When I was a kid I loved the movie RAD. You remember, it was the one with the awesome BMX bikes. Anyways, I would sit around my room dreaming about having one of those bikes. I asked my mom & dad if they would buy me one and they quickly told me NO. They said if I wanted the bike I would have to buy it myself. . The thought of owning one consumed me so I hatched a plan to get me an exact replica of the movie bike. . Step 1 Convince my mom to front me $40.00 and take me to the store to buy bulk candy. Laffy Taffy, Suckers, Dip Sticks Ect. . Step 2 Take my backpack full of candy to school and sell it to all the kids for double what I paid. . Step 3 Pay my mom back her $40.00 and repeat until I had enough for the bike. . My little candy business took off more that I anticipated. It grew so fast that I had to hire other kids to work for me and help me sell the candy. Life was great & eventually I made enough money to buy the bike. So I bought the bike and every kid in my neighborhood envied my new bike. Especially Jason the neighborhood bully. . Well one day I came outside & my bike was gone. Jason had taken it and told me that it was now his bike. He Deebo'd my bike! And Jason was huge & one of the meanest kids around. I ran home crying & I told my mom that he stole my bike & that I needed her to buy me a new one. . She said "son...go outside and get back your bike and don't come home until you have it because if you allow them to take your bike and push you down and bully you...that for the rest of your life you will live remembering that they walked all over you and took what was rightfully yours." She then kicked me out of the house and forced me to go confront Jason. . And even though I was scared & hesitant (& I got my ass kicked) I got my bike back. It was the greatest lesson of my life because it taught me to stand up for myself and perceive each situation as an opportunity to grow. Like Jim Rohn once said..."You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.": I CAME FROM NOTHING. SO I CAN NEVER LOSE EVERYTHING IS A WIN NSTAGRAM CLEVERINVESTOR When I was a kid I loved the movie RAD. It's not the police who need to be retrained, it's the public. We have grown into a mouthy, cell phone wielding, vulgar, uncivil society with no personal responsibility and the attitude of 'it's the other person's fault', 'you owe me'. A society where children grow up with no boundaries or knowledge or concern for civil society and personal responsibility. Police officers are our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. They're black, white, brown, all colors, all ethnicities, all faiths, male and female, they are us. They see the worst side of humanity... the raped children, the bloody mangled bodies of traffic victims, the bruised and battered victims of domestic violence, homicide victims, body parts... day after day. They work holidays while we have festive meals with our families. They miss school events with their kids, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special occasions that we take for granted. They work in all types of weather, under dangerous conditions, for relatively low pay. They have extensive training, but they are human. When there are numerous attacks on them, they become hyper vigilant for a reason, they have become targets. When a police officer encounters any person... any person, whether at a traffic stop, a street confrontation, an arrest, whatever... that situation has the potential to become life threatening. You, Mr & MrsMiss Civilian, also have the responsibility of keeping the situation from getting out of control. Many law enforcement officers are Veterans. They've been in service to this nation most of their lives, whether on the battlefield or protecting us here at home. They are the only thing that stands between us and anarchy in the streets. YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND Ya b I'M I am fully aware that Planned Parenthood was founded by racist Margaret Sanger and that the black abortion rate is obscenely high CONSERVATIVE as the same Democrats who watched attacked Clarence Thomas defended Bill Clinton's sexual harrassment. I don't accept for one second the notion that I need special treatment or dependence on the state in order for me to succeed. I believe in personal responsibility and success. the second amendment and don't cherish trust those who want to lessen my right to delend myself, my family or my home I loathe those who want to tell me how to think or vote by calling me an Uncle Tonm or a sellout It's not the past that saddens me, it's Obama.
stixandstonz:

blackguywithraybans:

proudblackconservative:

I should put this in my FAQ

Do conservatives forget about the Southern Strategy?
