Because it’s bound to be hilarious. The original source for this was a 1991 Locus interview with Gaiman. Stay tuned for more details… Oh my gosh. “He didn’t know enough to stop us” is the best sort of situation ever. : In real life: Gaiman and Pratchett did a radio interview when the book came out, and slowly realized that the interviewer wasn't aware that the book was fictional, and thought they were a couple of religious kooks writing about what they thought would be the real apocalypse. They spent the rest of it viciously trolling him. your memory.. I said 'What is it you need to know?'," begins Gaiman, wryly "He said 'Well, you remember we were on the Good Omens author tour in February 1990'... He said 'We were in New York and we went to that ABC affiliate radio station, and the interviewer had not actually read the book. So when we started telling him about Agnes Nutter.. we started explaining about this 17th century witch who all of her predictions were true... He did not realise this was fictional. We realised he had not read the book, and the engineers in the control room behind the glass panel who we could see and he could not, were lying on their backs kicking their legs against the walls. kyraneko: katy-133: mirrorfalls: katy-133: If anyone ever finds a copy of this 1990 New York radio interview for Good Omens’ book tour, please let me know immediately. The delicate ecosystem of large chain hardware stores: factfiction emiliusthegreat Follow partybarackisinthehousetonight releases pack of dads into home depot* go....be free hotcommunist invasive species encroach on lesbian territory dreaming-shark This is a common misconception because they're such similar environments, but you should be aware that dads are native to Home Depot, while lesbians are actually native to Lowe's. At this point, however, both dads and lesbians have made themselves at home in both Home Depot and Lowe's to the point that trying to separate them back into their original ranges would probably do more harm than good to the delicate ecosystem of large chain hardware stores. ailithnight A properly raised and socialized Dad will be perfectly comfort- able cohabiting with Lesbians. Its not really "encroaching on another's territory". You wouldn't say that about foxes in a forest that also homes bobcats, would you? No. It's just two different species that have both evolved to live in similar/the same environment. As long as they recognize each other as equals, Dads and Lesbians are more than capable of cohabitation. Now, if you were to release a pack of Lumberjacks into a or Home Depot, that's where chaos will reign. Being adap far harsher and more demanding environment, the Lumberjacks would simply push Dads and Lesbians both out and also consume far more than a sustainable amount of resources. It would be like releasing bears at a country club. chequerootlurks As a former timber-harveste... I feel this is potentially accurate in theory. But highly improbable in actuality. Lumberjacks, like most megafauna species generally require more space than the average hardware store, even a big box store could provide. The misconception is that Lumberjacks are a social species because of how they often work and live together. This is a matter of necessity, not preference, and a survival technique for thriving under the Log Boss. A "pack" of Lumberjacks, if not under the environmental pressure of a Log Boss will naturally disperse until they each have a wide territory Lumberjacks rarely fight for territory. One on one, a Lumberjack could drive out a Dad or Lesbian, however the latter tend to travel in social packs. Lumberjacks will passively retreat on the presence of large numbers of people. Kind of like Sasquatch Getting a "pack" of Lumberjacks assembled would be hard enough unless they were forced into a Hardware Store by a LogBoss. In that case, they would already be in a heightened and potentially agitated state far above their natural behavior. This artificial scenario can be likened to a circus animal running amok If it had been in the wild, the incident would not have occurred. Free-roaming Lumberjacks are the cryptids of the Hardware system. They are surprisingly quiet and unobtrusive Please stop labeling Lumberjacks as dangerous roving social predators. They are intermediate level omnivores and remarkably peaceful unless threatened. katy-l-wood As a hardware store worker I can say that this is all 100% accurate. blackcrystalsrpg: We are a day or two (timezones lel) away from the new year. Where has this year gone? I just remember attending Katy Perry’s New Year concert last year like it was yesterday!! I want to thank everyone who have stuck with me on this long gamedev journey, and I apologize if I do not engage as much as I can online and for not being able to get the game out as quick as people are expecting. I appreciate your kindness and patience. This game is very special to me, and I hope when its out you guys feel the same way about it as I do. We are closing 2018 with 2350+ followers here and 450 on Twitter. Thank you all so very much and here’s to a new year filled with Crystals! So I am not normally one for writing progress reports and reflections and stuff like that, but I felt that I owe it to my followers to know where this project is currently at and where its headed in 2019, so I wrote a bunch of questions I feel people may be thinking, and answered them…. Here we go! (under the cut~!) Keep reading : HAPPY NEw YEAR 0 0 blackcrystalsrpg: We are a day or two (timezones lel) away from the new year. Where has this year gone? Content Tags: katy-l-wood I think growing up on a steady diet of fanfiction made me hate traditional book genres. Like, I don't care what the overall "theme" is. Gimme the tags. Is there character death? Sibling rivalry? Snarky best friend?
