theglowpt2: almost HALF of all the border patrol agency members in america are part of a secret facebook group where they share memes mocking dead immigrants聽聽: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Following @AOC This just broke: a secret Facebook group of 9,500 CBP officers discussed making a GoFundMe for officers to harm myself & Rep. Escobar during our visit to CBP facilities & mocked migrant deaths This isn't about "a few bad eggs." This is a violent culture. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 9,500 CBP officers sharing memes about dead migrants and discussing violence and sexual misconduct towards members of Congress. @AOC 5h How on earth can CBP's culture be trusted to care for refugees humanely? PS I have no plans to change my itinerary & will visit the CBP station today. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez' There are 20,000 TOTAL Customs & Border Patrol agents in the US @AOC 5h 9,500 almost HALF that number - are in a racist & sexually violent secret CBP Facebook group. They're threatening violence on members of Congress. How do you think they're treating caged children+families? @AOC 3h Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez . Just left the 1st CBP facility. I see why CBP officers were being so physically &sexually threatening towards me. Officers were keeping women in cells w/ no water & had told them to drink out of the toilets. This was them on their GOOD behavior in front of members of Congress. theglowpt2: almost HALF of all the border patrol agency members in america are part of a secret facebook group where they share memes mocking dead immigrants聽聽

I met a former hotel executive last year. Nice British gentleman, polished, funny, quietly brilliant (obviously - running an internationally recognized hotel chain is no walk in the park). He came to America (Los Angeles). He was directed to the immigration office. He presented an English passport. He was told to come back the next day. He did. The immigration office tendered him a green card. That was it. So began the story of a man who came to America on a whim and built a company that continues to employ tens of thousands of Americans at all levels of income and has handed Uncle Sam millions (if not billions) of tax dollars. This is nothing if not the American Dream. Last week, a 7-year-old Guatemalan girl died, hours after she was taken into Border Patrol custody. Out of respect, the media will not report her name, so I will honor her by calling her Maria. Maria died of septic shock and dehydration. Before Maria鈥檚 death, her body temperature was measured at 105.7 degrees. The treatment to which my hotelier pal was afforded by this country in the 1950s was a bit different from the treatment Maria and many others showing up at our border experience. We are a great country. We have great people working for our federal government. We have been great in the past and we will be great in the future but God is sending us a message. Like children who die in classrooms of gun violence, children like Maria who die painful deaths trying to get to the promised land of America are examples upon which we must reflect. And we must change. We can do better. We simply have to. Bless up.: We don't have kids, so my wife and I took our dog around to look at lights in the neighborhood. Remembering US Marine Veteran & Border Patrol Brian Terry who was murdered by the guns Obama and Eric Holder sold to the cartel. Brian Terry use to read the poem below everyday specially the days he was going to go on a patrol. One Warrior鈥檚 Creed If today is to be THE DAY, so be it. If you seek to do battle with me this day you will receive the best that I am capable of giving. It may not be enough, but it will be everything that I have to give and it will be impressive for I have constantly prepared myself for this day. I have trained, drilled and rehearsed my actions so that I might have the best chance of defeating you. I have kept myself in peak physical condition, schooled myself in the martial skills and have become proficient in the application of combat tactics. You may defeat me, but you will pay a severe price and will be lucky to escape with your life. You may kill me, but I am willing to die if necessary. I do not fear Death, for I have been close enough to it on enough occasions that it no longer concerns me. But I do fear the loss of my Honor and would rather die fighting than to have it said that I was without Courage. So I WILL FIGHT YOU, no matter how insurmountable it may seem, and to the death if need be, in order that it may never be said of me that I was not a Warrior. Col. Steven R.
