Africa, America, and Dancing: August 21 ok so I know this is going to sound sour puss but watching America Got Talent and well it is America not India and there jumping dance, or Africa and the dancing choir or songs, or Romania and there family pile up but America and American talent. you dont see China has talent with Americans, you don't see Britain has Talent with Americans...so why do we see America has talent with outsiders taking away from Americans yet again..some really good talent just left the show to people from other countries who dont have Americans in their competitions. Not trying to be Racist or Mean or Hater just asking why? Do we as Americans not have enough talent to host a show of just Americans?? Meaning People who live here and work here and are true Americans? i 3 4 Comments September 11 at 9:45 PM once again watching AMERICAS GOT TALENT and so disappointed that AMERICANS are not winning...really a bunch of Indians jumping around and doing tricks is the first group through??? Really?? so you are telling us that we Americans have no talent??? most of the acts in the finally are not even Americans so why not rename the show someone or everyone in the world has talent other than Americans.....it is not like this in other countries they are only for those in their county...step up America and stand our ground we have talent....and that money and show should stand for Americans not groups and people coming from over seas.... no matter how boring summer season is I will never watch this show again. just my opinion..what is yours. 2 8 Comments “Not trying to be racist” - someone that has entirely too much opinion on who’s worthy of being on a TV show with America in the title

On Friday, most likely after his appearance at the NBA Celebrity All-Star game, Cannon took to social media to set the record straight, and the real reason has nothing to do with mental health. Initially, Cannon laughed at the claims saying “Look y’all, the media thinks I’m going crazy LOL.” Pressed further, however, Cannon revealed that he’s “standing up for himself” and the media fears any man who chooses to do so. America, Community, and Facebook: NICK CANNON FROM (ANT got #AG cagt IDK. CO THIS BET EREASON? DUI @Regrann from @chididdy26 - “As a man, an artist, and a voice for my community, I will not be silenced.” America might still have talent, but Nick Cannon will no longer be overseeing it. The “Drumline” actor, who has hosted NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” for the past eight seasons, announced in a lengthy Facebook post Monday that he would not be returning to the reality competition series. Cannon made the decision to exit the franchise amid controversy over a racially charged joke he told in his recent Showtime stand-up special “Stand Up, Don’t Shoot.” According to Cannon, executives at NBC believed he “disparaged the brand” and later threatened to terminate his contract. “After days of deliberating over some extremely disappointing news that I was being threatened with termination by Executives because of a comedy special that was only intended to bring communities closer together, I was to be punished for a joke,” he wrote on Instagram and Facebook. “This has weighed heavy on my spirit. It was brought to my attention by my ‘team’ that NBC believed that I was in breach of contract because I had disparaged their brand. In my defense, I would ask how so? Or is this just another way to silence and control an outspoken voice who often battles the establishment.” In his stand-up special, which premiered on Showtime Friday, Cannon reportedly riffs on his experience hosting “America’s Got Talent” and how the series has changed his core fanbase. “I honestly believe, once I started doing ‘America’s Got Talent,’ they took my real n****r card. They did! Because then, like, these type of people started showing up to my shows,” Cannon said in the special, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I can’t do the real n*****r stuff no more, because then they’ll put me on TMZ.” He also added that NBC stood for “N****r Better Come on” and that the network didn’t allow him to speak freely at risk of losing “white money.” “I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn’t have to, but as a man, an artist, and a voice for my community, I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property,” he continued in the post. “There is no amount of

Now for the rug to be pulled from underneath me and to be publicly reprimanded and ridiculed over a joke about my own race is completely wrong and I have to do something about it, I have fought many battles in my career and have never been afraid to go up against the system. I have mulled over my process for days and felt it was best to once again speak my mind about an unjust infrastructure that treat talent like they own them, Maybe it was my mistake for signing the contract in the first place, in which will take full responsibility and have already taken action to restructure my own team of advisors. I now have to set out on a journey of freedom as an artist. As Iwas quoted in a recent interview, "You can't fire a Boss and that is the essence that Ipossess. So h AGT and Nec the best in its upcoming season butican not see myself returning. As of lately i have even questioned it want to even be apart of an industry who ultimately treats artists in this manner Most of us don't realize that there are 6 major corporations that control 90 percent of me in America and the amount of minority executives is dismal with this being the case, true equality in our industry is impossible. There wil always be a do asi say mentality that mirrors society's perception of men and minorities, and onl a few will stand up against it. I proudly stand as one of those few, and will gladly take on whatever repercussions that come with e art and entertainment too much to watch it be ruined by controlling corporations an business. believe It's our duty as artists to make a difference and create change even if it's one act at a best, Our lives begin to end the time.
