My thinking- as well as the general population's views- on the issue has evolved, and so I believe there's no better time than the present to get this done.
slartibartfaast:

libertarirynn:

Look I’m not happy that I have to agree with Senator Schumer on something but here we are.

MJs are a gateway drug. Kill Bill: GOP Healthcare Bill Has Been Pulled Of The House Floor - blogged by: @eleven8 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That’s it, that’s cancelled! Republicans have decided to move on to other issues and will be leaving Obamacare as is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to USAToday, House speaker PaulRyan decided to cancel the vote on the GOP bill which would replace Obamacare because he did not have enough votes from his own Republican party to pass the legislation. This news comes after it was revealed 30-40 Republicans were going to shut down the legislation at the vote, initially scheduled for Thursday. The bill has officially been pulled from the House floor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "We came really close today, but we came up short," Ryan said at a press conference. "I will not sugarcoat this: this is a disappointing day for us. Doing big things is hard." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Obamacare is the law of the land," Ryan continued. "It’s going to remain the law of the land." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The House will now go on to concern themselves with tax reform, border control and other issues. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some are blaming Trump’s inability to close the deal on the new healthcare bill failing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "They can’t write policy that actually makes sense, they can’t implement the policies they do manage to write, they can’t get their stories straight, and today we’ve learned that they can’t close a deal, and they can’t count votes," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, (D) New York, said. "So much for the Art of the Deal." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just a week ago, DonaldTrump took to Twitter to criticize Obamacare, otherwise known as the AffordableCareAct. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “ObamaCare is imploding,” Trump tweeted. “It is a disaster and 2017 will be the worst year yet, by far! Republicans will come together and save the day.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I guess that wasn’t the case.: Kill Bill: GOP Healthcare Bill Has Been Pulled Of The House Floor @balleralert LIVE CAPITOL HILL HC HEALTHCARE BILL PULLED BREAKING NEWS ak CNBC Kill Bill: GOP Healthcare Bill Has Been Pulled Of The House Floor - blogged by: @eleven8 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That’s it, that’s cancelled! President Trump hit twitter this morning stating, “Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster – is imploding fast!”. The revised and detailed plan, would dismantle several components of the 2010 law and create a new tax credit tied to an individual’s age and income to help Americans buy insurance if they don’t get it at work. People under 30 would be eligible for a credit of $2,000 a year, increasing to $4,000 for those over 60 years old. The size of a tax credit would grow with the size of a family, but would be capped at $14,000. The plan would also end the requirement that Americans have health coverage or be fined and a mandate that larger employers provide health insurance to workers.. House Republican leaders are working to have the bill passed through Congress by mid April. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer hit back on the plan saying, “Trumpcare doesn’t replace the Affordable Care Act, it forces millions of Americans to pay more for less care.”: POLITICS REPEALING OBAMACARE Mar. 7 Republicans release their version of healthcare legislation coined American Health Care Act.
