Apparently, Bones, and Family: 14-Year-Old Boy Who Traveled To Miami From Cuba To Remove 10-Pound Tumor From His Face, Has Died @balleralert 14-Year-Old Boy Who Traveled To Miami From Cuba To Remove 10-Pound Tumor From His Face, Has Died - blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last month, a 14-year-old and his family traveled to Miami from Cuba to remove a 10-pound tumor from his face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Back in September, a Miami specialist offered to assist in the removal of the large tumor after learning of the young boy’s story. Emanuel Zayas was diagnosed with polyostotic fibrous dysplasia, which reportedly replaces bones with fibrous tissue. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At age 11, what physicians believed to be a pimple, turned out to be an ossifying fibroma- which has since grown into a 10-pound tumor. According to reports, the tumor began to affect Zayas’ breathing, as well as the bone structure of his face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although Cuban doctors refused to perform the risky surgery, a specialist at UHealth-University of Miami Health System offered his assistance. In turn, the family flew out to Miami, grateful to God that the specialist agreed to work on their son’s potentially fatal tumor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, since then, the family has confirmed that Zayas has unfortunately passed in the wake of the 12-hour procedure. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I am saddened by the fact that we are losing him and that the physiological stress of the surgery was apparently too much for his compromised anatomy," the chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery for the University of Miami Health System said in a statement to the Herald. "Our hopes of saving his life, and with that allowing him a better quality of life, were not realized." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Our condolences and prayers for Emanuel's family and the loss of a very brave young man," Marx said, according to NBC 6. "Another angel has arrived in heaven."

Black Lives Matter, Memes, and Protest: DEAR WHTE WOMEN OVARE WE GONG TO FIX WHAT WE HAVE DONE DEAR WHITE WOMEN ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 Repost @kidd.bell: “Standing in a sea of pink pussy hats for the second year in a row I’m struck by how many well-intentioned women are still missing the mark. We have to start using our voices and our outrage to protest more than just misogyny. Whether you voted for trump or not, you benefit from white supremacy on the daily. So ask yourself, what are you doing to actively dismantle it? Do you show up for Black Lives Matter the way you do for the Women’s March? Do you defend the rights of immigrants as much as you do your pussy? Do you call out racism with the same fervor that you proclaimed MeToo? White women are oppressed, but we are also oppressors. And if we truly want to dismantle this system, we must first hold ourselves accountable. ✊🏼” . . (update by @kidd.bell: to all those feeling massive outrage against this post - ask yourself why. Why does me acknowledging our privilege, and asking you to think about ways you can better serve WOC, upset you so much? If you are doing tons to help the marginalized then why aren’t you supporting this post, and demanding the same of others? Sitting in discomfort is how we grow. If this makes you feel attacked, then it probably means that you are the one who needs to hear it the most. And if you don’t want to listen to my words then, listen to Angela Davis. Read Women, Race + Class to learn more about accountability and how all oppression is connected.)

Bad, Family, and Friends: FUCKIT WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, BUT LIFE GOES ON. Did you know its completely OK to make mistakes? Read on… ✔️We learn from mistakes! The best way to learn is to experience life for ourselves and learn the natural consequences of our actions. This does not mean that we have to try everything to know better. After we develop critical-thinking skills, we can also observe the mistakes of others and see where their choices lead or anticipate possible outcomes. This can help us avoid major mistakes that can change the course of our life. ✔️When we know better, we do better. Making a mistake is not the end of the world. It just means that we can correct ourselves and start again. If you've hurt someone, apologize. If you've done something wrong, make it right. ✔️Your best is good enough. Forget trying to be perfect, and just do your best. Mistakes will still happen, but that is normal. Stop comparing yourself to the people at the gym, neighbors, friends, family members or co-workers. You may think they are perfect, but everyone has their flaws, regardless of how good they are at hiding them. ✔️Don't be hard on yourself for making mistakes. Focus on what you have learned and pat yourself on the back for correcting the wrong. Leave the past in the past and look toward to making better choices in the future. - Mistakes are essential for our growth and understanding of ourselves and the world. Whether it's our mistake or an error of a family member or friend, we need to realize that it does not make us, or them, bad people. We can learn, grow, change and start making better choices. Wrongs can be made right, and we can become our best self as we learn to be patient with ourselves. Remember, everyone makes mistakes, and it's normal. We can change. Goals, Life, and Memes: MILLIONAIRE MENTOR AN OPEN MIND WILL OPEN NEW DOORS Every week, sorry… Everyday! I get DM’s from people telling me how they want to achieve their goals and about how they often try but feel they're just getting not getting anywhere. 🤔 Amazingly, after talking to them and replying their messages I discover that they indeed have had plenty of opportunities presented to them, but they have closed their mind to the possibilities and their stubbornness prevents them from achieving their goals. When this happens. they greatly decrease the odds of any success. - ☝️You would stand a better chance of creating the life you want, growing as a human being and experiencing success regularly if you simple kept an OPEN mind. - How can a closed mind limit your chance for success? When you close your mind you essentially become stubborn and become a victim of the ego mind, you end up having an attitude that goes something like this: "This is what I want and I want it now. I'm not willing to try or accept anything else." This kind of attitude shuts you off from the process of life and nature - which is about growing and experiencing new possibilities. ✋ - 👉When you have an OPEN mind you allow yourself to attract opportunities and you insist on following up on opportunities, no matter how trivial they seem. Keeping an open mind means that you are open to all possibilities. This means that you don't say, “Oh that's not for me. There can't be anything good in that." Or "Why would I want to do that? That's not what I was looking for." Or "I won't even consider that." Let's remember one important factor tho! you don't know everything, and you don't always know what will or won't work out for you. If you never try something you'll never know what whether you like it or if it will work out for you. 😉 - mindset success motivation
