Community, Family, and Food: 255 savetheturtlescanada: IT’S TIME TO STOP USING SINGLE-USE PLASTICS!!! We recently sparked conversation amongst the Tumblr community about our global plastic usage when we first introduced our reusable straws. While we were aggressive in pointing out that change needed to be made, some of you stressed that plastic usage went beyond just straws. We took what you told us in wanting more products that could assist in lowering our plastic usage and have come up with a solution for another plastic culprit: single-use produce bags. While grocery stores worldwide are phasing out single-use grocery bags at the till, produce bags still remain. On average, 4 bags per family are used per day, adding up to a staggering 1,500 short-lived bags per year! The average plastic bag is used for a whopping 12 minutes! That same bag will take centuries to degrade and may cause irreversible damage to marine life and our oceans. Making the switch to reusables will make a difference - in the health of our planet and the long-lasting freshness of your food. They are not just for produce either. You can store travel items and almost any household item. Perfect for toys, fruit, coins, medicine, cables, cosmetics, accessories and much more. Use them to keep things together during grocery shopping, camping, fishing, garden harvest, beach, and travels.  We hope you’ll join us in our effort to continue the conversation surrounding the reduction of plastic use and keeping our oceans clean.  Check out our Reusable Bags HERE

Being Alone, Beautiful, and Crying: freemaofficial Dear Sense8 Family I have been meaning to write this letter for some time. The outpouring of love and grief that came in the wake of the news that Sense8 would not be continuing was so intense that I often found myself unable to open my own email. I confess I fell into a fairly serious depression. I had never worked so hard, or put so much of myself into a project as I had with Sense8 and its cancellation hollowed me out. I felt the disappointment of my amazing crew (I wish people could understand the impossibilities they achieved with implausible regularity.) I felt the sadness of the actors who had given so much of themselves, always finding more whenever the sun broke from the clouds. But most of all I felt the heartbreak of our fans (again I wish I could cluster with you to share some of the beautiful moments, the hugs, tears and laughter, as well as the insightful and humbling conversations I have had with people who have connected to this show, they are unlike any fans I have ever encountered as an artist). Friends kept calling from all over the world asking, 'Isn't there anything you can do?" And the truth was, no. By myself, there was nothing I could do. But just as the characters in our show discover that they are not alone, I too have learned that I am not just a me. I am also a we. The passionate letters, the petitions, the collective voice that rose up like the fist of Sun to fight for this show was beyond what anyone was expecting. In this world it is easy to believe that you cannot make a difference; that when a government or an institution or corporation makes a decision, there is something irrevocable about the decision; that love is always less important than the bottom line. But here is a gift from the fans of this show that I will carry forever in my heart: while it is Improbably, unforeseeably, your love has brought Sense8 back to life. (I could kiss every It is my great pleasure as well as Netflix's (believe me, they love the show as much as we often true those decisions are irreversible, it is not always true. single one of youl) do but the numbers have always been challenging) to announce that there will be another two hour special released next year. After that... if this experience has taught me anything, you NEVER know. Thank you all. Now let's go find out what happens to Wolfgang. 18,440 likes #BringbackSenseB #THANKYOU We're coming back!!!!e @netflix @sense8 #nomanita @msjam.eclayton blame-it-on-the-nargles: I’m effing crying in a bathroom stall… I’m so effing happy… THERE BETTER BE FIVE WEDDINGS HAPPENING IN THE FINAL SCENE!

Alive, Bernie Sanders, and Black Lives Matter: Bernie Sanders 1963 Protesting Segregation I'm currently watching a documentary called 'The Sixties' on Netflix. They dedicated one episode to MLK Jr. and it was powerful. I'm convinced that if he were alive and young again today, he would be marching for Bernie. I am also convinced that modern republicans and establishment democrats, many of which are my family, would stand strongly against the civil rights movement. As I watched MLK give his last speech before his death I cried openly, emotion swept over me is I realized how little has changed. It's 2016 and we lock up and enslave millions of black folks, force them to work for pennies on the hour, strip them of their right to vote and leave their kids to grow up in ghettos... No decent work to be found. It's 2016 and voter suppression among Americans is rampant, and yet our leaders say nothing. It's 2016 and global warming is nearly irreversible, yet our leaders say nothing. We are very fortunate to have Bernie, and we continue to fight for his cause, but we must continue that fight and take it further than just his presidency. We need constant pressure on all leadership and constant awareness for all citizens. I am no example of how to go about this, but I do feel strongly about it and am thankful to have surrounded myself with those who do have the means and the will to fight for what is right. 🙏🏻 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––– 👍🏻 Turn On Post Notifications! 📝 Register To Vote 📢 Raise Awareness For Our Revolution 💰 Donate to Bernie ––––––––––––––––––––––––––– FeelTheBern DemDebate BernieSanders Bernie2016 Hillary2016 GopDebate Obama HillaryClinton President BernieSanders2016 election2016 trump2016 Vegan BlackLivesMatter SanDiego Vote California Cali BernieOrBUST Primary WhichHillary NeverHillary HillaryForPrison Losangeles DropOutHillary Fresno Sacramento oakland sanfrancisco –––––––––––––––––––––––––––
