Fashion, Kanye, and Memes: Virgil Abloh Named Louis Vuitton's New Menswear Designer @balleralert Virgil Abloh Named Louis Vuitton’s New Menswear Designer -blogged by @peachkyss ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The founder of streetwear brand Off-White and Kanye West’s longtime creative director, Virgil Abloh, has been named Louis Vuitton’s New Menswear Designer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Abloh is the first African American artistic director, and one of the few black designers at the top of a French heritage house. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The designer expressed his excitement about the new position, saying, “I feel elated. This opportunity to think through what the next chapter of design and luxury will mean at a brand that represents the pinnacle of luxury was always a goal in my wildest dreams. And to show a younger generation that there is no one way anyone in this kind of position has to look is a fantastically modern spirit in which to start.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bringing Abloh onboard is going to bring a new look and vibe to the men’s collection. “Product is only one part of the luxury narrative,” he continued. “I want to use Louis Vuitton’s history with travel to really look at different cultures around the world to help make all our humanity visible. When creativity melds together with global issues, I believe you can bring the world together. Fashion on this level can really open eyes.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although Abloh has taken on a new position, he will continue to run Off-White, which he says is for his 17-year-old self. Louis Vuitton will represent who he is today at 37-years-old. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection will make its debut in June for Paris Men Fashion Week. Congratulations to Virgil Abloh on your new position!

America, Future, and Hulu: moviepass 533% 4359 CASSIE LANGDON Card valid only at MoviePass Theatres BUSINESS NETFLIX FOR MOVIE TIX Mar 23 | MoviePass applies subscription model to movie ticket sales; acquiring 2 million subscribers faster than Netflix, Hulu and Spotify. MoviePass, a movie-ticket subscription service that allows users to attend one movie a day for $6.95 a month (reducing the cost of a single ticket to significantly less than the national average,) is about to surpass 3 million total users in its first 5 months. ___ As streaming services like Netflix and Hulu increase in popularity, movie theaters have been trying to reinvent the theater experience by reimagining the concession counter and making seats more luxurious. Even so, theater attendance did not increase in 2016, and experts are predicting a 4 percent decline in 2017 (a 22-year low). ___ Movie pass provides hope for attendance numbers in the future, even though theater companies are wary of the introduction of the new service. When Lowe announced the plan for the cut-rate subscription service back in August, AMC Entertainment, North America’s largest multiplex operator, released a warning statement saying the company is “not welcome here” and threatening legal action. ___ The ticketing firm was launched by a former founding executive of Netflix, Mitch Lowe. Lowe said in a recent statement, “We’re actually shocked,” adding, “We seem to have hit a nerve in America.” Even though AMC execs are not interested sharing admissions or concessions revenue, Lowe claims the goal of his company is simply “to strive for mutually beneficial relationships.”

Birthday, Friends, and Game of Thrones: MILLIONAIRE MENTOR WE ALL HAVE THE SAME 24 HOURS IN A DAY, HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOURS? Everyone has the same 24 hours each day. How are you spending yours? Our time is incredibly valuable. We can choose to spend it having coffee with a friend, chilling out in yoga class, or catching up on the lastest episode of Game of Thrones. By why is it that most of the time, we are playing catch-up instead of doing what we love? Filling our schedules with appointments, meetings and deadlines. Of course, some of our obligations are unavoidable, but everything is a choice. How you choose to spend your hours each day is a personal decision. Sometimes the decision is a tough one, but it’s always a choice. - You MUST put your needs first Often when we feel that we have no choice, it’s because we are putting others’ needs before our own. We’ll disappoint our friends if we don’t make the birthday party, or we’ll miss out on a potential new client if we don’t attend the meeting. But if we are feeling stressed and unhappy, we are missing out on life. There will always be times when obligations seem to take over your life despite your best intentions. Sometimes, sacrificing your sacred time is necessary in order to be there for a close friend, or to accomplish a goal. It’s up to you to choose what you value and give away your time when you feel that it’s important. It’s a constant reviewing and editing of your commitments in order to create the life that works for you. - How are your using your 24hrs? Life, Memes, and True: WE DON'T GROW WHENTHINGS ARE EASY WE GROW WHEN WE FACE CHALLENGES. Have you ever noticed how often the challenges we face also contains a blessing in disguise? If not, perhaps you haven’t been looking closely enough! Granted, life’s challenges usually seem like inconveniences when they interrupt our schedules, or get in the way of something we want to do. Isn’t that part of the reason we call them challenges? Everything changes when we learn to see life’s challenges in a whole new light. What if we could learn to see them as highly beneficial experiences, adventures in learning, or even as a blessing in disguise?🤔 - HERE are a few questions you can ask yourself when facing challenges: ✔️What can I learn from this? Too often we view a challenges to be annoying, when in fact it may hold a great opportunity to learn and grow! If we start by asking ourselves, “what can I learn from this experience?” it immediately puts a more positive spin on the situation. It allows us to discover something worth appreciating about our experience. It makes it possible to recognize true value that might have gone unnoticed, and to see opportunity and possibility instead of inconvenience and annoyance. ✔️How can this strengthen me? One major reason why a challenge might intimidate us is because we don’t feel capable of handling it. We may have a limited perception of our own abilities, so we automatically believe that the challenge is bigger than we are. If we learn to see each challenge as an opportunity to become stronger and more capable, everything changes. ✔️How can I use this to my advantage? More often than not, we tend to view a challenge as a disadvantage, but is that necessarily true? When something gets in our way, what do we do? Don’t we start searching for a different strategy to accomplish our goal? The challenge may prove to be a blessing if it helps us discover a better way to do something. Thanks to the challenge, we may be able to replace a flawed strategy with one that works much better. 👉Your attitude and perception are something that you create. They are not dictated by your circumstances. You always have a choice! 😉 - challenges success trouble millionairementor
