Children, Club, and Dad: Cheko reacted quickly when he saw his owner get threatend with a knife in a domestic dispute, he dived in front of his mom to protect her. Here he is shown recovering from being stabbed 13 times. Four intruders, one armed with a shotgun broke into a family home where the father was threatened to open the family safe, when the dad of 3 didn't comply the indruder got ready to open fire where Lefty the pit bull jumped at him blocking the shot from his daddy and got a bullet wound to his shoulder. The intruder was injured by the dog and they all quickly fled from the scene. Baby, a 10 year old pit bull woke up her family in the middle of the night to alert them of a blazing fire that had broken out. Managing to avoid the vicious flames, one by one she woke up each family member and led them to safty. After putting her humans out of danger, she then ran back into the burning house to save the family's other five dogs, one of which was blind and too scared to go with her so she pulled the dog out by the scruff of the neck. The home was completely distroyed but thanks to Baby, no-one had a single burn. Cara was walking her dog, Creature one night and couldn't help but notice he had a lot of interest in a certain bush. Shrugging it of as he's just seen a cat, Creature carried on to pull and bark to alert his owner that something wasn't quite right. Cara finally went with her companions instinct and decided to check it out, where she found an elderly woman in her PJs on the ground, shivering from the cold. Who she found was Carmen Mitchell, 89, suffers from Alzheimer's and had wandered from her home. When Bella the pit bull mix was seen running into traffic and barking at pedestrians, she was thought to be just another stray. Teri was one of those pedestrians and decided the follow the mixed breed. Bella lead Teri to her home, where her wheelchair-bound owner was found on the floor with stab wounds in his neck while clinging to life. Her owner luckily survived and says that he owes his life to Bella for running to get help. I made this comp because the media only concerntrates on the badly-owned pit bulls then blame their breed for it for their actions. There's hundreds of stories about heroic pit bulls that saidly never make it to mainstream media as people seem to love an outrage. If this gets a good reaction then i'll put more up but i don't want to bore anyone for now. I have a pit bull who i took from a dog fighter when he was a puppy, even though he's been 'bred to fight' i've raised him right and in the 11 years of having him he's never hurt anyone and has given me nothing but happiness (and maybe a couple of chewed up shoes) Thanks for reading guys, i hope the world is a little more open- minded on this misunderstood yet lovable breed. malicemanaged: almostrose: helainetieu: I hope everyone reblogs this. For most of the 114 years since the American pitbull terrier was first recognized by the United Kennel Club, the breed was rightly seen as the perfect “nanny dog” for children because of its friendly nature, loyalty and stability. [x] Pit bulls have always been protectors. With good owners and proper care, they still are. Chako*, Lefty, Baby, Creature, and Bela are proof of that. Pitbulls are great dogs and anyone who says otherwise can fucking fight me

Alive, Animals, and Children: (Ja)ded @thefathippy 20h maooo000 Judy Harris Yesterday at 5:04 PM. 0+ Why the zoo charge us to look at animals they stole? this ain't even yall shit Sharon @MySharona1987 Replying to @thefathippy To be fair, they are doing a lot to help pandas screw. 4:56 AM- 11 Jul 2018 mysharona1987: little-butch-crouton: severelynerdysheep: somehavegonemissing: spookyboyfelix: princess-nakamoto: mysharona1987: No, seriously: I do think zoos do a *lot* of good. Much of the time. It’s not necessarily a Seaworld situation. Yeah a lot of animals don’t even have habitats anymore anyway. So zoos are just giving them a home. Even if people come to see them nearly everyday, its better then being kicked out of their habitat eventually by man. The funds from zoos are often used to feed the animals anyway (most zoos are non profit they cant use that money for people) if you pay to go to the zoo you are paying to keep those animals alive Zoos also educate people about animals, allowing for people to fall in love with the weird and wonderful. They help promote habitat preservation and putting a stop to poaching. Please don’t dismiss zoos, they’re not the same places as they used to be in the 1800s, or even the mid 1900s. So while Zoos are absolutely miles better than they were historical, there are still many serious issues. In terms of education, while I totally get why most people believe that zoos teach people (children especially) about how to protect animals and their habitats and are great places of education, this is not actually the case. In reality viewing captive animals in zoos only teaches people how animals react to boredom, depression, and stress in captive situations. The most effective methods of education in zoos come via presenting videos, documentaries, interactive modules, graphic displays, and computer simulations. which all show animals in their natural environments and do not require any animals to actually be kept in zoos. In terms of the work Zoos to in regards to species conservation and habitat preservation, zoos really are not effective, especially compared to other conservation and preservation work. While there are zoos that do good conservation work, most of the significant conservation work is not from zoos but other organizations that work with wildlife and natural habitats. Most animals in captivity are not even classified as endangered, with the priority of Zoos being in getting hold of animals popular with visitors, rather than those who face extinction. When it comes to breeding programs (and breeding animals in captivity aren’t the best way to help in conservation)   zoos do spend plenty of money on these programs however half of the animals being bred by Zoos are not classed as endangered in the wild and 25% are not threatened species but ones popular with visitors. It’s also actually massively more expensive to keep animals captive in zoos than to protect equivalent numbers of them in the wild! When it comes to the research, few Zoos actually support meaningful scientific research (with fewer employing scientists with full-time research jobs) and of those that do employ scientists its common for these scientists to study free-living animals rather than those within the zoo. Due to the nature of any research that does take place in zoos, the results of this research also generates little information about how to best conserve species in the wild as studies of captive animals have limited benefits to animals in the wild and animals brought up in captivity are less likely to survive in the wild if reintroduced as they often don’t have the natural behaviors needed for survival in the wild. More effective methods of habitat preservation and species conservations would be a multipronged approach tackling habitat loss and climate change, investing in conservation programs in the wild, education, working with local communities, seriously addressing poaching etc. and also to move away from the Zoo model towards more ethical and effective models of species conservation.  Just a few of the other ethical issues with Zoos include surplus animals, who, when grow older, and are less attractive to patrons, will often be sold or killed. Animals who breed frequently also are sometimes sold to game farms and ranches where hunters pay to kill them and other surplus animals are sometimes sold to roadside zoos,, private individuals, animal dealers, or to laboratories for experimentation purposes. The animals not sold often end up being fed to other zoo animals. In terms of the health of these captive animals, many develop health conditions and mental health problems such as Zoochosis. Of course, a major problem with zoos as well is that the animals who live there are kept in enclosures that don’t allow them to live their lives in a natural way and don’t compare with the natural habitat the animals were meant to be in. Zoo animals have to spend day after day, week after week, year after year in the exact same enclosure. This makes their lives very monotonous. Take elephants, for example, elephants in the wild, are used to traveling many miles a day in herds of about ten related adults and their offspring but in zoos are usually kept in pairs or even isolated in incredibly small enclosures compared to what they are used to in the wild. Elephants kept in zoos often show many signs of being mental distress and the average lifespan of elephants in zoos is around 16-18 years, instead of the 50-70 years they can live in the wild. I’m just going to copy paste your response when people ask me what I’m going to school for. I’m very pro zoo and I want animals in their natural habitat just as much. This is genuinely quite an interesting discussion.

Anaconda, Animals, and Children: This is his Jokers first day on the job, and he's being such a good bay. Donald W. Cook is a Los Angeles attorney with decades of experience bringing lawsuits over police dog bites- and mostly losing. He blames what he calls "The Rin Tin Tin Effect"-ures think of poice dogs as nobe, and have trouble vaualzing how violant thay can be during an anst Policel use terms like 'apprehend' and restrain,' to try to portray it as a very antisaptic event," Cook says. "But you look at the video and the dog s chewing away on his leg and mutilating him Cook says the proliferation of smart phones and body cameras is capturing a reality that used to be lost on juries. "If it's a good video," he says, "it makes a case much easier to prevail on The new generation of videos is capturing scenes of K9 anrests that ar bloodier and more violent than imagined by the public. An NPR examination of police videos shows some officers using biting dogs against people who show minimal threat to officers, and a degree of violence that would be unacceptable it inflicted directly by the officers In fact, in many videos, the release of a dog appears to escalate the violence of an arrest You just look at the dog as the source of pain and you do everything you can to addiress that pain," says Seth Stoughton. He's a former police officer, now an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of South Carolina who studies police use of force. Those shouted commands- you'll deal with that later, when the pain stops. And yet suspects who kick and try to shake the dog off are often accused of resisting arrest. NPR (November 20, 2017 i don't care what this dog in particular is being trained to do. furthering the idea that police dogs are somehow cute or good directly contributes to injustice and the perceived acceptability of police violence My aunt rescues and rehabilitates geman shepherds, and the vast majority are failad police dogs. The rehab process for these dogs is intense. They are trained to be hyper vigilant and to resort to violence. They are aften is worse condition than formerly abused animals I spent a summer training one of these balls of anxioty. She was too fast and strong for my aunt to train her, so l did it. The biggest hurdle was getting her out of the mindset that biting someone gets her a treat. I had to let her bite my arm, forcible breek the hold, and kennel her all without giving her a response because these dogs are trained to equate someone screaming at them as Go Time. By letting her attack me and showing her that I was stronger than her and then not allowing her to play with the other dogs was what finally got her to stop attacking whenever she heard a loud nolse or was surprised or just felt like it She still had to be homed in a gun-free, pet-free, child-free home because of the sheer anxiety she was bred for. These dogs are not cute, they are horribly esbiengender My mom did the exact opposite of what the person above is talking about, she was involved in training the dogs not to restrain themselves when attacking. She was 18-21 and they had her wear this thick glove and then provoke the dogs onto biting her anm. She sald thay didn't naturally want to be very aggressive tawards a 100 pound, 83" girl, which is the size my mother was at the time. She has scars on her arm from getting time to bite so hard it broke the protective gloves I remember thinking that was cool as a kid. Now I just find it hoifying that they were teaching dogs to use brutal force against... children. My mother may have been a young adult at the time but most people are 100 pounds and 53* as teenagers, not adults What are short, skinny teens even doing that warrants the use of dogs? Can a grown man with a gun really not subdue someone that size on their own?7 It's animal abuse used to further police brutality Yeah. This pup isn't cute, it's being trained to by exceptionally dangerous. If he fails (and chances are he will he will be in for a very kong recovery. If he passes then when he gets older and can no longer work, they will merely outhanize him since rehablitating him at ton will be too much work These dogs are exceedingly dangerous, suiffered years of abuse at the hands of their handlers and trainers, and are quite simply not 'adorable', oven 'on their first day' secing as we know what abuses they are in for. Thay're trained to do as much damage as possible, even against peaple who are no threat to begin with. And if the person tries to fight the dog off, as any person might, the dog is trained to escalate. If the person screams, struggles, or attempts to defend themselves, the dog is trained to escalate Read that again. Ta peron per any nomnel umen pain-recporcec n eporee to being biten and chewed by a dog, the dog hac been taned to do een MOve dlamage, In videos they are often forcibly remaved from the victim by an officer who is wearing gear to protect them from the dog because thay will not stop, and they are too dangerous for the officer to pull them away without heavy protective gear. That’s the thing. People were never sheltered from death. Their grandpa would die. Their dad would die. Their horse would die. Their mule would die. They pup would die. That was life 100+ years ago. Now we shelter all the bb’s from death and are they happier or more well adjusted? 🤔 FVCK NAH ... We’re less well adjusted than we ever been 😂. Don’t worry. Five or six year old doggie ain’t finna die tmrow plus he was already in a home before coming to the shelter so he or she usually house trained. No seasoning or just salt. I think we should mock japanese people too. Generalize them as having no taste or ability to cook. And laugh at them if they say it’s racism or childish. The difference is white people colonized—raped, stole and destroyed—other cultures for these seasonings…that they don’t even use ☺️therein lies the irony. Also…not the point of the post…the point is, making fun of white people’s weird shit does not equal racism. I said what I said ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So staaahp trolling and go read a book maybe. Lady, i have 2 degrees on this. I literally have walls of books on the history of food. White people didnt rape, colonize, steal, or destroy anymore than the Chinese did. And i doubt you would be okay saying this about Asians. People tended to use less seasoning back ghen because food was bred and grown differently. Things like chicken and beef had way more natural flavor, so additional seasonings werent really needed. In fact, for some places, seasonings were typically used by the poor, who were left with bad tasting scraps. Other places had them solely for the rich, since non native spices were incredibly expensive. Just like with Japanese culture, food culture in European cultures are often rely on tradition. Traditional methods are used, even if obsolete from newly available ingredients. It’s why old traditional methods of wine and cheese making are still used today. In fact, simple flavors and limited seasonings are available in a large amount of African dishes. The whole “white people dont season their food” stereotype originated in the US, and is clearly wrong, since European immigrants brought over tons of well seasoned and loved food like pizza, sausages, gyros, literally a ton of well known french dishes. I mean most southern cuisine came from French immigrants, and African slaves and paid servants (who at the time didnt even have access to most spices) simply copied those. The only real nuance is the addition of peppers and things like nutmeg and corn (originating in the americas) which European immigrants had already been using in their recipes. ( Actual soul food that can be entirely credited to African Americans is limited). The point is that the caricature of white people’s cooking being unseasoned is a very real part of reality for other cultures. Japan prides its traditional food with simplistic flavors. As in minimal or no seasoning. So any mocking you have for white people, equally (if not moreso) applies to the Japanese. You clearly don’t think it’s okay to say these same things to Asians, so it is clear that it isnt the action itself that you have a problem with, but the race doing it. Youre a racist. You think just because you mr opinions are popular and other bad activists are on your side, that you are in the right. I think we know from history that a popular opinion isnt always the right one. I’ve seen how you reply to other people who disagree with you and it is so childish. You just tell them to read a book or go to a library without considering their knowledge on the subject. I am here to tell you that i am much more knowledgable than you are on this subject. You are just making up stuff to excuse the fact that you dont like white people. https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2015/03/26/394339284/how-snobbery-helped-take-the-spice-out-of-european-cooking I literally cannot make this shit up lol. 😂 your degrees are obviously for naught. Also..the British and Europe DID colonize these areas…which included the aforementioned atrocities. Not racist. Just have a grasp on history. Get one. How Snobbery Helped Take The Spice Out Of European Cooking I dont think you even read this. It clearly states that while Indians (and it only relies on indians, not the mentioned Japanese or really any other Asian country) focus on curry, while Europeans often focused on gravies and sauces. Italian sauces for instance relied on fresh herbs (not spices), while French sauces relied more on stocks. Once dried peppers came over, many countries used paprika to season their stews, and others regularly used rosemary, bayleaf, thyme, and pepper. It’s really odd that you would compare any country’s use of spice to India’s. Essentially anyone’s would use less spice in comparison. In fact, as shown in the link, India is known for contrasting flavors using odd spice combinations that most countries (including non european) would never use. It doesnt really prove your point. It just shows that you really dont understand how these things work. Your grasp of history is poor, because according to your other posts, you actually think white people invented racism. You keep mentioning atrocities Europeans committed and act like they are the only ones who did them, which gives you permission to be racist. You are the one who doesnt understand history. And you do not understand food culture among European countries. You are just driven by stereotypes and opinion peices. Hungarian paprika chicken Beef bourguignon Roasted gyro meat Just because they dont have spice blends with 30 components like many indian masalas, doesnt mean they arent seasoned. As someone who has made these dishes (and many others from various countries), and as someone with more education on the subject, I am here to tell you that you are wrong, misonformed, and racist. “the difference between white people and japanese people is that white people colonized, raped stole and destroyed, japanese people didn’t” sometimes i don’t even know what to say to shit like that. i… i can’t “HAHA WYPIPO TAKE JOKES SO SURIUS!”  *later*  “the difference between white people and japanese people is that white people colonized, raped stole and destroyed, japanese people didn’t““ the difference between white people and japanese people is that white people colonized, raped stole and destroyed, japanese people didn’t Yes. Hello. Korea and China both wanna have a word with you. Lmaoooo imagine denying Japanese colonialism. Like holy shit some of that happened in living memory.
