I don't mean to bring up the vitamin c discussion again, but the only thing that I found as a reason for bleeding gums is "vitamin c deficiency".. Nice Frathouse: snarling-through-our-smiles I once lost my keys at a frat house. My drunk ass had actually walked home without them, pounded on my apartment door, gotten let in by my rightfully- disgruntled roommate, and proceeded to pass out on the couch. Apparently I puked in the toilet before passing out do not remember The next morning, I schlepped back to the frat house. I stood there, right in front of the front door. This was a novel experience for me. I'd never been at a frat house in broad daylight before. A boy, presumably, of the house, asked me what I was doing. "I lost my keys in here last night, I called back. "I was seeing if I could go in and look for them?" He opened the door and gestured for me o come in. "Go wherever you want." I'd never seen a frat house post-party Derore. Wandering up the stairs a by hungover and still-drunk frat boys sandals and gym shorts, seeking out food and showers like moths to a porch light. A few of them threw puzzled glances my way. I'm sure they thought I was some post-bacchanalia hallucination. I entered one room where a boy was drunkenly watching some Old Yeller- esque movie on a tiny TV in the corner of his room from his bed. "Do you like dog movies?" he asked, voice from the fact that his face was squished against his pillow and half-buried by his blanket. I told him I did. e mumbled again, pleased, and asked what I was doing. I told him I was looking my keys. "Sorry, I haven't seen any keys around bere I didn't doubt him. Twenty minutes had passed. I'd searched just about every bedroom and nuclear- at dumn-site of a bathroom in that house. I'd given up on ever finding my keys and was prepared to beg my roommates' forgiveness and get a new set copied. As I stood there in the hallway, silently a particularly burly frat boy approached me. "You need help with something? "I lost my keys here last night and I can't find them, I've looked everywhere. "What do they look like? I'll put it into the group chat. He was already pulling out his phone. No one ever checks a group chat, I thought, but what the hell. It was worth a shot. "Um, it's just a ring of keys. The keychain is a pink plastic cat, though, like yea big. Like bright pink, you can't miss He nodded, presumably typing this description faithfully into the group chat. "Alright, I sent the message out. Good luck. e turned and left. And with that, A few moments later, I heard a distant and it was getting louder and louder, One assumes that how I felt in that moment was how Simba felt seeing the wildebeest stampede through the ravine as a horde large young men all thundered down the stairs, making a beeling for me. "Someone tell the girl!" One of them shouted, faceless in the mob. "Girl! Hey, GIRL! We found your keys, girl!!! They circled around me. I hadn't felt that old, One of them split himself off from the crowd. "Are these -"he pulled out a ring of keys from his pocket, "your keys? And lo, there was the distinctive bright millennial pink cat keychain dangling off the ring. "Yes,"I whispered. "Oh my god, yes." "EYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYY!!" The cheer went up. Turns out he found them in the bathroom upstairs. I thanked them again profusely. There was a scattered round of "no problems" and then, just suddenly as they descended, they all dispersed, like ships in the night. gatorfisch THIS is boys will be boys Nice Frathouse

One of the highlights from this year was adopting my new brother @totally_tater , one of the most exciting things that has happened in our family in 2018! 💙 Special shout out to my other adopted brother @roothekangaroocat who you’ll see in the background with his paw on Tater’s paw. He and Tater have the same birth deformity called Radial Hypoplasia and became fast friends on day 1. The main characteristic of this condition is bent front legs from malformed radius bones (or in some cases missing). You’ll see videos on both their accounts that show they have no problems playing, running, and even climbing despite being “special needs”. My family thinks they’re perfect and we have all accepted Tater as one of us much sooner than HuMom thought would happen. What was one of your most memorable moments of 2018? A Cats Guide to Making Friends: Stray cat sneaks into zoo enclosure, finds another cat.. roachpatrol: rhube: BABIES!! so the best thing about this is that bobcats, like just about every feline besides lions and domestic cats, are pretty solitary. they don't really have friends, they aren't really equipped to make friends domestic cats, on the other hand, do know how to make friends. they are friendly to the point that lots of feral cats live in colonies-the females hang out together, even raise kids together, and the males like to spend nonsexual time with their baby mommas. they groom each other, play around, and have a particular tail position to signal to one another- straight up with the tip curled- that they're friendly and happy to see cach other. cats learned how to be chill with each other in order to take full advantage of human food sources: an ancient granary supplies enough rats for a lot of cats, as does a modern lady with a big bag of frisky bits, so it would be a waste of time energy for any one cat to try and stake the entire foodsource out for exclusive use. less fighting means more eating and resting which means a longer, nicer life and a lot more kittens. so this stray cat, she obviously has no colony if she's wandering around and sneaking into zoo enclosures, so she's like hey! there's food here! what up, other cat, let's be friends, let's be friends and share that food and the bobcat is like ??222because actually wild cats are pretty cautious about initiating hostilities and anything new and aggressive makes them very worried. and the domestic cat is like 'haha cool, ok, we're friends now, big guy. no problems and the bobcat is like?m well...? ok? and then they are friends. the super interesting thing about most wild cat species is they don't really have the capacity to make friends on their own, especially outside of sibling bonds, but, if someone comes along and does all the friend- making themselves, theyll totally roll with it. zoo cats can get really attached to their caregivers- or, in this case, a very confident little calico demonstrating exactly why her species has been so darn successful over the last so anyway that is the best thing: bobcats are not equipped to make friends, but luckily for this bobcat this homeless lady did not give any shits and made friends anyway and now they are both happy A Cats Guide to Making Friends

Reverse racism is not real. The sociological definition of racism is power+prejudice; thus you can be prejudiced against someone, but without systemic power, it's not "racism" (it is still bad and wrong obviously). We use the sociological definition of racism, since sociologists study society and things like racism and discrimination 🙂 same reason we use scientific definitions for scientific phenomena and not just default to a basic general dictionary definition. If you are white and this upsets you, please think about history and the evolution of society. No one is saying white people have easy lives with no problems or that things are handed to you...just that racism is a SYSTEMIC issue that has to do with who has and has previously had power. And that ending slavery doesn't automatically make everyone equal. It's pretty easy to see that racism is still hugely prevalent today (look at the recent events in Charlottesville, the way people talk about people who are Muslim, the rhetoric around immigration, or anything Trump has ever said about any minority), so instead of debating about whether or not it was racist when a person of color was mean to you, why not focus on fixing these systemic issues and making the world a more equitable place for ALL people 🙃🙃🙃🙃. (Also I generally don't like turning off comments but things get hella messy whenever I post about racism, particularly reverse racism - I am assuming this is from people who follow me and are younger, maybe that live in mostly white areas and don't interact with POC and have never thought about racism??? - or y'all are just racist in which cause pls unfollow because feminism is not only about white women 🙄): ls it Racist? Racism is... Systemic oppression Reinforced by society Harmful to a group of people Based on history of power, oppression, and inequality Racism is not... Simply about hurt feelings x Only an issue of being offended Just a rude statement based on racial bias Reverse racism is not real.
