This one was really close between Giannis and Jokic, but I gave The Greek Freak the edge because he made the adjustment of playing point guard, and blossomed from a solid role player to a super star franchise player this year. He's been extremely fun to watch, and there's not really a player you can compare him to because... well he's a freak. He's in the making of being a once in a generation player. On top of that, he's leading his team in all 5 stat categories. • Honorable Mentions: James Johnson, Myles Turner, Devin Booker Bradley Beal and Harrison Barnes - nba nbadebate debate giannisantetokounmpo nikolajokic dennisschroder: Most Improved Player Prediction IG: @nba debate16 Schroder Jokic Giannis ATLANTA This one was really close between Giannis and Jokic, but I gave The Greek Freak the edge because he made the adjustment of playing point guard, and blossomed from a solid role player to a super star franchise player this year. I have made this comparison a few times before, and now it's really starting to dawn on me. Why is Isaiah Thomas being brought up as a MVP candidate and John Wall not? John Wall runs that Washington Wizards team on both sides of the floor, and has made players like Porter, Gortat Beal, Morris (their whole starting 5!!) look like a team capable of a deep playoff run, considering they are in the East. The Wizards have no depth, but because of John Wall playing the way he's playing, he's made the Wizards starting 5 scary to go against, and they are beating tough teams and playing other top teams hard. Now don't get me wrong, Isaiah Thomas is one of the best players this year, but if people are saying he's their number 4, or 5 pick for MVP, then John Wall should be right there too.
