Charles Oakley Ban Lifted, Oakley Wants Apology From Dolan - blogged by: @eleven8 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just like that, CharlesOakley is once again allowed within the walls of MadisonSquareGarden. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ JamesDolan banned Oakley from MSG following an altercation during last Wednesday’s Knicks game. MichaelJordan and NBA commissioner AdamSilver met with Dolan Monday in an attempt to intervene in what Silver calls a “disheartening” situation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “It is beyond disheartening to see situations involving members of the NBA family like the one that occurred at Madison Square Garden this past week,” Silver said in a statement. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to Silver, both parties appear to be apologetic and it appeared as if things could be ironed out in the near feature. Apparently, everything seems to be okay, because the Knicks legend is now allowed to return to the Garden as Dolan’s guest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Oakley, though happy with the outcome, isn’t ready to return just yet. He tells The Dan Le Batard Show that right now he is “hurt,” and that he’s already told Silver he won’t return yet. In the meantime, Oakley is asking for an apology, not just for him, but for the fans of New York. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “It’s not about being at the Garden,” Oakley told ESPN’s Jeff Goodman. “It’s about the fans. I want them to apologize to the fans. I told the commissioner I want them to apologize to the fans.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He tells the Dan Le Batard Show, “I have never asked for nothing. I love the fans in New York. They’ve been supportive. One of the things I told the commissioner, I want to have a press conference and I want him to apologize to me and the fans. They’ve had my back and they’ve felt the pain. I really appreciate the people all around who’ve had my back.”: Charles Oakley Ban Lifted, Oakley Wants Apology From Dolan @balleralert Charles Oakley Ban Lifted, Oakley Wants Apology From Dolan - blogged by: @eleven8 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just like that, CharlesOakley is once again allowed within the walls of MadisonSquareGarden. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ JamesDolan banned Oakley from MSG following an altercation during last Wednesday’s Knicks game. This is my story and not the guys in the meme. A few month ago I had a broken bone and went in for surgery. I woke up during the operation, definitely the most frightening feeling I have felt, trying to communicate but physically not being able, I couldn't move or open my eyes. I could hear everything the doctors were saying and felt everything they were doing but without the pain just pressure and discomfort. I was panicking in my own mind and kept thinking to myself there is no way I can go through this entire opp without them knowing I'm awake. Mentally I knew I had to calm myself down. I noticed that my diaphragm was moving as I was breathing so I held my breath as this was the only thing I could think of doing to give the doctors some indication that I could feel and hear what was happening. This worked, they noticed, as after the only thing I remember was waking up. My body just doesn't seem to take anaesthetics and medications very well. The nurse told me afterwards that whilst they thought I was sleeping he noticed a tear running down my cheek and from that knew something wasn't right as he had never seen this before. He cried himself for me, after I explained to him the whole of their conversations that I had heard. The whole medical staff were obviously very apologetic and couldn't understand how it had happened but it happened. So when I say mind always over matter I mean MIND OVER MATTER no matter what😉✌️❤️ oh and the guy in the meme his surgery was a planned local anaesthetic to show how far open heart surgery has come, kind of like a C section some of us lady's have to go through❤️: Swaroup Anand, 23, was awake during cardiac surgery performed at the Bangalore Fortis Hospital, in India. Ishared I love his reasoning - perfect! C.S. Lewis on Reasoning to Atheism "Supposing there was no intelligence behind the universe, no creative mind. In that case, nobody designed my brain for the purpose of thinking. It is merely that when the atoms inside my skull happen, for physical or chemical reasons, to arrange themselves in a certain way, this gives me, as a by-product, the sensation I call thought. But, if so, how can I trust my own thinking to be true? it's like upsetting a milk jug and hoping that the way it splashes itself will give you a map of London. But if I can't trust my own thinking, of course I can't trust the arguments leading to Atheism, and therefore have no reason to be an Atheist, or anything else. Unless I believe in God, I cannot believe in thought: so I can never use thought to disbelieve in God." -C.S. Lewis The Case for Christionity,p 32 | this is great!! It is the result of millions of years of adaptation and honing. As we don't have big daws, natural armor or wings, humans rely on thinking for survival. If there were massive errors in the way we process information and make judgements upon which our survival hangs, we wouldn't be able to live and reproduce, and thus the human race would not exist. 20:15 (2 seconds ago) · Like - Reply |We can rely on our thinking to be true by observing the world, forming a hypothesis, testing it and looking at the results. If the results differ from our hypothesis, we adjust our thinking to account for the new information. If the results match our hypothesis, then our thinking was accurate.
