castielific: wolfinthethorns: Honestly, in my work as a therapist, I’m seeing this A Lot, and tbh I still don’t have a satisfactory approach to it. A heavy dose of Existentialist “create your own Purpose” tempered with “when the plane’s going down, put your own oxygen mask on first”, but… yeah, there is no ethical way to work on individual emotional distress without acknowledging the systemic socioeconomic, geopolitical fuckery going on at the moment, and the sheer grief that comes with it. I’m a guidance counselor/psychologist for teenagers and it’s getting really hard to motivate young people to work for a future they don’t believe in.   They look at ther future and see global warming, wwIII, unemployement, political unstability, poison in everything  they eat, the earth and animals dying all around them.  I saw this video where someone was asking french teens in the 50s how they imagine the future would be. The war hadn’t been over for long and yet it was all positive with like peace and flying cars and such. Then they went and ask the same questions to nowadays teens and hell that was depressing. Some still had hope, but it was just that “well I hope I’ll have a nice house and maybe some kid” but there was such a hesitancy to it, like they didn’t dare to hope too much.  People mock Greta Thunberg but what they don’t get is that when she said “you stole my dreams”, it was the truth.  Young people don’t get to dream like they used to. They don’t dream anymore, they grief all that won’t be anymore and that’s just so fucking sad.  : castielific: wolfinthethorns: Honestly, in my work as a therapist, I’m seeing this A Lot, and tbh I still don’t have a satisfactory approach to it. latining: note-a-bear: krockafella: So fucked up. To be clear, a major part of this is that there are very limited avenues to pursue stunt work generally, and those are heavily guarded by a word of mouth network of white men and, more recently, white women. Before anyone talks about the perceived ease of East Asian stunt performers, keep in mind that at least in the US, the vast majority are contracted because of specific proficiency and often as silent fodder for white heroes. That aside, there are plenty of talented performers who lack only the formal guidance to be *safe* and *recognized* stunt actors. There was just a guardian(?) article profiling some of the Black Women breaking into the UK stunt scene. (Previously Gotham was called out for using white stunt doubles for jada pinkett-smith) Here’s the Guardian article about black stuntwomen and larger problems with inequality in the industry. : April @ReignOfApril Follow Ryan Coogler said finding Black stuntwomen was a challenge for @theblackpanther. But instead of using blackfaced white women (WHICH HAPPENS MORE THAN YOU KNOW), he expanded his reach and cast dancers and athletes. Q 2 Follow Romanticising womanhood is not good for men. In fact, it is an insult. You cannot claim to accept you are inferior on one hand and then perform mental gymnastics in order to make yourself feel better about that. You will ultimately end up kidding yourself that you are, somehow, quietly equal, and that is itself offensive to mankind; you are not, and never will be, equal to men by any stretch of the imagination. Anything else is fantasy. Taking joy in being a good woman i:s wonderful. Taking pride in being a woman, for any reason, is not. Remember that all of your achievements, progress and joy in life come only as a result of male guidance, control and assertiveness. Remind yourself how lost you would be without it. The instrument does not gain praise after a great orchestra; the composer does It is this tendency which partly creates the need for strict boundaries and regular discipline. Whether or not you think you are good enough to believe comforting lies and remain a good woman is immaterial. You are not capable of knowing that for sure, ever. Remember this during discipline. Remember it always dr0pacid: roastedoranges: yallarewild: dr0pacid: shameshack: it is with a heavy heart that i must announce that antifemalesociety is at it again @yallarewild this is a whole new type of crazy i’m gonna mcfucking lose it Hi quick question what kind of motive was this guy trying to make while writing this His page is about some sort of anti woman “movement” as he calls it.
