Ass, Birthday, and Christmas: A What's the rudest thing a guest has 5173 ever done in your home? (self.AskReddit) posted to AskReddit 4 hours ago by nl1004 2303 comments sorted by top DONE HIDE A PREV NEXT V A Jombafomb 19496 points 3 hours ago x2 Everyone has a story from their childhood that still pisses them off, this is mine. I was five years old and my snotty older cousin was over at our house. I had just gotten a copy of Mike Tyson's Punch out for my birthday. He was getting his ass kicked by king hippo and he got so angry he rage quit. But he didn't just rage quit, he ripped the cartridge out of the Nintendo and spit into it. Then he threw it across the room and stormed out. I told my parents what happened and they told his parents and they made him apologize, but the game was ruined. It would kind of play, but would freeze up all the time. My family barely had enough money to get me the game for my birthday never mind buying it again. I was sure I would never be able to play it again Then for Christmas this little shit got Mike Tyson's Punch Out. So my older brother went over to his house and switched our ruined cartridge with his. It was awesome. A Jombafomb 13320 points 7 hours ago x2 I could write a book with tales of his awesomeness. When I was 12 he snuck me out of the house in the middle of the night to see The Foo Fighters (before they were the biggest band on earth) At the end of their set William Goldsmith (their drummer at the time) threw his sticks into the crowd and my brother dove headfirst and emerged victoriously with the sticks over his head a minute later. He gave them to me as a memento of my first real rock show. I put one in his coffin and the other I still have to this day. We still fought all the time like brothers do, but no one could mess with me so long as he was around Redditor shares a few heartwarming stories about his elder brother. via /r/wholesomememes https://ift.tt/2QSr17M

Crazy, Dumb, and Food: The Hill @thehill Follow Restaurants in Austin now banned from throwing away food hill.cm/GarAUL3 5:40 PM 2 Oct 2018 TEXAS @UTProbs Follow Austin, TX just banned restaurants from throwing away uneaten food. They have to donate the food to people, send it to local animal farms, or compost it It's crazy that ppl are upset about this... THIS. IS. A. GOOD. THING The Hill thehill Restaurants in Austin now banned from throwing away food hill.cm/GarAUL3 ヒ, 12:16 PM 3 Oct 2018 600 e蒘40. 6,025 Retweets 16,640 Likes spillybun: greater-than-the-sword: orangehatposts: patron-saint-of-smart-asses: I would rather that giving away unused food would be an option rather than obligatory, but I’m interested to see how this plays out. Always seemed dumb that they just threw it away, having them be forced to donate it isn’t good but I suppose it’s better than nothing? Would be better to give them incentive like a tax break or something if they donate their uneaten but still perfectly edible food The use of force is (most likely) unnecessary, all you have to do is remove their legal liability for donating it and they will. Also yeah a tax break I love how they’re acting like restaurants are just greedy and chose to throw out all the food instead of it being the government that was keeping them from doing charity, as the government often does because the government wants to be the one people are forced to rely on for what they need. “The government made it harder to do something! Clearly the answer here is more government!”

Blessed, Books, and Driving: Forbes 30Defining and driving the world THE 2019 of news and content 30 Under 30 2019: Meet The Millennials Changing The Face Of Media Betches Media Cofounders, Betches Media is botov al Since launching Betches in 2011 as a WordPress blog, CEO Aleen Kuperman, COO Samantha Fishbein and CCO Jordana Abraham have turned the women's lifestyle and entertainment site into a full-fledged multimedia company, expanding into podcasts, live events, newsletters and books. In 2017, Betches' revenue exceeded $5 million, Forbes estimates. So blessed. So moved. So grateful. BUT REALLY. We know it’s not typical for us to get personal in an instagram post but for anyone who’s ever wondered what goes into this account and the company behind it we’ll break our rule this one time. When we started Betches we had literally no idea what we were doing or what we wanted to get out of it. Being a female entrepreneur was not necessarily the “trendy” and exalted path that it is now, and lots of people, especially men told us along the way we couldn’t get to where we are bc we didn’t have this this or that, or do things the traditional way, or have the same vision as they did. Well, it’s true we didn’t have money, or mentors, or any business education between the three of us, and ya, we said fuck a lot. We hope that we can inspire any young woman out there who currently doubts herself and wonders if she’ll ever be able to do it (whatever it is) - the answer is yes, you can. We’re so thankful to our team and all the work you’ve put in to help us get here. Let’s fucking drink. @samifish @aleen @jordanaabraham
