Memes, News, and Party: wouL "I THINK IT'S GREAT!" Republican Party HQ vandalism suspect boasts in on-camera interview before arrest Hours after he allegedly spray painted the words 'rape' and 'shame' dozens of time on the Winnebago County Republican Party headquarters Sunday morning, suspect Timothy Damm (42) talked with an Eyewitness News reporter at the scene. "I think it's great," Damm said of the vandalism. "I haven't been great with the Republicans right in my neighborhood, but somebody labeled them for what they are. I'm happy about that." Damm was wearing a pink shirt with the same date printed on the back when he was interviewed. When asked if he thought the vandal had gotten their message across, Damm replied, "I think they did... Republican equals rape. That they support rape, they encourage rape, and if you rape someone, they will defend you." Damm was detained later Sunday at the Walmart on Riverside Blvd. where police found him in possession of additional cans of spray paint in a shopping bag. He was taken into custody on Monday. Damm was charged with criminal damage to property and resisting a police officer. He faces up to one to three years in prison, if convicted. According to the criminal complaint, Damm danced on the table in the police interview room, stacked chairs and furnishings, and stripped down to his underwear. The complaint goes on to say that when police tried to escort Damm from the interview room he thrashed his arms and legs and refused to sit in the holding room. He was then taken to the floor and restrained in handcuffs.

Alive, Cars, and Children: THIS CHANGES THE GAME FOREVER halduron-brightwang: immortalismortem: liquidglue: b just wear the seatbelt Mmmmmmm I gotta naysay here. Seatbelts do a LOT of harm. Not everyone can wear one  and not everyone wants to risk it. Just among my own friends and people I know in general; 4 females had a breast cut completely or partially off due to a seat belt. 6 people had their throats cut, to an obviously non-lethal degree. 2 had their stomach’s cut open to a horrifying degree that I won’t elaborate on. Not even counting the uncomfortably awkward belt locations for particularly large, small, fat, skinny people. Females with large breasts get the joy of holding the belt in place or adjusting it every couple seconds. They’re awkward, uncomfortable, painful, and can often cause the injuries in an accident. Sometimes it’s just better to forgo the belt. Those injuries caused by seat belts more than very likely would have been deadly had they not been wearing them. To have enough force to cut skin or cut off a breast in an accident is far more than enough to cause someone to go flying through the windshield of a car, to slam them into the steering column, or through a window resulting in deadly injuries or causing an even bigger accident for other drivers now that your body is in the road along with your crashed car. Are you really going to risk being a smear of ground meat on the pavement because your seat belt was a little uncomfortable or it might cut you? Then I got good news for you, there’s a wide variety of devices made specifically to make seat belts more comfortable and reduce that risk. These make it so that your seat belt won’t cut your neck, a simple sleeve of padded fabric that velcros around it, meaning you can put it anywhere on the belt.  This one does something similar, by readjusting the positioning of the seat belt to move it farther away from your neck and hey, helps a bit with having boobs in the way. They even make ones for children too. Boobs still in the way? While it’s pretty silly looking, this helps keep the seat belt in place so you don’t have to keep adjusting it. And if you’re overweight, they make seat belt extenders so you can still be safe.  But maybe you’re still unsure, then listen to the CDC and all of their sources.  “More than half of the people killed in car crashes were not restrained at the time of the crash.1 Wearing a seat belt is the most effective way to prevent death and serious injury in a crash.Seat belt use is on the rise. Laws, education, and technology have increased seat belt use from 11% in 19812 to nearly 85% in 20103, saving hundreds of thousands of lives. “ “Most drivers and passengers killed in crashes are unrestrained. 53% of drivers and passengers killed in car crashes in 2009 were not wearing restraints.1Seat belts dramatically reduce risk of death and serious injury. Among drivers and front-seat passengers, seat belts reduce the risk of death by 45%, and cut the risk of serious injury by 50%.4Seat belts prevent drivers and passengers from being ejected during a crash. More than 3 out of 4 people who are ejected during a fatal crash die from their injuries.5Seat belts save thousands of lives each year, and increasing use would save thousands more. Seat belts saved almost 13,000 lives in 2009. If all drivers and passengers had worn seat belts that year, almost 4,000 more people would be alive today” Or this one “ The number of those who escaped injury [by wearing a seat belt] increased by 40% and those with mild and moderate injuries decreased by 35% after seatbelt legislation. There was a significant reduction in soft tissue injuries to the head. Only whiplash injuries to the neck showed a significant increase.” Or this “ Fifty-five percent of those killed in passenger vehicle occupant crashes in 2008 were not wearing a seat belt…” “Wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of fatal injury by almost 50%. For children, the risk of fatal injury is reduced by 71% with the use of child safety seats.“ “Of those thrown completely out of a vehicle in a car crash, 75% died. Only one percent of people totally ejected from their cars had on a seat belt during the crash. Over 30% were not wearing seat belts.“ Conclusion? Wear your fucking seat belt. Tell your kids to wear their fucking seat belt. Tell your friends and family to wear their fucking seat belts. Time and time again it’s been proven that you are significantly more likely to survive a crash if you’re wearing one. Most people think they’re uncomfortable, but when you’re in a crash it can save your life. I’d rather be mildly injured than dead. Wear your seat belt.

Wear your seat belt. 2017 and people are still trying to spread the myth that you don’t need to wear a seatbelt. People really don’t wear a seatbelt???? This reminds me of a story from WW1  When they first introduced Helmets to the troops fighting in trenches the number of head injuries suddenly skyrocketed and people wanted to take the helmets away again. Until they realized that the reason for this was the fact that most of these head injuries would have been fatal if it wasn’t for the Helmets. You always need to look at the bigger picture.   Lmfao ya rather save ya tiddies than go flying through the fucking windshield some of you guys are crazy Flying through windshields will also disembowel you and cut off your tits. I’m just saying. I was in a single car accident years back in my first car. If it weren’t for a tree ‘catching’ me I probably would’ve gone rolling. I was wearing a seatbelt. I climbed out of the car (out of the sunroof, actually, because the doors were jammed). The police that stopped and helped me basically said they’d seen people NOT climb out of accidents like that (and lesser ones!) because they’d not been wearing their seatbelts when it happened. Wear your damn seatbelts, people.

I use the same rule she did when we were kids: my car doesn’t move until everyone in it is buckled in.

Anaconda, Cars, and Doctor: Nazia Hasan Kazi November 14 at 8:59am When did people start thinking "nonviolent protest meant "candlelight vigils" instead of withholding your labor, boycotting, shutting down highways and roads, opening cages, breaking laws that are unjust? Asking for a friend. moncarnetdenote: geekandmisandry: smitethepatriarchy: geekandmisandry: taranoire: uteruskraken: taranoire: Well, shutting down highways and roads is dangerous and puts people at risk of harm. Other than that…. 😑 and how does it do that? How are you at risk because you can’t go down the street you wanted to? Because streets are used for emergency services. Also, EVERYONE uses roads. So, just as you might be inconveniencing white motorists on a Sunday drive you’re also putting the wellbeing of everyone at risk. People have doctor appointments, obligations, kids need to get to school. The only people you’re REALLY hurting when you disrupt vital services are the poor and disabled. I’m poor and disabled, i have no time to be a shield here. Protestors rarely ever cause blockage to emergency vehicles and telling people to protest in a way that doesn’t inconvenience anyone is ridiculous. Staying quietly out of the way is not how change gets accomplished. People protest BECAUSE people are dying but I guess those people don’t fucking matter? I’ve been to multiple protests that have blocked roads. Once, an emergency vehicle needed to get through. You know what happened? The protesters moved out of the way to let the emergency vehicle through and then moved back into place. I know it sounds IMPOSSIBLE but I saw it happen. People just so desperately want to perpetuate myths about protests, they sound like the fox news journalists who will call them “riots”. Protests are often organised and have people with experience as a part of it. They aren’t an angry mob turning over cars because there football team lost. For a whole year, most of the students of my province led a general strike against the government. Of course, this featured demonstrations and protests… Everyday, mostly in the evenings, including a few general and national protest days when we’d be almost half a million marching through the streets of Montreal. And I can say with 100% certainty… We NEVER kept the emergency vehicles from passing through. Fire truck? We’d move out the way and form a safety corridor for them to speed through, then tighten ranks again. Ambulance? We’d move the fuck out of the way as fast as possible. The last thing we ever wanted was to have a death on our conscience. We were protesting unfair laws, not out for blood (unlike what the government liked to imply though -_____-). You know who DID block the way to emergency vehicles though? The riot police. Whenever they injured people when they fired flashbang grenades right in the crowds and the exploded and sent shrapnel into people’s legs or faces, when they fired rubber bullets at face level against safety regulations, when they repeatedly rammed a downed, restrained protester with their batons and boots until teeth and blood covered the floor, they also systemically blocked ANY ambulances and first responders trying to get to the injured, or leave with a person in critical state to get to the hospital. They formed tight ranks and raised their plexiglass shields and stared them down, backed them off, trapped them with the protesters. Hell, they even arrested some of the first responders attending to the injured when they mass arrested the people they trapped with their own militaristic ranks. You’re vilifying the wrong crowd, @taranoire, who I can’t seem to tag.

Being Alone, Complex, and Crying: legs-like-austin-carlile z-ay: simplypurkey Gateway of the Mind In 1983, a team of deeply pious scientists conducted a radical experiment in an undisclosed facility. The scientists had theorized that a human without access to any senses or ways to perceive stimuli would be able to perceive the presence of God. They believed that the five senses clouded our awareness of eternity, and without them, a human could actually establish contact with God by thought. An elderly man who claimed to have "nothing left to live for" was the only test subject to volunteer. To purge him of all his senses, the scientists performed a complex operation in which every sensory nerve connection to the brain was surgically severed. Although the test subject retained full muscular function, he could not see, hear, taste, smell, or feel. With no possible way to communicate with or even sense the outside world, he was alone with his thoughts. Scientists monitored him as he spoke aloud about his state of mind in jumbled, slurred sentences that he couldn't even hear. After four days, the man claimed to be hearing hushed, unintelligible voices in his head. Assuming it was an onset of psychosis, the scientists paid little attention to the man's concerns. Two days later, the man cried that he could hear his dead wife speaking with him, and even more, he could communicate back. The scientists were intrigued, but were not convinced until the subject started naming dead relatives of the scientists. He repeated personal information to the scientists that only their dead spouses and parents would have known. At this point, a sizable portion of scientists left the study. After a week of conversing with the deceased through his thoughts, the subject became distressed, saying the voices were overwhelming. In every waking moment, his consciousness was bombarded refused to leave him alone. He frequently threw himself against the wall, trying to elicit a pain response. He begged the scientists for sedatives, so he could escape the voices by sleeping. This tactic worked for three days, until he started having severe night terrors. The subject repeatedly said that he could see and hear the deceased in his dreams oices by hundreds of voices that Only a day later, the subject began to scream and claw at his non-functional eyes, hoping to sense something in the physical world. The hysterical subject now said the voices of the dead were deafening and hostile, speaking of hell and the end of the world. At one point, he yelled "No heaven, no forgiveness" for five hours straight. He continually begged to be killed, but the scientists were convinced that he was close to establishing contact with God. After another day, the subject could no longer form coherent sentences. Seemingly mad, he started to bite off chunks of flesh from his arm. The scientists rushed into the test chamber and restrained him to a table so he could not kill himself. After a few hours of being tied down, the subject halted his struggling and screaming. He stared blankly at the ceiling as teardrops silently streaked across his face. For two weeks, the subject had to be manually rehydrated due to the constant crying. Eventually, he turned his head and, despite his blindness, made focused eye contact with a scientist for the first time in the study. He whispered "I have spoken with God, and he has abandoned us" and his vital signs stopped. There was no apparent cause of death. Acker appears to be compliant, but she apparently took too long to sit down after being told to sit down.Walker proceeded to give her a little encouragement to sit down and shoved her into the chair with excessive force. In response the handcuffed girl then kicks the officer in the leg. In his report, Walker would make it seem like he was under attack and that she “kicked him in the groin area.” </p><p>After suffering a foot to his pant leg, Walker punched Acker in the chest. He then grabbed the tiny, handcuffed, and inebriated teen and body slammed her face first onto the hospital floor, injuring her neck and knocking out her teeth.</p><p>In one report, police claim that Walker “rolled her out of the chair to the floor.” In another report, police claim that Walker “escorted Ms. Acker to the floor.”</p><p>“This is a very violent attack on someone who is in handcuffs, who is partially restrained and tiny, and there’s just no need for it, You can’t have something like this, whether it happens 100 times, 10 times or one time. It’s unacceptable. It cannot be tolerated. As a patrol officer in particular, that’s part of the job, dealing with that without planting someone’s face in the floor.”<br/></p><p>Because Walker injured himself while body slamming the teen, he was advised of his rights as the victim by Colorado Springs Police Department. The department refuses to say whether or not Walker faced any discipline for his actions. He remains on regular duty.In the meantime, it will be the taxpayers of Colorado Springs who will foot the potential $500,000 bill for the lawsuit on Acker’s behalf. <a href="http://revolution-news.com/video-colorado-cop-body-slams-100lb-handcuffed-teen-face-first/">[article]</a></p></blockquote> <p>If there was only a few bad apples, shouldn’t all of his coworkers be calling for his head?</p></blockquote> <p>He picked her up with just one arm.
