College, Crazy, and Family: TELS BLACK& BROWNKIDSTHEYCAN BEANYTHINGWITHACOLLEGE DEGREE DENIES THEM FUNDING TOGET A COLLEGEDEGREE reverseracism: alexbelvocal: black-geek-supremacy: fullpraxisnow: what-did-you-do-to-my-drink: dismantlexsjwsxfeminism: well this is horribly ignorant… how is the united states denying them funding? black and brown people benefit from affirmative action that allows them to get into college easier lol No fucking kidding. The high school I graduated from, people of color pretty much just had to ask and boom free scholarships. Whites at this school? Not so much… “Think there aren’t enough scholarships benefiting white students? Think again. […] [W]hite students receive more than three times as much in merit-based grant and private scholarship funding than students of color. White students receive more than three-quarters (76 percent) of all institutional merit-based scholarship and grant funding, even though they represent less than two-thirds (62 percent) of the student population.” – Study: White Students More Likely to Win College Scholarships “According to a 1995 study, there are at least six million women — the overwhelming majority of them white — who simply wouldn’t have the jobs they have today, but for the inroads made by affirmative action (Cose 1997, 171). […] Although the gains to American women from affirmative action have extended in varying degrees to women of all colors, white women find themselves today in significantly better economic shape than women of color. In 1993, for example, the median income for white women was 16% higher than for black women, and the median white family income was 45% higher than that for black families (Bennett 1995).” –  Is Sisterhood Conditional? White Women and the Rollback of Affirmative Action They tried it tho They always do I’m willing to bet the people of color who got scholarships were more intelligent then the white People since they were being offered scholarships like crazy, but white People can’t seem to fathom that they’re not as smart as they think they are.
