Apparently, Asian, and Bitch: Detroit Rep. Bettie Cook Scott orn Asian opponent: Don't vote for the ching-chong! by Violet lkonomova August 16, 2018 at 11:09 AM comment v bizarre-transmission: thettasigma: ferventfox: awesome-everyday: internetdumpsterfires: Black people can’t be racist. Ugh, okay. The remark by this black woman was disrespectful and based on race. It was rude, bigoted and uncalled for. But no, in an anti black world, black people do not have the social, political or systemic financial power to be racist. Racism implies that beyond hurting and insulting that asian woman that this black woman is connected to a system that has the power to negatively impact this woman’s existence. That dark skinned black woman who’s an incumbent running for state office likely has about the same amount of systemic power as i do. And furthermore, there could be an argument made that deteoit is chocolate city and perhaps she does have that infrastructure of black networks to truly effect her opponent, but idk I was in Detroit last year and it looks a lot like Brooklyn does now. White and gentrified. White people with money, who control our political systems, finances, and predominant social narratives are claiming urban space like they’re colonizing pioneers looking to take the new world. Detroit isn’t the same anymore. Anyway, black people can be shitty insensitive bigots but we do not have the social capital to be racist, particularly not in the united states. “That dark skinned black woman who’s an incumbent running for state office likely has about the same amount of systemic power as i do.” Ahahaha: No. A congressperson is the definition of systemic power. You can’t bitch about lack of political power when we are talking about elected politician. Clearly the world isn’t so anti-black that it couldn’t vote her in. Chang is also a first generation American, while Scott, to my knowledge, is not, and she specifically made anti-immigrant comments. She also has “power” within the context of her own ethnic community and she used that power to direct racism towards other African-Americans who supported Chang by implying they were somehow traitors, essentially dictating how they ought to act based on their race, particularly Chang’s husband for his interracial marriage (I don’t give a flying fuck what race you are, negative comments about interracial marriage and mixed race people are racist. period. end of story). Even if I did accept the prejudice + power model or racism (which I don’t as that is neither the etymology or common usage of the word) Cook’s comments would certainly fit the bill. She made race based attacks on people based on types of marginalization that she is exempt from; and did so from a position of power partially gained by the fact that she is exempt from these types of discrimination. It’s racist. Stop making excuses. “That dark skinned woman who’s an incumbent running for office likely has about the same amount of systematic power as I do.” Is this person on drugs? They’re claiming that… A political person… A congresswoman… Has no power in the country in which she was elected… By the populace… As a politician. That, or they’re a politician too. Apparently we can say anything now and it makes sense. Huh. Also these remarks are the absolute epitomy of racism and if anyone refuses to see it, they’re not purely misinformed. They are delusional. *literally calls an Asian person ching chong*“How dare you say I’m being racist??” Thank you for attending today’s lecture on cognitive dissonance.

Friday, Memes, and School: Florida Middle School Teacher Removed From Class After Being Outed as White supremacist@balleralert Florida Middle School Teacher Removed From Class After Being Outed as White Supremacist – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A Florida middle school teacher was removed from her duties after school officials became aware of a white supremacist podcast she hosted under a different name. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to the Huffington Post, Dayanna Volitich had been hosting a podcast called “Unapologetic” under the name “Tiana Dalichov.” During the podcast, Volitich discussed her integration of white supremacy into her curriculum. She also talked about how she hid her views from school officials, as she shared anti-Semitic conspiracy theories while suggesting Muslims should be eradicated from the Earth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once Crystal River Middle School got word of Volitich’s hate-filled podcast, the school began to investigate. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “On Friday, March 2, 2018, the Citrus County School District was made aware of a concerning podcast by a Huffington Post reporter. The reporter indicated they believed one of the persons participating in the podcast was a teacher at Crystal River Middle School,” the school district said in a statement of Volitich’s white supremacy. “The Human Resources department was notified and an investigation was initiated immediately. The teacher has been removed from the classroom and the investigation is ongoing. Pursuant to Florida Statute an open investigation and materials related to it are exempt from public record and cannon be discussed until the investigation is complete.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also under the Dalichov pseudonym, Volitich was caught sharing and retweeting hate speech onto her social media accounts, where she claimed Islam “legitimizes” terrorist behavior, and retweeted and commented on posts by neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, and white supremacist. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ An investigation is underway.

Were it not breathing, the cat would commence to eat it.

FUN FACT

Omfg

That’s just blatantly untrue. While cats have been known to eat human corpses, it’s generally only when they’re starving and have no other food source.
Seriously, quit demonizing cats.

Nose touches (as you see here) are a cats way of saying hello. It’s a friendly greeting. It’s NOT checking for breath.

Laying on a human (as you see here) is literally cat cuddling. Thats it.

We have literal records of cats going out of their way to save the lives of children from various dangers, from fires, to dog attacks, to choking to death. Its very easy to look up.

The only cases of cats eating their humans, have always been when their human died and it has been several days without the body being found. Amazingly this tends to line up with the cat not being fed and therefore STARVING.

It’s also a common thing among most pet animals too? Like sorry, your dog will do it too. Hell, ever heard of the the Donner Party? Humans aren’t exempt. When faced with survival, you try and survive.

STOP DEMONIZING CATS FOR BEING ANIMALS.

(And I mean, all it takes is a quick google search to figure this out, but no lets spread misinformation about innocent animals?)

If you actually truly believe cats are out to get you, and are cold and not affectionate, or whatever else people use to justify demonizing cats… You need to actually look up cat behavior. Your cat who ‘ignores’ you? More often than not is just respecting your space. Your cat who lashes out? Probably not feeling safe in their environment. Your cat brings you gross things? Trying to look after you.

Cats aren’t dogs. They have a set way of communication, and while they can learn dofferent expressions of affection, it will always be less evident than with dogs (who are particularily malleable to human behavior.) This doesn’t mean they are any less loving or capable of bonds.

All it takes is a quick google search to figure out why your cat does what they do. And literally, no cat intrinsically wants to eat babies.

are you kidding me, cats are super protective of small children. they’ve been known to attack dogs, snakes, alligators and grown-ass men if they thought a child was in danger. a stray cat in russia saved an abandoned baby from hypothermia by cuddling him, alerted people to his presence and tried following the freaking ambulance that took him to the hospital. they are very sweet and patient with babies and there are tons of adorable videos out there to prove it.

IF I EVER HEAR ANYONE TALKING SHIT ABOUT KITTIES I SWEAR

“cats are not dogs”

And there’s the rub. People have issues with cats because they’re mad they don’t act like dogs. They are a different animal and they relate and communicate differently. That doesn’t make them worse pets or evil or something.

College, Community, and Facts: My name is Roger Goodale, and I am the commissioner of the NFL I made $44.2 million in 2012, an exorbitant salary that regular taxpayers subsidized because the NFL is "nonprofit" and therefore tax-exempt. Please share this image if you agree that any so-called "nonprofit" that pays its top executives more than 10 times the American median wage should lose its tax- exempt status. www.DemoNews.org
Ah yes, The favorite liberal meme designed to prick at your outrage sensors and make sure you don’t ever actually pay attention to what you’re looking at.

Every dollar of income that is earned in the National Football League — from game tickets, television rights fees, jersey sales and national sponsorships — is subject to tax. None of this income is shielded in a tax-exempt entity. Instead, the NFL’s 32 clubs pay tax on all of these revenues.
Claims that the NFL is using a tax exemption to avoid paying the tax due on these revenues are simply misinformed. The confusion arises from the fact that there is one small part of the NFL, unrelated to all this business activity, that is tax-exempt: the NFL League Office. The league office is the administrative and organizational arm of the NFL and does things like write the rules of the game, hire referees, run the college draft, negotiate the collective bargaining agreement with the players, conduct player safety research, and run youth football programs.

The league office acts as a trade association for the NFL clubs. In the same way that other trade associations support companies in other lines of business, it establishes rules and standard practices for its members, develops programs to help them run their operations more efficiently and profitably, and promotes the business in the broader community. Trade associations are nonprofit organizations. They don;t engage in any business activity. As a result, they are exempt from being taxed under section 501©(6) of the federal tax code. (Charities are exempt under section 501©(3); the NFL League Office has never claimed to be a charity.)

Because the league office does not receive income from game tickets, television contracts and the like, its tax exemption does not apply to any of the profits earned in the NFL overall. All the money-making activity is conducted by the for-profit, taxable teams.

The vast majority of the NFL’s income has always been taxed, and what little tax-exempt status they did have they gave up in 2015.

Sources:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/nflexempt.asp
http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2015/04/why-the-nfl-decided-to-start-paying-taxes/391742/

But hey, don’t let something like facts stop you from railing against “Muh evil capitalism”.

What fucking paycheck?! The one for $290/week, if they’re working full-time? The one with no benefits? It must be nice to be a smug asshole making enough green to think simply paying less in taxes is a solution to slave wages; because that is what minimum wage is. If it had kept pace with inflation, it would be $21.16/hour. $15/hr. is meeting in the middle. Get a clue.

Having actually worked several minimum wage hours when I was younger, I can honestly say I got paid a fair wage for work I was doing. I of course wanted to earn more so I could spend my money on more stuff, so I worked hard and earned a raise. Despite this, the government always took out about 17% of my weekly earnings without my permission which did limit my spending each pay period.

So, yes, I did understand the solution - I did not want to keep working for minimum wage to receive minimum pay so I worked my way to a higher wage or found new jobs that paid more. Pretty simple concept.

Oh, and the minimum wage has nothing to do with keeping up with inflation, you fool.

Yeah, I’ve worked minimum wage jobs myself when I was younger - a number of them. I thought the pay was disgraceful for the amount of labor involved. Luckily, I had plenty of opportunities to earn degrees and find better paying jobs myself. I even started my own business and have been successful enough to provide a middle class lifestyle for my family in a country where that is increasingly harder to accomplish. The difference here is that I understand that I am where I am today because of privilege and circumstances not available to everyone in our country. Yes, I’ve worked my ass off to get where I am. I work hard every week as a teacher, and as the owner of a retail business. But I don’t kid myself into thinking my labor is somehow harder than the single mom working at McDonald’s. I’ve been there. Those jobs suck. I also don’t buy into this false narrative that equates wealth with harder work. If anything, I’ve noticed that the more money people earn, the less work they tend to do, because they usually end up getting others to work for them. People in the wealthiest nation on earth should not put in 40 hours a week for a poverty wage and no benefits that in turn require taxpayers to subsidize them, so they can survive. How can you not see that? How have you bought into this fantasy to the point that you think corporations making obscene profits at the expense of their employees and WE the TAXPAYERS are somehow in the right for fucking us all over, while getting you to bash the hardworking people who make their profits possible?

As to your last comment about the minimum wage and inflation - why not? People are all different. They start at different places, they have different skills, different qualities, different personalities, different physical characteristics, different lifestyles, different upbringings, different education, etc. This truth does not permit equal outcomes. Some people will be successful with what they are given and some will not. Some people will rise from poverty into wealth and some will fall from affluence into destitution.

Therefore, you were successful because you chose to be successful. It was not because you were more privileged than somebody else; it was because you worked hard. And everyone has the opportunity to work hard in order to better themselves. So, when you create policies to theoretically “prop someone up” in order to give them an “equal” advantage, you are not doing anything to change this. They are ultimately the arbiters of their own destiny.

Minimum wages helps no one. It is an artificial price floor to distort the market in favor of groups. That’s why the unions originally created it and that’s why they promote it today while also exempting themselves from it. It is because I understand these inconvenient truths that I do not support the minimum wage. And I find it quite sad that a supposed “business owner” would not understand the concept. But then again, what would you expect from someone who’s blog tagline is, “The Revolution will not be televised. This is a treatise against the oligarchy. Fuck the rich. Worked hard and got a raise to $8.44.

There is no way I would’ve ever expected to earn $15 an hour for doing that. You’ve got to be joking. It was a shitty and exhausting job working in the Phoenix heat, but that doesn’t equate to earning more.

Okay quick age check here. I’m 30 and have seen how little the dollar is worth now, 2.15 in 1965 is over 22.50 now, minimum wage is a living wage and until Reaganomics ruined it people weren’t dumb enough to believe the shit your spewing

Dear @youngbull1985,

I hate to break it to you but you are a 30 year-old economic illiterate. The federal minimum wage in 1965 was $1.25 which is $9.38 in 2015 dollars. So, you’re not even close and obviously got your progressive talking points messed up somewhere.

Furthermore, inflation has nothing to do with wage rates. That’s just an economic fallacy to begin with. The progressives just use it anyway to invoke an emotional response from ignorant people that do not understand the math. The same can be said about the meaningless term “living wage.” There is no such thing as a “living wage.” That term is completely subjective and holds absolutely no real value.

Do yourself a favor and forget everything you think you know about the minimum wage or “Reaganomics” and pick up an actual history book or take a basic economics class and educate yourself. Because repeating completely bogus talking points you learned from other idiot progressives online is not helping anyone. Until then, your vote is cancelling out someone else’s that understands the world better than you.

Militarism 8. Anti-Communism 1. Nationalism 2. Authoritarianism 3. Social Darwinism 4. Indoctrination 5. Propaganda 6. Anti-Intellectualism 7. Militarism 8. Anti-Communism ANY QUESTIONS? COM
lolingatliberals:

Back in the day, youngins used to go on Memebase to laugh at funny pictures of Cats wearing pieces of toast as helmets — Today, this same site also seems to offer the occasional bit of political advice to it’s 12-18 year old primary userbase.

How lovely.

But let’s take a look at what shit they are shoveling to our kids, yes?

1. Nationalism.

True. Both GOP members and the Nazis were nationalistic. But did both subscribe to a shared patriotism of the same land? This is important to consider because being nationalistic means absolutely nothing on it’s own. People who consider themselves patriotic generally are subscribing to the values that their nation has adopted as being representative of their own personal ideologies.

Thus, being nationalistic means nothing on it’s own unless you factor in the principles that nation exhibits as a primary variable.

Canadians are some of the most nationalistic people on the planet earth.. As were the Russians of the old Soviet Union. Are they much like Nazi Germany simply because of it?

2. Authoritarianism.

Defined by Wikipedia as:

dictatorship: a form of government in which the ruler is an absolute dictator (not restricted by a constitution or laws or opposition etc.).

Indeed, Nazi Germany was a one-party dictatorship run by Adolf Hitler. There was no declaration of rights signed by his Government, nor was any dissent allowed without harsh consequence.

By contrast, the Tea Party is:

Anti-big Government, and,

Pro-Constitution.

Those two factors alone disrupt this entire second point.. Both because the Tea Party favors limiting the authority of Government, and because their hyper Constitutionalism would never allow the infringement of the liberties granted within.

Freedom of Speech, Faith, and Property are essential tenets to Republicanism.

3. Social Darwinism.

Social Darwinism is a theory based in the notion that environments shape the groups within those environments. Basically, ensuring that the group most capable of survival in that environment will ultimately inherit it.

I don’t quite understand what this has to do with politics — But I am assuming the Liberals have taken a racial edge to this long-held component of biology. In that case, I’d simply laugh and remind them that it was the Republicans who freed the slaves, and ensured the Constitution [pesky little bugger] protected them to the full extent of which it protected every other person who stepped foot on American soil.

The Democrats [confederacy] were responsible for the push for the dehumanization of non-whites, and formed the original KKK.

Still — Somehow the Tea Party is racist for wanting to encourage the independence of every American citizen, and not perpetuate the emotional bondage of historical victimization and Government dependency of African-Americans and other minorities.

4. Indoctrination.

Because being a loathed minority political group is akin to indoctrination.

[See: Projection]

Mind you, I would dare ask a Liberal who, exactly, is not indoctrinated.. Most likely, their answer will include themselves, and anyone who thinks like themselves.. Which is a perfect segway intoooooo~

5. Propaganda.

Propaganda simply means any biased information used to mislead others into viewing a group or person favorably or unfavorably. It is used by every company, group, political leader, ideology, etc… No one is exempt from the use of propaganda to attempt to sway others to see their point of view as being the ‘right’ point of view.

The picture I am replying to is propaganda. It is pro-Liberalism in nature with the intention of attempting to sway it’s readers towards subscribing to the same paradigm it does.

My blog is propaganda… Tumblr is propaganda.

What Liberals argue about propaganda is a case study in how effective propaganda can be. They are so indoctrinated that they truly believe that their ideology isn’t one. They are without ideology. Their views are without bias. Their political subscription is simply the absolute best thing that no one but like-minded comrades seem to understand.

6. Anti-Intellectualism.

Define intellectualism, love.

7. Militarism.

Militarism is simply defined as believing in having a strong national defense system and military.

How awful.

I mean.. It’s just so capitalistic, you know? It’s not like anyone else has armies. We are just war mongering in supporting our troops and securing our borders.. And just meddling when we try to stop Governments from mass-slaughtering their own people overseas.

8. Anti Communism.

My favorite!

The Nazis were Socialists. In fact, the word ‘Nazi’ is an abbreviation of the National Socialist Worker’s Party’s German title. The Nazis were not anti-Communism.. They were anti-Soviet Union.

And yes.. The Tea Party, as all Conservatives, are anti Communism — But not without support, in this area! The 100,000,000+ people who died under Communist rule in only about 100 years are pretty anti-Communist, too.

[Goddamn..]

The original post is HILARIOUSLY stupid. I mean what even?
