Community, Future, and Gucci: Diddy Talks New App With Jay-Z To Connect Consumers to Black-Owned Businesses In New GQ Interview: "It's About Blacks Gaining Economic Power"@balleralert Diddy Talks New App With ‪Jay-Z‬ To Connect Consumers to Black-Owned Businesses In New GQ Interview: “It’s About Blacks Gaining Economic Power” - blogged by @worldwidekeege ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Brother Love himself, or Diddy, as many still recognize his name as, was the cover story for the newest issue of GQ magazine. The interview mentioned a lot of projects we can expect to see from Diddy in the near future, including the new app that he and ‪Jay-Z‬ want to develop to connect consumers to black-owned business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He stated, "My culture… I want to be an authentic, unapologetic warrior for black culture and the culture of the street and how it moves. My thing is most importantly to change the narrative of the black race. I can't relate to anything that isn't about that.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There wasn’t much mentioned about the app’s name, release date, etc. Yet, Brother Love let up lightly about the apps projected function. When you open it, you will be able to search any city for black-owned or black-friendly business for you to patronize. Like a digital directory. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He goes on to clarify, saying, "This is not about taking away from any other community… We'll still go to Chinatown. We'll still buy Gucci! But the application will make it possible for us to have an economic community. It's about blacks gaining economic power.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Looking forward to seeing how the app works and what kind of businesses you will be able to find once you explore its search engines.

In fact, Iger revealed that there is a high demand for the film’s character at the Disney Theme Parks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the wake of the film's success, Iger believes there may be room for a new “Black Panther” ride at the park, and at the very least much more merchandise for the fans and consumers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “No, we haven’t had a chance to build a ride,” he said. “Though I’m sure there are people who are working on it.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I pretty much guarantee that this coming Halloween and even Christmas, you know you’ll be seeing a lot of Black Panther merchandise,” Iger said, adding that the film is on track to becoming the company’s 12th billion dollar franchise.

Basketball, Friends, and Memes: Barack Obama Says That He Would Sign with the San Antonio Spurs If Ever Given the Chance to Be a Part of the NBA @balleralert Barack Obama Says That He Would Sign with the San Antonio Spurs If Ever Given the Chance to Be a Part of the NBA - blogged by: @ashleytearra ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If BarackObama was ever seeking an NBA team to sign with, the San Antonio Spurs would be the first to hear from him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During a sit-down at MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston this week, when asked which professional basketball squad he would be open to join, the former President of the United States actually said so himself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “This is an outstanding fantasy. I am just basking in the scenario,” he said, referring to his long-lived basketball dreams. “I think it’s fair to say that there are organizations in the NBA that may not win every year, [but] they are focused on the team; they treat everybody in the organization with respect. That is the kind of organization that I would want to be a part of. I will say that, over the last fifteen in basketball, San Antonio would be a great example.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Obama then added, “There is a little drama popping up right now. If you look at what they’ve built, it’s just a smart, well-run operation with good culture.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to mySanAntonio, he later joked that he had to be careful, being that he does have friends who own NBA teams. However, he also mentioned the Rockets, Warriors, and Celtics as good NBA homes.

Climbing, Food, and Friends: LIFEISMEANT TO BEENJOYED Nowadays everyone including you are being subjected to a socially constructed myth that you’re either “working and paying your dues”, or you’re “being lazy”. There’s no in-between. Enjoyment is greedy, work is good. 🤔 The reason so many people in the American workforce are unhappy is because they are being told a lie: getting ahead, scaling the ladder, or making more money are supposed to make you happy. But this is not true. Any culture with an ounce of wisdom will tell you that what makes you happy are: ✔️Connections with other people. ✔️Companionship. ✔️New experiences, and discovering yourself. This is why other countries are more “people oriented” versus being simply career minded. 👇Here’s the solution to start enjoying life! Simply shift priorities! Do the unthinkable and put “getting ahead” and climbing your individual or corporate career ladders on the back-burner. Prioritize meeting people and enjoying life. Find ways to supplement your income and turn your full-time job into a part-time. Spend the rest of your extra hours taking dance classes, cooking food, throwing dinner parties, going out, or just relaxing in nature. - Finally, a very important point to make is that we become scared that making lifestyle-happiness-low stress a priority over, say, climbing a corporate ladder or working more, is that you’ll end up a “bum”, you won’t have enough saved for “retirement”, maybe your friends will think you’re a loser. Nope. By leading a more relaxed lifestyle, your performance will go up. Happiness=greater performance. You’re more likely to become a very successful person by cutting the anxiety out of your life, and giving yourself more space for your imagination to flourish into new ideas. Try it out, and let me know what happens! - life enjoy millionairementor

We can come together for a great cause and support our own. Understand that this is only the beginning for our culture. No need to bring each other down. We are here to uplift and bring each other together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Remember, our black will forever be beautiful. Don’t allow anyone to tell you different. Understand that we are simply appreciating our culture for what it is and not giving a damn about what any has to say about it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am unsure why people are surprised at how black people come together. Continue to educate our children every moment we get, so that it doesn’t seem like a fad to others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This may be new to some, but baby our melanin been popping!

Instead, she has unapologetically crafted her own, with no-holds-barred. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not only a rapper but a woman, too, the Bronx native certainly has faced many challenges. However, she continues to prevail, time and time again—living loudly and proudly—despite those who consistently fight so hard to bring her to silence. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When it’s all said and done, she’s just a “regular, degular, shmegular” girl, from the streets of NY, who decided to go for it… and won. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She’s simply Cardi—no more, no less—and she proved that in a recent sit-down with i-D Magazine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During the candid interview, the 25-year-old opened up about her thoughts on feminism and how her stance in the culture is sometimes underestimated. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Being a feminist is such a great thing, and some people feel like someone like me can’t be as great as that,” she says. “They think feminism is great and only a woman who can speak properly, who has a degree, who is a boss, a businessperson… they think only [someone like] Michelle Obama can be a feminist.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And, at a time where even the slightest mention of the word “feminism” still acts as a touchy topic amongst the millennial community, Cardi didn’t end it there. She spoke her mind and spoke it truthfully. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “But, being a feminist is real simple; it’s that a woman can do things the same as a man. I’m equal to a n****. Anything a man can do, I can do,” she adds. “I can finesse, I can hustle. We have the same freedom. I was top of the charts. I’m a woman, and I did that. I do feel equal to a man.”
