set up an elaborate party in an effort to catch these men in the act….” Adam Pliskin, Elite Daily  “For months, the group put together a massive sting operation in cooperation with Colombian authorities. They each had an elaborate cover story. Ballard’s story was that he was the best man in a wedding back in the U.S. and was looking to hire several underage prostitutes for a big bachelor party in Cartagena. The cover was meant to lure the sex traffickers into a setup so that Ballard and his team could rescue the girls, many of whom were under 18. … In order for Colombian officials to prosecute the sex traffickers, they have to catch them exchanging money for the girls on tape. … Holden’s job was to “keep [the traffickers] occupied by the pool area while Ballard and the undercover officers worked to catch the traffickers on tape exchanging money.” Candace Smith and Aristides Pinedo-Burns, ABC News  “When the traffickers agree on camera to to pimp out the underage girls and the money is exchanged, the cops move in to make the arrests.  During the ordeal Holden works with social workers to comfort the girls, who fear they’re the ones who will be in trouble and that they won’t be paid. This is considered the most detailed piece of proof regarding Russia’s interference with the elections to date.  Here’s how the NSA document described how the Russians did the hacking:  “As described by the classified NSA report, the Russian plan was simple: pose as an e-voting vendor and trick local government employees into opening Microsoft Word documents invisibly tainted with potent malware that could give hackers full control over the infected computers. But in order to dupe the local officials, the hackers needed access to an election software vendor’s internal systems to put together a convincing disguise. So on August 24, 2016, the Russian hackers sent spoofed emails purporting to be from Google to employees of an unnamed U.S. election software company, according to the NSA report. Although the document does not directly identify the company in question, it contains references to a product made by VR Systems, a Florida-based vendor of electronic voting services and equipment whose products are used in eight states. The spear-phishing email contained a link directing the employees to a malicious, faux-Google website that would request their login credentials and then hand them over to the hackers. The NSA identified seven “potential victims” at the company. While malicious emails targeting three of the potential victims were rejected by an email server, at least one of the employee accounts was likely compromised, the agency concluded. The NSA notes in its report that it is “unknown whether the aforementioned spear-phishing deployment successfully compromised all the intended victims, and what potential data from the victim could have been exfiltrated.” So instead of having Trump and his entire party removed, they gon throw home girl in jail and try to act like none of this happened. America, Apparently, and Donald Trump: TUESDAY, DEC 19, 2017, 4:30 PM Dollar General: The Store for Rural America's "Permanent Recession" BY PETER FUNT Share У Tweet Reddit Ju StumbleUpon @ Email Print OLLAR GENERAL DOLLAR GENERAL The Dollar General Corporation, an American chain of variety stores, is headquartered in Goodlettsville, Tenn. (Image: bogleech: berniesrevolution: IN THESE TIMES There are 14,321 Dollar General stores in America. It’s a chain that many shoppers have never heard of, yet it has more stores than Starbucks. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Dollar General company is worth $22 billion—far more than the nation’s largest grocery chain, Kroger, which has five times the revenue. Sadly, however, Dollar General is thriving because, as the Journal puts it, “rural America is struggling.” The chain builds stores where folks are down on their luck, where 20 percent of customers receive government assistance, and where even Walmart won’t bother doing business. I phoned several Dollar General stores and learned that none sells fresh meat or produce; the grocery aisles feature mostly canned and frozen goods. Many products, such as soft drinks, come in mini-sizes to keep unit prices low. And few locations had newspapers for sale. Maybe that’s just as well, because headlines these days report that the stock market is remarkably high and unemployment is surprisingly low. But for rural America, news like that doesn’t hit home. Things are looking up in Donald Trump’s America, except, of course, where they are not. The administration’s proudest accomplishment is a tax bill that benefits millionaires and billionaires. The Joint Committee on Taxation finds that the Senate version of the bill would increase taxes on all Americans making less than $75,000 a year. As Paul Krugman summarizes in the New York Times: “Everything this president and this Congress are doing on economic policy seems designed, not just to widen the gap between the wealthy and everyone else, but to lock in plutocrats’ advantages, making it easier to ensure that their heirs remain on top and the rest stay down.” In rural America, where about 46 million people reside, employment and economic growth have not recovered from the last recession at a pace seen elsewhere in the nation. Childhood poverty—perhaps the most critical metric in determining a population’s well-being—is considerably higher in rural areas than in urban centers. The crisis facing rural America is rooted in the fact that peak-level employment related to natural resources, such as mining and logging, is never coming back. Rural America is mired in a permanent recession. Its problems are difficult to correct because of a sprawling landscape, scattered government support structures and what often seems to be federal indifference. Many among the predominantly white rural population voted for Trump in 2016—a sign, perhaps, of utter desperation rather than considered opinion. But according to recent reporting by Politico, Trump now intends to make the most sweeping changes to federal safety net programs in a generation, using legislation and executive actions to target recipients of food stamps, Medicaid and housing benefits. (Continue Reading) When tens of millions of people–both rural and suburban–are forced to use Dollar Tree and Dollar General as grocery stores because Wal-Mart is too expensive, it’s safe to say the middle class is truly dead. I was in shock moving out here to the pacific northwest and never seeing Dollar General anymore. Apparently there might be at least a couple here in Oregon, hours from us. Everywhere I previously lived from the east coast to the midwest, you were never more than 10 minutes from a dollar general as well as dollar tree. At Dollar Tree everything is $1, but that obviously puts some limitations on the quality and variety of goods. At Dollar General things can be up to $20, but we’re talking $20 for a whole office desk you put together. $5 for a pair of shoes. $3 for a nicer microwaveable meal than the stuff you’ll find at Dollar Tree. It was literally almost THE ONLY store within a 40 minute drive in the small Iowa town we were last living, too, exactly the situation this article talks about. That town had one other source of groceries, which was very small, and its prices jacked up because it knew a lot of people had no other choice.

Apparently, Chelsea, and Definitely: Google peraltiagoisland: b99: really great interview with dan goor about b99 and he actually gets the call about season five during this and it’s amazing some highlights in this: - dan already knows how season 5’s Halloween episode was supposed to end, he claims it’s the best, better than all the previous halloween episodes including the first one which is killing me - andy and joe are constantly coming up with complicated handshakes and funny high fives that are just hilarious but he’s had to cut out so many of them, mostly because the handshakes lasted too long (there was one that lasted thirty five seconds rip) - initially, the b99 writers had plans in season three to just constantly have jake and amy break up and get back together again as a running joke. this was because in their initial plan for 3x01, the plan was to break them up and get them back together four times- thus establishing that their relationship had that dynamic which would allow for them to be constantly breaking up and getting back together - the reason why they scrapped that plan that they had gone so far as to write on cards and storyboard was that it just didn’t feel right- it didn’t feel true to the characters, and it felt too forced - amy becoming and sergeant and rising through the ranks could definitely potentially affect her relationship with Jake though, as well as her relationship with Terry “IM THE GOD OF THE SHOW!” - moo moo is 💯💯💯💯💯💯 - andy constantly floors dan with funny stuff he comes up with (apparently, there’s some slow motion stuff involving a band) - not something dan said, but i seriously wonder which band wink wink - chelsea peretti is one of the best comedians out there, and they actually put together the idea of gina wearing a medical halo before they decided that oh cool, we could hit her with a bus to achieve that - dan thinks the cast of b99 should all win emmys like, a weird joint win where they all tied for the Emmy because they’re all just that good - if you’re a mix between jake and Charles: best case scenario, you’re the most confident and nice person ever. worst case scenario, you’re constantly shampooing your girlfriends’s hair as you watch Die Hard
