Beautiful, Bless Up, and Chicago: l just rescued this beautiful girl, and she is sleeping inside for the first time in her life Reddit u/CollectiveOfCells @DrSmashlove So I’m texting with my lil homegirl in Toronto and I’m like “aye y’all got Chil Fil A in Toronto 🤔” and she like “nah” and I’m like “aight when u slide thru Chicago it’s on” and she like “smash! We don’t fvck with Chik Fil A! 😤” And that’s when I had to stop her right there, bruv. See I don’t blame u Canadians because y’all really woke the long way but I gotta splain sum real quick. We all out here tryina make things right. U feel me? We all taking a stand. Against inequality. Against intolerance. I feel that. My fist in the air too, sis. BUT REVOLT HAS A LINE THAT CANNOT BE CROSSED AND THAT LINE IS CHIK FIL A 😐😂. Do I like they stance on same sex marriage? No. Do I like they tenders? Also no. I LOVE THEY TENDERS, BRUV. I PEEL OPEN THAT SRIRACHA SAUCE AND I PEEL OPEN THAT POLYNESIAN SAUCE AND I DUNK + TWIRL MY MEAT IN BOTH SAUCES - IN ALTERNATING FASHION - AS MY HEART (and belly, and eye) SHED A SINGLE TEAR OF HAPPINESS. But Smash, what if tomorrow they tweeted ‘Chik Fil A supports the Trump Travel Ban, go back to your country 😤.’ Well see now sis, extraordinary measures require extraordinary responses. I would go directly to my jeweler Tony on Wabash. I would say “Tony my dude imma need a cross.” Tony: “smash...you don’t wear crosses(?)” Me: “TONY GIMME THE CROSS AND STOP AXING QUESTIONS. MAKE SURE IT GOT JESUS ON IT. Put diamonds in the thorns too 🙂.” And I would stroll to Chik Fil A on State Street. And put that cross on, go in and say “two orders of tenders and a peach milkshake please.” The black cashier would eye me. I would eye her back. I would look down. I would look back up and see her shaking her head: “smash...I served u daily during Ramadan. DAILY. In here like a crack addict at sundown in your suit - 8:32 pm on the dot I’m handing you tenders. And you’re back? After what they said about the trump ban? Wearing a CROSS(?)” And I would, with a solemn stare, mouth the following words “sis...issa time to fight and it’s a time to eat. The only thing standing between me and the dinner God hath planned for me is you. YOU COULD CATCHETH THESE HANDS. Glory be to Jesus.” BLESS UP 😩😍😂😂😂

Colin Kaepernick, Community, and Memes: Colin Kaepernick Has Reportedly Agreed To Sit Down With NFL Players and Owners to Talk Racial Inequality and lssues @balleralert Colin Kaepernick Has Reportedly Agreed To Sit Down With NFL Players and Owners to Talk Racial Inequality and Issues – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just weeks after the initial meeting between NFL players and owners to discuss racial issues within the community and possible solutions regarding the national anthem controversy, ColinKaepernick has reportedly agreed to attend the next meeting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to Yahoo Sports, Kaepernick has agreed to sit down with the same people he recently filed a grievance against. Sources tell the publication that the meeting will take place sometime next week, to continue the discussion about league’s involvement in social activism. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although Kaepernick was invited to the first meeting, he declined in fear that the NFL would be opposed to his attendance. This time, however, the league says it looks forward to the conversation, as several players have said Kaepernick is important to their efforts against racial inequality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While the league’s national anthem policy remains the same, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has expressed that he would prefer players to stand during the anthem. But, it is still not required.

Baltimore Ravens, Disappointed, and Donald Trump: Shannon Sharpe Calls Out Ray Lewis For His Hypocrisy @balleralert Read More: www.balleralert.conm Shannon Sharpe Calls Out Ray Lewis For His Hypocrisy - blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the weekend, Donald Trump launched an attack on NFL players who kneel in protest of police brutality and racial injustices during the National Anthem. In the movement that started more than 14 months ago, when ColinKaepernick took a knee against racial oppression and inequality, many were opposed to his decision to kneel during the national song. However, others supported the movement, as the protest was never about the anthem or the flag, but about what it represents for some and not others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After Trump challenged NFL owners to fire the “sons of bitches” who disrespect the flag and country by kneeling during the anthem, many were inclined to react, including those who were previously opposed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In Sunday’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars, RayLewis, who continuously condemned Kaepernick for starting the movement last season, took a knee during the anthem. In turn, several called out Lewis for his hypocrisy, including one of his “very best friends,” FS1 “Undisputed” host, ShannonSharpe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I’m very disappointed in one of my very best friends, Ray Lewis,” Sharpe said on-air Monday. “Ray Lewis sat in that chair right there and said he could never kneel, he could never not stand for the national anthem because so many people died and he had family members that fight for this country… and the flag means so much to him and he kneeled. Not on one knee – on both knees. So what are you kneeling for?” he asked – speculating that his decision was solely based on Trump’s comments. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “And that’s what I find so ironic about this, Skip,” Sharpe continued. “The very people that said they would never, ever kneel – I just want to know what are you unifying against?........to read the rest log on to BallerAlert.com (clickable link on profile)

Bad, Feminism, and Memes: ls it Racist? Racism is... Systemic oppression Reinforced by society Harmful to a group of people Based on history of power, oppression, and inequality Racism is not... Simply about hurt feelings x Only an issue of being offended Just a rude statement based on racial bias Reverse racism is not real. The sociological definition of racism is power+prejudice; thus you can be prejudiced against someone, but without systemic power, it's not "racism" (it is still bad and wrong obviously). We use the sociological definition of racism, since sociologists study society and things like racism and discrimination 🙂 same reason we use scientific definitions for scientific phenomena and not just default to a basic general dictionary definition. If you are white and this upsets you, please think about history and the evolution of society. No one is saying white people have easy lives with no problems or that things are handed to you...just that racism is a SYSTEMIC issue that has to do with who has and has previously had power. And that ending slavery doesn't automatically make everyone equal. It's pretty easy to see that racism is still hugely prevalent today (look at the recent events in Charlottesville, the way people talk about people who are Muslim, the rhetoric around immigration, or anything Trump has ever said about any minority), so instead of debating about whether or not it was racist when a person of color was mean to you, why not focus on fixing these systemic issues and making the world a more equitable place for ALL people 🙃🙃🙃🙃. (Also I generally don't like turning off comments but things get hella messy whenever I post about racism, particularly reverse racism - I am assuming this is from people who follow me and are younger, maybe that live in mostly white areas and don't interact with POC and have never thought about racism??? - or y'all are just racist in which cause pls unfollow because feminism is not only about white women 🙄)

College, Love, and Memes: LOVE MI BLACKNess AND yOURS DAILY CALLER LIKE EDUCATION University Students Want Free Tuition For Blacks As Reparations For Slavery BY DAVID KRAYDEN 20 APRIL 2017 @Regrann from @maarifacircle - Students at Western Kentucky University (WKU) think black students should have free tuition as a means of providing reparations for past wrongs like slavery, Campus Reform reports. In a vote on Tuesday, the Western Kentucky University student government passed a resolution, 19-10, that advocates the recognition of slavery as a “debt that will never be paid” and offer free tuition to black students as compensation. The resolution also seeks the creation of a special task force to investigate the possibility of amending the admissions system so that it is weighted geographically — which, theoretically, would make acceptance at WKU easier for black students.Andre Ambam, who fought for the resolution, told the WKU Herald that racial inequality is the basis of economic inequality — the chief reason for blacks not attending college.“If you really care about diversity, if you really care about inclusion, if you really care about making this campus safe and accessible to everybody, having the student government’s support of reparation[s] for black students would be amazing,” Ambam said.Student senator Lily Nellans said the resolution is designed to compensate black people for the white privilege that has historically defined American society.“A lot of times equality can feel like oppression for those who are losing their advantage, but that’s not a reason we shouldn’t fight for equality,” Nellans said. - - 🔰"Malcolm X — 'These negroes aren't asking for no nation. Books, Life, and Memes: Dear white people: nobody is saying that your life isn't hard. Mental and physical illness don't discriminate. Prejudice on the basis of sexuality, gender, ability, and age can limit every race's opportunities. Socioeconomic inequality and limited class mobility negatively impact working people of every colour. Our education and health care systems disadvantage every race's youth and rural people of every race largely don't have access to essential resources that our government should guarantee. Nobody is saying that these issues don't exist or that your life is easy. When we talk about white privilege, we're not saying that white people don't have problems. We're saying that white people don't have problems purely derived from whiteness. The criminal justice system favours white defendants. White immigrants are far less likely to be mistreated or deported. People with white-sounding names are more likely to be hired and promoted. White women don't struggle with a culture of racial disrespect and fetishisation. The Western standard for physical beauty centres around white features and the face of the media is largely white. Even our history books tell the white man's story, leaving centuries of racial oppression in the footnotes. The average white person won't recognise this as privilege, because these things aren't perks. They're basic rights guaranteed in a way that people of colour's rights never were. So if someone tells you that you have white privilege, don't get offended, it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's something to recognise, understand, and use for good. It's what makes you an ally.
