Bodies , Driving, and Energy: Knee Stabilit The ability to keep the knees in direct alignment with the foot (minimizing any side-to-side movement) SOU AT UMIVERSITY Ideally the knee should track in the exact same position during the entire squat. Here's a great example of an athlete @max_lang_weightlifting with optimal knee stability (squatting 170kg - 374lbs for 10 reps). The knees of some athletes waver slightly (often moving inward toward the toes) on the ascent of the squat, or even worse cave-in completely (called a valgus collapse). The longer an athlete has been lifting with this type of poor movement - the harder it is to break the habit. If they move this way for too long - it becomes a crutch and they unfortunately need to move that way in order to keep lifting as much weight. While a slight knee waver isn’t a horrible technique error it is NOT optimal from a mechanical standpoint. This means improved knee control (less side to side movement) will give you the potential to lift more weight. The knees were designed to bend and straighten - any Lateral movement during the squat is only wasted energy that could be used to drive more weight up! Lifting heavy weights poorly will make you stronger. However, it will make you stronger in the WRONG WAY by reinforcing poor technique. In the end - moving big weight poorly will lead to pain. It's time to teach our athletes that it doesn’t matter how MUCH they can squat, if they can’t squat WELL. While technique perfection is something most of us will never achieve, we should always strive to attain it. __________________________________ Squat University is the ultimate guide to realizing the strength to which the body is capable of. Blessed, Clothes, and Future: "Hold on to those who remind you of Allah MuslimOnTheMap MOTM The Best Companions . I was watching thia video on YouTube where it was said in that video, The Best companian is the one whose appearance reminds you of Allah, and whose speech increases you in knowledge, and whose actions remind you of the hereafter. - Do they remind you of Allāhﷻ? His Prophetﷺ? . Who do we spend the most time with? For most of us the answer "friends". Friends are the people we share things with, talk to regularly, and experience a large part of our life with and if they are upon jahilyaah chances are we are on that too on a level. . This is why the Prophet ﷺ said: “A person is on the religion of his companions. Therefore let every one of you carefully consider the company he keeps.”(1) . Most us commit sins on daily basis because of the encouragement we get from our friends like when they do stuff me and you just blindly join in, even when sometimes you dont want too. . Allāhﷻ says, “And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so- and-so as a friend! He has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. And Satan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.”(2) - “Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except the righteous.”(3) . Prophet of Allahﷺ says, The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an offensive smell from him.”(4) . Brothers and sisters it is really important that we chose our friends wisely, u could be having the time of your living with them but in future the likes of you and have narrations but no ideas about it. The friends around you can either destroy you or make you among the best of people. - May Allah bless us with righteous company✨ - Ref (1)Tirmidhi (2)Qur’an 25:27-29 (3)Al-Qur’an 43:67 (4)al Bukahri & Muslim ✒@muslimonthemap

Memes, Auburn, and Vietnamese: WE LOST ONE OF OUR GREATEST WARRIORS "NOTHING IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE." HAROLD G. MOORE VETERANS ME FIRST RIP LT GEN. HALMOORE Retired Lt. Gen. Harold G. "Hal" Moore, the American hero known for saving most of his men in the first major battle between the U.S. and North Vietnamese armies, died late Friday in his sleep at his home in Auburn, Alabama. He was 94. Joseph Galloway, who with Moore co-authored the book "We Were Soldiers Once ... and Young," said Moore, his friend of 51 years, died two days shy of his 95th birthday. "There's something missing on this earth now. We've lost a great warrior, a great soldier, a great human being and my best friend. They don't make them like him anymore," Galloway said. Moore was best known for his actions at the 1965 Battle of Ia Drang, where he was a lieutenant colonel in command of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment. His actions were later reflected in the movie "We Were Soldiers" in which actor Mel Gibson portrayed Moore. The book tells what happened to virtually every trooper involved in the 34-day campaign and the climactic four-day battle in which 234 Americans died at landing zones X-Ray and Albany in November 1965. Galloway, a former war correspondent for United Press International, said Moore was "without question, one of the finest commanders I ever saw in action." "Those of us who survived Landing Zone X-Ray survived because of his brilliance of command. I think every one of us thought we were going to die at that place except Hal Moore. He was certain we were going to win that fight and he was right," Galloway recalled. Lt. Gen. Hal Moore is a rare example of responsible, balanced and extremely professional military leader. Today's America sorely lacks people like Moore, such people as he should lead our Military forward. Future US military officers should take him for a model. We've lost a true warrior. Memes, Clueless, and Justified: Marry a man who loves you more than you love him My mother once told me: When you hold a man's hand and he makes your heart beat faster and he makes you feel giddy and excited, walk away from this man. lle is not the man for you. If you hold a man's hand and he makes you feel warm, safe and secure, hold onto him. This is the man you are going to marry Go follow ➡@terryderon ⬅️ I was sent this quote and asked to give my opinion on it. I think this is another example of a woman giving relationship advice that means absolutely nothing and follows absolutely no logic. I think it's dumb as hell to walk away from someone that u like and makes u excited without a justifiable reason. I don't see what in the world a man's hand making u feel warm is supposed to mean but it doesn't say anything about the man as a person or whether or not u are compatible with him. The whole idea of someone using holding someone else's hand as a method to determine if they're worth dating is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of! So the fact that people are posting things like this to guide others shows the kind of mentalities men encounter when dating and how clueless a lot of women really are about judging men! Memes, India, and Lookout: SHARE Newsner LIKE Boy approaches car to ask for change but when he looks inside, he bursts into tears BY NEWSNER A lot of well-off people look at poor people with mistrust. They assume that people asking for money on the streets are delinquents or thieves on the lookout for anything they can get their hands on. But in truth, people living in poverty often turn out to be more generous and empathic than those who live comfortable lives. An example of this is a little boy named John Thuo. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya, where like many other poor kids, he used to beg for money on the streets. John Thou used to spend his days on the streets of Nairobi, Kenya begging for money. It's something that irrates many drivers, because they assume that the beggers are most likely thieves. However, John Thuo proved that he's not only not a thief, but he also has a heart of gold. One day, the boy was out begging when he approached a car to ask for money. But when he looked inside, John was struck by something unusual he saw. The driver of the car was hooked up to tubes and breathing oxygen out of a tank. The woman's name is Gladys Kamande. She's 32 years old, and she explained to John that her lungs had collapsed, so she couldn't breathe properly and had to carry the oxygen tanks with her in order to stay alive. John was shocked to realize that in spite of his poverty, there are people in the world who are worse off than he is—because they don't even have their health. Moved to tears, John offered Gladys all the money that he'd taken in that day and held her hand through the window. A passerby noticed the incident, took some photos, and told the story on the internet. And within a few days, the story had gone viral and triggered a a chain of events that would change both John and Gladys' lives forever. After Gladys' story spread, thousands of donations poured in. In total, kindhearted strangers contributed $80,000 to enable her to travel to India and receive treatment. And how is John doing? Well, after all of the attention he received on social media, he was finally rescued from the streets and adopted into a loving home. The woman who adopted him, Nissy Wambugu, also gave him the opportunity to start studying! In the end, John's gesture of kindness helped not just Gladys—
