I see his robot as an absolute win: What is the funniest loophole you have ever seen? Kevin Yue, studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology When I was in school, they held a robotics competition. It was pretty simple, conceptually. You had to make a firefighting robot. It would have to navigate a maze, find a candle and put it out (fully automated, no remote control). I can't remember the exact size but I think the robot had to be smaller than 1 foot in length, width, and height Scoring was as follows. You start with your time (how long it takes to search every room and put out the candle), and get deductions (bonus points) if your robot: Put out the candle with anything other than a fan (water, for instance) Searched every room, didn't just stop at the one with the candle Could separate into parts to search rooms in parallel Operated on very little code (there were a few benchmarks for this) I entered a block of dry ice: It basically just had a spring-powered hammer to shatter it into little pieces when the start timer went (so that it would evaporate faster) It basically just had a spring-powered hammer to shatter it into little pieces when the start timer went (so that it would evaporate faster) In seconds the entire maze was filled with a white fog and the candle was definitely out. I had the fastest time by a landslide even before you counted my deductions: Didn't use a fan? Check Search every room? Check Separate into parts to put out fires in parallel? Check I think I could've been the only person in history to ever win a robotics competition without writinga single line of code or soldering a single wire. But alas, the judges disqualified me by unanimous vote. WHY ARE YOU BOOING ME? I'M RIGHT I see his robot as an absolute win

For those of you asking, they’re running like that to stay out of the shot.  For us crew we TRY OUR HARDEST TO NOT GET FILMED. IT’S IMPORTANT. It’s like playing the floor is lava but with a side of “you’re fired” if you lose too many times.  We’ll do anythING to not be seen. Duck around corners, dive under tables, jump in the bushes, assume fetal position on the floor, climb trees, get in the robot, hide in the trojan horse, become a vampire, you fuckin name it.  My fav game while watching a movie is “guess where the crew is hiding in this shot” it’s great fun you should try it.  The only problem in this particular shot is there is nowhere to hide except behind the camera which IS MOVING REALLY FAST.  Why they didn’t just leave the room I have no idea. it could be any number of reasons. Time, lack of proper equipment, need to supervise/direct, etc.  The real question is how the hell did Gaga not fucking lose it seeing a herd of film nerds scamper desperately in circles behind the camera : adriennecode: no-chill-at-all: harperandmary: bionicwasok: i think about this video a lot Wtf is going on Hey y’all film crew member here. In fact, no one knows who built it, one of the producers just FOUND IT ONE DAY in a building near the studio. It had apparently been built for another production that was cancelled and then just left to gather dust. So they thought “oh cool, let’s make this dumb robot the Doctor’s new companion, it’ll look neat and weird, everyone will have a gas with it.” NOPE.Kamelion was incredibly complicated to operate, so they assigned a guy named Mike Powers to figure out the best way to go about it. Apparently he did a great job streamlining Kamelion’s operation, and then he promptly died in a boating accident (which is where the “curse” idea comes from.) He didn’t leave any notes or instructions, and the show was already behind schedule, so they had to rush Kamelion’s scenes into production with no idea how it worked. It was a gigantic pain in the ass to use, took forever to set up, and needed constant upkeep and repairs. Everyone hated working with the prop, to the point that before Kamelion’s first episode even aired, they had already decided to kill him off later in the same season.Peter Davison, who played the Fifth Doctor, had the most scenes with Kamelion, and absolutely hated it. When Kamelion dies, the Doctor is really sad, but Davison said later that it was one of the best acting jobs of his career, because in reality, he was absolutely giddy with joy at being rid of the thing. tl,dr: In the 80′s a Mystery robot prop built by unknown hands caused chaos on the Doctor Who set. finding an abandoned mystery robot and bringing it home, leading to death, is the most doctor who plot ive ever heard This was no boating accident. : Admit it. the-robot: u/caterpillarcraig 4h Men, how have you made a girl cr 435 511 Share BEST COMMENTS bivukaz 2h I work with kids in an elementary school One day I was standing in front of the lunch room, and I had to make the kids form a queue in order to enter the lunch room. In order to prevent the kids from rushing inside all at once, i usually play games with them to make them wait. Things like rock paper scissors, and other silly games. That day I was acting like I was the bouncer of this very exclusive nightclub called: "The Lunch Room" and I asked each kid to bust a dance move for me in order to get in. Obviously, everyone could enter but they had to shake their body a little bit. All the kids were plaving along, making fortnite dances, and other popular moves like the dab, the nae nae, etc etc etc...the most shy boys could do the robot, and the most shy girls could take my hand and i would make them spin like ballet dancers. At one point it was the turn of this shy girl, who slowly walked toward me, looked at me in the eyes... Then cried She was absolutely terrified of doing this in front of the other kids and just cried. I tried to confort her a little, so I picked her up in my arms, and took her hand like we were dancing a waltz, then spinned our way into the lunchroom Later that day she came to see me and asking me to dance with her again. I sure did. I taught her how to dance the waltz (the 3 step thing) and she had a blast.
