Bad, Beard, and Comfortable: nOrma1-people-sxare-me A group of rough looking boys walked past me today and all I heard of their conversation was "he's got that anxiety disorder bro so I went with him so he'd be more comfortable" and it made me realise the world isn't all that bad fitzefitcher #this is team skull its-just-a-phage The pet store I worked at had a pen with rabbits near the front door. On every side of the pen were huge signs saying "You can pet me, but don't pick me up!" One day two absolutely huge guys came in and one immediately reaches into the pen to grab a rabbit. Before i could say anything his friend grabbed his arm and asked him "did you see the sign?" He said "yeah! it says that you can pick them up but don't pet them!" Then he went quiet for a moment and softly said "I didn't read it right did I?" And his friend just puts his arm on his shoulder and said "its ok, i know you've got that thing where words get mixed up. Let just pet these cute lil shits" And I still haven't gotten over that interaction. flowernstt I was walking my dog through Boston bc he likes the likes car rides. He's a little thing tbh we call him short and long So this huge scary man with a full beard approaches me like "hey can my buddy and I pet your dog? He gets nervous around dogs but your's is so small I think it's a good place to start." Ofc I was like "yes he's very friendly!" So this guy brings his equally big friend over and they sit on the floor while this man looks terrified of my tiny dog so big man number one asks "canl pick him up?" And i say yes so he picks him up and puts him on man number two's lap and man number two is abt to freak out and his friend straight up just goes "hey man, it's okay just relax I'd never let anything hurt you. He'sa good boy." I'll never forget it ever bcI know that man looked at me (5'3, glasses, probably wearing a sweater vest) and my dog (kinda goofy looking little thing) and was like 'ah ves the two least intimidating living things I've seen in Boston all day he'll feel relaxed around them and went out of his way to help his friend. It makes me so happy wholesome stories

It may be out of character for me to say this but rock on

Bikers Against Child Abuse was founded in 1995 by a Native American child psychologist whose ride name is Chief, when he came across a young boy who had been subjected to extreme abuse and was too afraid to leave his house. He called the boy to reach out to him, but the only thing that seemed to interest the child was Chief’s bike. Soon, some 20 bikers went to the boy’s neighborhood and were able to draw him out of his house for the first time in weeks.
Chief’s thesis was that a child who has been abused by an adult can benefit psychologically from the presence of even more intimidating adults that they know are on their side. “When we tell a child they don’t have to be afraid, they believe us,” Arizona biker Pipes told azcentral.com. “When we tell them we will be there for them, they believe us.”
( Article)
More about BACA, from their site

My parents are a part of this organization and they are metal af

They go on runs to protect the child if they feel even the slightest threatened no matter where. Even when you’re 40 and the perp gets released from jail, they’ll come meet with you and find your best options for avoiding the person and maintaining the life you’ve built for yourself. Once a BACA child, always a BACA child. In Florida, there’s 100% rate for identifying the perp based on the child’s testimony. Why? This post changed my life. I saw this post. Forever ago. And thought it was only in america… and wished desperately that they could help me. But then I saw it again, during a bad episode, and checked their site. They aren’t just in the USA

They’re in Canada as well and probably other countries. I met and talked with a native guy who runs the place near me. His name is Shaman. I got in, and I’m considered a BACA child now. Despite being 17, turning 18 when I talked to them. They spent time with me when my abuser was over, they gave me therapy resources. They give you something called a ‘level 1′ where they go to your house with as many bikers as they can, i shit you not a solid 20-40 bikers came from even out of province, and met me. I got to choose my biker name and I got a vest with patches on it and my name on it. They all hugged a Teddybear before giving it to me, and told me if I ever felt the BACA bear was running out of love, to give them a call and they’d refill it for me, and then I got a ride on one of their bikes. Just a day or so ago I went to an annual party with them and they we ate food one of them cooked and had a lot of laughs.

I’ve never felt as loved as I did being a part of the BACA family. They also gave me dog tags with the names, and phone numbers of my 2 workers. So I can call them whenever I feel scared.

BACA is an absolutely wonderful group that will do everything in it’s power to help any child whos been abused.

And it doesn’t end when you’re 18 either. As long as you get in contact/get your level 1 before you’re 18? you’re ALWAYS a BACA kid. I’m 18 now and they still invite me to parties, ask me if I’m okay, and are there for me. They’re still trying to find me resources for therapy.

BACA has changed my fucking life.

I hope you all can read this, and reblog it knowing from someone who fucking been with them, that they are absolutely amazing.

This is truly amazing, I’m so glad people like this exist

This needs to be reblogged. Because.

Always reblog BACA.

Being Alone, Love, and Memes: DEEP CONVERSATIONS WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE PRICELESS @MILLIONAIRE MENTOR But then your question is… How do I connect with influential people? Read on 👀 ✔️Treat them like real people. While you don’t want to go in the opposite direction and play the “too cool for school” game, try not to spend your time openly fangirling over the person you’re talking to. It’s actually quite uncomfortable to have people gushing over you, and it doesn’t allow for you two to talk as equals. This all sounds really obvious but I’ve heard horror stories about people totally losing it when meeting someone they admire. 🤔 ✔️Don’t be afraid to get a little personal. Talking to important people about their professional lives is already intimidating enough, let alone when they start diving into something personal that doesn’t have anything to do with their career. Keep in mind that real relationships are built once you start straying away from simple small talk , so if the other person opens up that opportunity to really connect, don’t shy away from it! ✔️Don’t skip the follow-up. After you’ve had the opportunity to talk to someone who’s successful and impressive, you might feel like you’re being a nuisance by following up after the conversation. Don’t be! - Comment below someone you would love to meet And why) and talk for at least 30 mins! Go! - influence success mentors millionairementor

Billboard, Lawyer, and Memes: Nelly's Rape Accuser Asks Police to Stop The Investigation, Says She Can't Stand Up To A Celebrity And She Can't Handle It @balleralert 10 Nelly’s Rape Accuser Asks Police to Stop The Investigation, Says She Can’t Stand Up To A Celebrity And She Can’t Handle It – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just days after the attorney in the alleged rape case against Nelly suggested that he broke Washington state law by bullying and intimidating the alleged victim, TMZ reports that she is now refusing to testify and wants the whole case thrown out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Earlier this week, Karen Koehler, who represents the alleged victim, wrote a letter in response to Nelly’s claims about the victim, in which he described her as a “person with an agenda” who is seeking “money, fame and notoriety. In the letter, according to Billboard, Koehler wrote, “it is morally reprehensible for an accused person and his bully lawyer to issue derogatory and defamatory statements against a young alleged rape victim.” She said, “it is also criminal – in the state of Washington – when those vicious attacks are issued in the form of threats.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, despite Koehler’s letter, the alleged victim feels like she can’t stand up to a celebrity. According to TMZ, the victim told Auburn officials and the King County D.A. to “put a halt to the criminal investigation of [Nelly]. She will not testify further in a criminal proceeding against him.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Koehler says the victim feels as if the system has failed her. She said, “Who will believe her. People are saying horrible things already. She cannot handle this. She is about to break.”

Bad, Goals, and Memes: SPOILER FREE REVIEW: Ok guys just got done watching Spiderman Homecoming. Another cool movie by MCU. This was a fun movie for lack of better terms. It had great story progression and all the humor you already expect from a Marvel movie. Alright now for some pros, cons and rating. . . PROS: Tom Holland is a great Spiderman, no doubts about that. He was witty, energetic and charasmatic. Everything you can expect out of the character of Spiderman. Secondly, as we all know one of MCU's greatest downfalls is their villains. Surprisingly the villain was great! He was intimidating and genuinely felt like he would do whatever needed to be done to accomplish his goals. His reasoning for becoming the way he did made perfect sense and *POTENTIAL SPOILER* his similarity with how Tony became rich was pretty clever by the writers. This just gave him all the more reason to be able to live with himself even though he was a criminal. To wrap up the pros, the second half of this movie was simply greatness. Loved the small plot twist in the dynamic of Peter's character and how it tied into the Vulture. . . CONS: First things first, Flash was a terrible "bully". Undoubtedly the worst casting in the movie. He is not intimidating at all. He would instead be the guy to get bullied rather than bullying others. Secondly, although Tom was a great Spiderman, he was extremly clumsy in most of his action sequences. *POTENTIAL SPOILER* He even admitted to sort of being afraid of heights at one point. He looked like a really bad rookie throughout most of the movie. I wouldn't have been bothered by this so much if we hadn't see him go toe to toe with some of the avengers in Civil War. It just looks like he lost his touch or somehow his abilities were downgraded. (For those of you wondering this movie does take place AFTER Civil War). Lastly I didn't like his chemistry with Liz. It felt a little forced and I didn't see how or when she became attracted to Peter. All in all I was tuned out of the first half of the movie . It was a bit boring and dragged on. . .
