While most peopleโ€™s response to the coconut crab would be, โ€œHahaha NOPE,โ€ we here at @Science think that the worldโ€™s largest land-living arthropod is simply fascinating. Even though they have the ability to grow up to three feet long from leg to leg, the primary predators of this species of terrestrial hermit crab are humans and other coconut crabs. With an incredible sense of smell, these crabs are able to find fruits, nuts, and seeds with the blunt antennae located at the front of their heads.
