Being Alone, Driving, and Friends: When your depression kicks in and you almost start complaining to everyone but your only friends who seem to give some vague semblence of a shit about you have actual real life problems alongside being depressed but they don't complain constantly so you get consumed by self loathing and want to talk to one of your few friends but you don't because you don't want to be a burden on them when they already have shit to deal with so you sit alone with your thoughts driving yourself to tears at how awful of a person you are, getting sad over literally nothing and being a constant reminder to you that you're inferior to everyone around you and you will never amount to anything due to how you are as a person and you're unable to change who you are so you have to slowly wait and hope you die soon

Portman was crushed because she essentially had been duped into a contract for a film that would keep her away from her young son and force her back into a one-dimensional role under yet another male director.
