It’s small, perfect for traveling, and this lock is CRAZY. It’s so simple but the door does not move. You can’t see it from the other side, either. It also cost about $20, and I can’t recommend it enough. Easy to travel with, too! Great for Air BnBs! That’s why I have these on my doors. They get drilled into the side and once its flipped over the door nothing is getting it open. Not the door being unlocked nothing, I’ve unlocked the door and pulled and pushed as hard as I could and it didn’t budge. When I go on a trip this is what I use and when I’m home I leave it on too. No one is getting in here. Okay I know that it is necessary for many but what do you do if you need medical attention and you’re not able to open the door from the inside? Can the fire department get through these at least? Yes. The fire department can and will break down your door if necessary, it’s one of the reasons they have axes; it’s entirely possible for door frames to melt/expand/seize or otherwise become unopenable during a house fire but the door itself can be hacked down. Or the window. In rare cases, the wall. Firefighters don’t fuck around with collateral damage when lives are at stake. Sharing for all the safety items!! This is horrifying that these things are even necessary. Reblog to save a frickin life I’ve got the addalock one from above (plus a bar for my sliding door and additional window locks) and it gives me serious piece of mind. : dontforgettospeak: wickedwonderlandd: trinikelly1984: morgrimmoon: letsmcflytobritain: deminat-20: smiling-grouch: ocean-again: loueejii: facelesssavior: twitblr: Dormant Predators This is why I have this. True story : Fat rat stuck in manhole rescued by firefighters in Germany KATE LYONS FEBRUARY 27, 2019 A multi-agency rescue operation has taken place in the town of Bensheim in Germany after a tubby rat became stuck in a manhole cover. The rat, still plump with winterspeck - which translates literally as winter bacon and refers to extra pounds piled on in the colder months became stuck after it tried to squeeze through a small gap in the sewer cover. The Auerbach volunteer fire brigade was called in, as was the Rhein Neckar animal rescue team, and together a team of about eight rescuers was able to raise the cover and pull the rat free. It took about eight firefighters and an animal expert to help the rat to freedom. Photograph: Berufstierrettung Rhein Neckar/ Freiwillige Feuerwehr Auerbach The rat had quite a lot of winter fat and got stuck on its hips _nothing was going forward and nothing back," animal rescuer Michael Sehr told news agency DPA Photos of the rat showed its head and rotund torso poking out of the hole, with its bottom half obscured by the sewer cover. In one image it seemed to almost be calling for hilfe. The fire brigade said the rat escaped unhurt. "The animal was subsequently released again into the wild. The fire department's operation was completed after a good 25 minutes," said the Auerbach fire department. After the successful rescue, two young girls presented the animal rescue teanm with a gift to say thank you- a drawing of a rat surrounded by love hearts with the word "danke!" written on it. Sehr told DPA he did not have any qualms about rescuing the rat. "Even animals that are hated by many people deserve respect," he said. True story

After terrorists struck the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, a New York ferry captain who later became a city firefighter helped evacuate hundreds of people from Lower Manhattan. He was Thomas Phelan, 45, one of the many heroes who came to the city's rescue after the attack. Phelan died on Friday, authorities said, one of the thousands of victims of cancer linked to the 9-11 attack. Phelan worked for Circle Line Statue of Liberty ferry cruises when the twin towers were hit and helped ferry people from Lower Manhattan, FDNY spokesman Jim Long confirmed. In 2003, Phelan joined the fire department as a firefighter and eventually was promoted to marine pilot, Long said. He passed away from cancer. His illness was believed to be related to his exposure to the toxic fumes swirling around Ground Zero, officials and friends said.: After terrorists struck the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, a New York ferry captain who later became a city firefighter helped evacuate hundreds of people from Lower Manhattan. Setzer and his friend were the only guests who he hadn't known in advance, he said. But everyone had a blast, and that was the goal said Bowman. And the fire department really enjoyed it because they got a free meal on Sunday, and the homeless shelter, they enjoyed it because they got meals too Tm a people-person, and I enjoy people, so what beter way than to have strangers over and invite people and just have fun?" he said. "t probably sounds really weird, but you can get away with it in North Carolina Setzer said Bowman was "an absolute sweetheart and a really genuine guy," and he's so glad he went to the barbecue. orgy?utm-term-.ur270Klpv#yfXpzGdkZ Source:identifica 255,781 notes
A 61-year old bi dude used Grindr to organize a “BBQ not n orgy” via /r/wholesomememes https://ift.tt/2LTjcAl
