Young QuikTrip Employee Claims to be a Teacher who Might get Fired for Performing a Psychological Experiment on Students; Recent Post History does not Support Claims to Employment as a Teacher.: r/tifu + JOIN 2 O1 3 3 1 2 TIFU by joking with my students S So this happened last week, but only now am I feeling the consequences. I am a high school teacher, and I genuinely feel like I have a good relationship with my students. For one of my larger exams (40 mc) I made every answer C, except for 2 questions. The topic is generally a very easy one, with most students getting high marks. As my students began I saw them start to fidget, then eyeing each other nervously. There was lots of second guessing and erasing, as to be expected. Eventually one student turned in his exam and immediately half the class followed. I was amazed at just how many students didn't trust their gut and had a multitude of answers. The next day I told my classes what I had done and why, we discussed it at length. It is a psychology class after all. We took a version of the test where the answers were more appropriately scrambled as a class. We went into detail about how we all second guess ourselves, and where a gut reactions come from and just generally trusting yourself. Everyone walked away with 100s and seemingly a good laugh. Have a good weekend. I thought that was the end of it. I walk in on Monday with a flurry of emails from parents, my principle, a few vice principles, and a couple counselors. None were happy.Apparently parents were not fans of the test I had given. And the circumstances surrounding the whole event. Even though it had no adverse affect on anyone or their grades, some students still "suffered" I just had a sit down with my department chair and a few others from the school board, because guess that was necessary. And now I've been informed I'm being put on leave until they can decide what to do about me. Tl;dr I gave high school kids anxiety by giving them 100% on a psychology test and got put on leave because of it. Has anybody looked at this guys post history? This doesn't seem like a teacher's Reddit account... Funny how there juuu t happens to be a couple people who decide to take a political stance, as well Reply 205 People on reddit are insanely gullible. Dude's history sure makes it look like he works at QikTrip. Also, not responding at all in the thread is a huge red flag. But people want their outrage porn and any excuse to be mad at "kids these days" 41 4h Funny how many people are saying "What is wrong with the world these days???" when they instantly believe a story on the internet and based their world views on it. 53 sh People believe anything they read.
