I have seen some people in the past days casting doubts on Tumblr because the blogs that were banned had social justice content.  But that was the point exactly. They posted some real things and a lot of half-truths that would appeal to the kind of politics on here and therefore spread disinformation to discourage us from participating in stopping Trump through the only option we had. I’m glad tumblr left these posts up so we could see for ourselves.  I don’t know if it actually worked on anyone, I hope we all remember to check our sources before making our decisions, but life is short and maybe some people didn’t.  There are plenty of real social justice blogs available still, so I hope we will follow those instead. : Bloomberg Business @business Follow "I don't believe in free college": Hillary Clinton during #DemDebate bloom.bg/1 K1JVXR RETWEETS L 136 LIKES justaphage: loseremo: holyromanhomo: fonzworthcutlass: scrunyuns: lagonegirl: Of course you don’t. kimberryberry: kimberryberry: kimberryberry: kimberryberry: I call this magic trick “one hour in the bathroom” After posting this i have been bombarded with some awful anon messages; “do you seriously look like a 60 year old woman”, “you’re really one ugly motherf*cker under all that makeup”, “i know you’re not naturally pretty but stop trying so hard” are some highlights.  Congratulations, you have successfully made the observation I am not as attractive without makeup while pulling an awful face and freshly rolled out of bed. Well done. Gold star for the simple mind who can follow the rules of spot the difference. I guess i need to clarify why i posted this in the first place, because the underlying message wasn’t strong enough for some.  I posted this, so girls especially, can laugh at me. Furthermore a reflection of themselves. Its healthy to laugh at yourself and be modest about your looks. To stop being so hard on yourself and others on purely skin deep observations. Because this is NOT important in life. ‘Natural beauty’ has hardly anything to do with physical features, but more a beautiful soul shining out from within. Being a good friend, family member, lover, worker, a human being.  I’m not naturally stunning by the general publics ridiculous standards but I have learnt not to beat myself up about it because thats not fair on yourself or anyone else. After ten years of being sick I finally realised it got me absolutely no where. Save that energy you would use on self hate for more fulfilling moments like love, honesty, hard work and happiness.  My point being, you’ll never find true happiness through beauty in a physical matter alone. Except those small precious moments where you put on a fresh face of makeup, do your hair, find a cute outfit and catch yourself in the mirror for a second and feel a little better. The ‘I can’t wait to wear my new lipstick/skirt tomorrow’ feeling and so on. Puts a lil skip in your step. We make these transformations for ourselves. Other than that, really, I thought I looked pretty damn funny with my pose and awesome chins but I had to go all deep on you to make you think about the awful things you said to me. Cheers mate Hey its me again, my hands shake as I type this I’m so overwhelmed with whats happened overnight i woke up to 40,000 notes, 500+ positive messages and 4,000+ amazing new followers. I couldn’t be more grateful for the appreciation. I’m so wonderfully happy that what started as a simple post from me as a normal person has helped thousands, whether it be a smile and a scroll or uplifted your day as so many have contacted me to say.  For this I am so thankful   If you want to follow me on ig i’m kimberryberry on there as well :)  I can’t get over how many notes this is getting, all the messages I’m receiving are so amazing I’m so happy I’ve helped so many people see how beautiful they are : kimberryberry: kimberryberry: kimberryberry: kimberryberry: I call this magic trick “one hour in the bathroom” After posting this i have been bombarded with some awful anon messages; “do you seriously look like a 60 year old woman”, “you’re really one ugly motherf*cker under all that makeup”, “i know you’re not naturally pretty but stop trying so hard” are some highlights.  Congratulations, you have successfully made the observation I am not as attractive without makeup while pulling an awful face and freshly rolled out of bed. i-make-doodles-lol: amayr-nua: Story Above is my story about a transgender woman (someone who was assigned male at birth but identifies as female) overcoming denial towards her true self, struggles with family disagreements, the euphoria towards presenting/expressing/passing as her true gender, physical/verbal abuse and eventually finding her own freedom and power and embracing who she really is and coming to the realisation that the real fault is not her, it is the society she grew up in. Below the cut is the comparison(/analysis) of my story with The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde - the text we were required to create an adaption from. + Essay (with Storyboard+Harvard Reference) undercut Keep reading 👀here’s more of what i’ve been doing for university. feel free to read it ahah: STORY As I gazed into her eyes, I saw nothing but a plea to be free. As she returned the deadeye stare, she did not blink Yet she still persisted. She was completely suppressed under my thoughts, skin and bones... yet she still fought against me. Didn't she understand I was protecting her? I forced a smile, and she smiled too. "This is for the best," I told myself. I told her. I told everyone. Of course, she disagreed. She began to look down; shaking her head while letting a laugh filled with her life was still. once pain escape her lips. In a feeble attempt to block her out, I eventually walked away from the mirror. It only took a matter of weeks before I wasn't the only one trying to push away and deny her existence. My parents dismissed she was real. Despite all my efforts to protect her she still got hurt and, right now, all I could do was let her cry. I had to, for I was hurt by those words my parents uttered too. "You're completely delusional," they said. "You're our son, and you will always be our son," they continued. She wouldn't stop crying that night. I hoped it would be the last time l'd see tears. I'd see blood. It was not. Rebellion in the form of expression took over her as time went by. She bought her first dress and her first make up kit – and everything else she felt was necessary to not only progress in spite of our parents' disagreement but also for her own development of becoming her ideal self. I couldn't deny, after all my efforts to ignore her need to be free, it looked so right seeing her present herself the way she'd always wanted. I just wish she didn't have to hide behind me anymore. I tried to reach out to her but she was shaking too much. Her breathing was erratic - unstable. She was terrified. They had hit her. Again. With cruel punches and crueller words that I cannot find the breath to repeat. She was even more desperate to get out and I was no longer the one in charge of her freedom. But, to my surprise, she found her own power. "I will not let them hurt me anymore." She ran out the door and I followed close behind. I was nothing more than a shadow of her past to her now. You see, it was also clear to her now - with her new found freedom over her own life - that she was not what she was made to believe. She was not 'born in the wrong body'. The truth is, she was born into the wrong society. The same society that dictates who we are before we can even think to discover The same society that demonizes those it's not willing to take time to understand, rather than realising that the real monster is its deformed ideal of how people should be. The truth is, she is a woman. She always has been. The truth is 'she' is me. I am 'her'. I always have been. for ourselves. i-make-doodles-lol: amayr-nua: Story Above is my story about a transgender woman (someone who was assigned male at birth but identifies as female) overcoming denial towards her true self, struggles with family disagreements, the euphoria towards presenting/expressing/passing as her true gender, physical/verbal abuse and eventually finding her own freedom and power and embracing who she really is and coming to the realisation that the real fault is not her, it is the society she grew up in. This is unbelievable why doesn’t this have more notes what the actual fuck holy actual fuck if she decided to say this herself w/out direction then like??? oh my GOD This is so important Omg you freaks watch the PBS documentary on her!!!! It’s unreal and she’s my hero OMG I’m already stanning for her. The queen of pop!! this made me cry. we have ruined the world, and it is our responsibility to protect the earth that gave us life, that gives us food, shelter, that inspires awe and wonder. We have to protect the species who did nothing to deserve a world where their deaths seem imminent. This planet is all we have. There is nothing else to do and nowhere else we can go. Sure some of us can go to mars but there are almost 7 billion people on earth. Also, it is immoral to escape this planet and leave it behind because we killed everything that lived in it. we HAVE to start putting environmentalism at the TOP of our list. Rich countries must help poor countries. We must do it for ourselves but also for the countless species that did nothing to deserve this. If you know anything about biology/ecology, in a sense, we are all in this together. We are all related genetically since we  all came from a common ancestor. We are interconnected genetically, but also for survival.. it is a complex chain that often depends on antecedent parts within that “chain/web/tree”. For example, without bees, certain birds, certain animals, we will have no food, flowers, fruits, etc. We are all in this together because we depend on each other. Humans have a little leeway since we have technology and science to help us “beat” this chain reaction, but there will be a point where a decrease in plant and animal biodiversity will kill us off too- no matter how hard we try to survive without our animal and plant brethren. We owe it to ourselves (and our future generations) but also to them. : jackafz: diamond-dogsick: jackafz: earthenwares: typewriterdaily: bruises-bedtimestories: niadil: Koko, a female gorilla that can communicate using sign language has a message for mankind.
